So I thought I'd try something new and backtrain boxes/some weapons off Kra'Hei, work my weapons/stealths/defenses off Celps.
Seems to be going well...can't move TM at all, but the rest train well enough so I can't complain. Celps prove a fun challenge, occasionally landing a lucky hit (even 1-shotting my leg at a time)

But, here's my big issue with the whole thing. At one point a Calpeze manages a light hit to my chest with their stinger. This of course poisons me - surprisingly critical-strength, which has never been the case in the multiple times they've successfully stung my limbs. More oddly...

The scuff was such a severe poison that it spread? Ok, slightly absurd considering how weak a hit it was, but I can accept that I guess.

Time passes, the abdomen poison fades with a trace. Chest is up to this -

I sit at the autopath and barely live (Shame on me, couldn't find the clinic since I'd expected an Empath to be at the green and the only one there is AFK scripting.)

So I wait, only to find out the autopath doesn't take poison. Odd, daresay idiotic, but I figure it's not much an issue.
Five minutes pass of looping chests twinges and "I'll be with you in a minute, lol."
Ten, fifteen, twenty minutes.

Still no Empaths that aren't afk, so I can either take the death, ride out however length of time this poison takes, or logout til more active hours which is a difficult time for me to be on to begin with. It seems like if a monster is going to have a poison that insane that you could at least allow autopaths to heal it, since it's a surefire death otherwise and praying an active Empath is available is a bit much.

you CAn use herbs for the bleeding <ithor potion for chest, muljin sap for abdomen>

Antidotes to poison <and hopefully disease too> will probably be available under "alchemy - remedies> in crafting 3.0.

As empaths will no longer be able to touch necromancers even with ROC up, yes, I have a vested interest in hoping that this technique is available! <G>

As one who keeps a bleeder up constantly for BLB, i've had to deal with disease more often than i would have cared to.

Yeah, it was Ratha, sorry about that. Poison dropped off critical after 50 minutes, eventually faded when I went backtraining.


Funny enough, I tripped over another neat tidbit:

An asaren celpeze lurches forward to stab its tail stinger at you!
Your silver glow flares.
The air around you solidifies into a pale yellow haze, shimmering beneath the attack.
The asaren celpeze's tail lashes at you. The tail stinger lands a glancing strike to your chest!

This happened to my left hand as well (as seen in the log - it's uninjured, yet poisoned) - actually wondering if this is intentional or not.

I know that even the glancing/harmless/grazing blows from celps will often poison you, even if they do no physical damage. It's been a long time since I've hunted them, but IIRC that may be what's happening.
