>>My character doesn't trust anyone and feels anytime anyone does want to do something there is some personal gain attached to it. Traders and Empaths need to "practice" their skills in order to hone them, their Guild Leaders require this to progress through the ranks. That's not really OOC.

If your character doesn't trust Traders, that's one thing. That's just RP - pretty cliched and unoriginal, but it's legitimate RP. No one is claiming this is OOC, or that it shouldn't be allowed.

But when you as a player claim that all Traders skim money from their customers, that is just you, as a player, being a liar. And a jerk. Not as a character, but as a person.

>>People whom make money don't make it by giving their services away free. They end up broke and homeless. To assume that everyone is good natured and won't skim off the top is naive sorry it's not insulting, it's realism.

LOL DR is a game buddy, wake up. If you don't make money in DR you don't go homeless, there is no relation there. Are you homeless in DR? :( And he talks about being OOC har.

I love the idea of RPing a character that doesn't trust anyone, but who will let a trader sell their pouches. That's... rich.

You guys are stingy bastards. I tend to pay traders who sell my pouches for me ~10% the total value of the pouch, seeing as that the increase in profit I see for selling through them, not to mention the convenience of offloading a massive gem pouch in one swoop, is greater than 10% gains on the original value of the pouch.

I tried real hard to make some kind of analogy with waiting tables and tipping, and it just didn't work well.

I tip traders. I never gave a crap if they skimmed. I always got more from them than what the appraisal was for me, so I figure even if they skimmed, I still got more than what I would have.

I make lots of money but can't afford a home in DR. Screw this, I'm voting for Jimmy McMillan in the next Crossing mayoral election

Coming in late to this....I tip traders...gladly.

If I could ensure a trader was available whenever I needed one, I would pay even more.

Frankly I am happy to give coin to anyone who helps me a) get rid of my pouches and b) increases my return by 30 or 40%.
