And how's this for a name you haven't heard in a while, Ryeka: Alemaster Durah?

Perhaps we'll run into each other somewhere again. I seem to be off back-training defenses dsin.....Peccaries. But so be it.

Unrelatedly and more to this thread's point, it seems forging has changed long with most other things and it will be a long while, at best, until I know what the curseword I'm doing again. What would it cost me and would any of you have one available, to bang up something in the following ranges:
ME: Better than as follows
p/vh/l f/r
HE: Better than or equal to as follows
l/g/f f/r
43 or under stones.
I'm not sure what rare metals do and I'm not sure I care at this exact moment, but I'd like some decent upgrades if they're reasonably available. I'm using a l/h/f f/decent broad and a p/h/l f/r scim of my own make....quite a long time back.
Let me use a dummy email acct for now: abclookatme42@yahoo.com

FYI, Most players have moved away from those first-initial appraisals, as the appraisal scales have been expanded, and it is harder to remember what the initials stand for (and then convert them to a numerical scale).
Some information that may help you shop:
My item stat spreadsheet (sortable appraisals for weapons, shields, armor, containers, and cambrinth): http://www.elanthia.org/Charts/
Etherian's searchable Plaza Shop Browser (inventory of player-owned shops): http://drservice.info/Plaza/
Comparison of small edged templates: https://elanthipedia.play.net/Small_edged_weapons_(crafted)
You can click the link for a template to see appraisals at different hardness levels. 90 harness is high-carbon steel (the standard entry-level forging material). 95 harness is tier-5 rare metals like kertig (heavy), glaes (light), and haralun (heavy). 99 harness is tier-6 (tyrium).

If you also just want to see a wide variety of weapons at different weights, I find Squanto to be more useful.
https://elanthipedia.play.net/Squanto%27s_rare_metal_weapons
Doing individual searches is great if you know what noun you're looking for.
I will say that weapon learning is mostly dependent on swing speed, right now. You'll learn a bit better hitting things faster, with lower damage stats. So the impetus is really to get the minimum RT for your weapon template, then start increasing weight/metal/stats as you go.
A lot rare metal weapons will be quite expensive, so high carbon steel is really good. As is what people have termed 'orasteel'.

If you're using a Front End that doesn't have numerical substitutions for appraisal Etherian's drservice.info site has a really handy numberify application to convert appraisals to the numerical values:
http://drservice.info/static/numberify.htm
You just copy/paste your appraisal in and it translates the appraisal to numbers to make it easier for you to compare.
