Hi there,
I have had a Francke fashion consultation card for a while now. I check for his presence every time I log on, I read the calenders and the boards and haven't seen hide nor hair of him since he gave the cards out. Is there any way to get him to come and redeem some of these cards for some alteration work?

Didn't you hear that he retired? There was a big fuss about it in one of the folders. I believe I read some place that the Estate Holder Council bought out his exclusive altering rights. So when he's done being mad at whoever offened him enough to quit altering for the normal world, he may show up again in Premie Land. Not that my info helps, I just like to keep you stirred up Coine. :)

This doesn't make me happy. Sure, Ethna redeems vouchers that aren't hers, but she -won't- work on metal armor or various other things Francke did. She also applies the redeemed voucher against your Estate Holder alteration limit...so you can't even -try- to get another alteration done in the Sea Caves for -any- of your characters for another 3 months.
No offense intended to Ethna, she's a good alterer and has done some very nice work for me in the past, but Francke was able and willing to work with things she won't touch.
I have two characters with Francke cards. Any chance another non-premie alterer will step forward to start redeeming these things? Or maybe if Francke can come back, that would be even better. He was a very nice guy, and fun to RP with. I don't know who offended him, but I'd love to thump the person(s) who did.

I think you are right. I remember the big fuss about Snidley retiring, but I didn't hear about Francke doing so.

Just as a reminder, it was Snidley who supposedly retired so suddenly a couple of months ago, not Francke. Yet according to Auctioneer Cesiro, Snidley is still altering, but only in partnership with Cesiro and his auctions.
I too have a Francke consultation card I've been hanging on to for a little while, but I haven't stressed out about it since I haven't had much time to devote to DR lately. I honestly underestimated the work that goes into a RL wedding! I just hope that when he does return to redeem those vouchers, I'll have enough notice to conjure up something worthy of his time.

Francke recently held a contest for an assistant/apprentice (it's results are unannounced as of yet), but I hope this means we'll be seeing him around soon enough!

Some years ago, there was a fashion-related contest. Francke was apprently writing a book on fashion, and was requesting contributions. Several people were chosen as winners. I was wondering if this book was ever released, and if not, does anyone remember what I'm talking about? The winners already got their prizes in a nice reception held at Ulf'Hara Keep, but I have just been curious to see the book for a long while.
