does anyone know if item hiders that hide 'pouches and packs' work specifically only on items named pouch or pack, or do they work on other containers too? thanks!

There are some that are just backpack hiders, but those which are labeled as being "all pouches and packs" will generally hide any container you have on your person.

Including containers you might not think of, like pants. Fortunately, you can use 'show pants always' to make them appear again.
