Yeah that is pretty true...A year or two? they did do an update that made critters a lot more likely to spawn in an occupied room that helped, but it's not dynamic enough to handle certain situations that occur often.

Tinkering with spwaning mechanics is a lost art I tell ya! I worked closely with the developer of Siren's Call to hone its mechanics, and hope to incorporate some aspect of them into the barbarian guild. The spawn mechanics are really touchy... so my plans are waiting a bit until we have finished evaluating how the enchante performs.
