I could really use a hand with this one, it's driving me nuts. I've searched in Theren, El Bain's and Rossman's with no luck.
This is what I get when studying inside Theren.
The map has a large 'X' marked in the middle of it. Near the marking, you can see several dotted lines forming a square. Contour lines drawn along the map indicate that the destination is located above sea level, and a simple sketch of several buildings surrounds the 'X'. Straight lines have been drawn from the center, pointing southeast and southwest. From other markings on the map, you guess that the destination is somewhere nearby. Judging by your surrounding environment, you will find the treasure in this province.
Any ideas? Thanks!
I looked through the maps and only found three rooms with the right exit setup. Have you checked each of these?
There's one near El'Bains on the way to the Gorbesh fortress.
There's one south of El'Bains just before Lang (not sure if this is the right zone).
There's one in Theren north of the village chapel.

There's also a couple on the mistwood road on the way to the rope, but those are less likely given the environmental requirement.

The zone map is fuzzy around the edges of Ranik's maps, since those map's layouts were never structured around zone boundaries. The map list on the zone map approximates this by just placing maps according to the zone where most of their rooms are located, or in two zones if it's about equal. Even if those rooms are in the same zone I don't think it's the correct area anyway, but as you say it doesn't hurt to check especially since it's right there.
