Are the crystals intended to work just as they do now, after Hollow Eve or will they change after that?
They're working as they're meant to work right now and won't change, not counting any tweaks to experience gain rates. This is just a preview before wide release as a consolation prize for the losers of the token auction, and the ones after Hollow Eve will function exactly the same.
