Thank you for all the hard work and fun you have instilled - not just in this guild, but in the game as a whole. It's been an honor watching you grow as a person throughout this whole time.
I know you are trying to be humble, but there's no need to apologize. If you can tell yourself that you put in the best effort that you could, then that is all there is to it. Life happens (including the changes that go with it) and by all means, I would wish you the best no matter what. Knowing you, I feel that you would do well at whatever task is in front of you due to your passion at the task you're focused on, your persistence, and your creativity.
You mentioned you did not want to rush sub-par work and would feel terrible about doing so or not being able to offer things that were asked. My recommendation is: Don't sweat the small stuff. The game will always be changing because that's the very nature of an open-ended game. Therefore, we as players will adjust to it because those are the expectations of an open-ended game.
You log off and you log back on. The game is still around. It sounds like you feel high expectations in your mind of what you want to offer to Elanthia and this guild - everyone can appreciate that! I know you want to provide the best service possible that you can offer, but you need to understand - you ARE doing that! Whether it is every three months or three days.
To sum up: I wish you the best in whatever decision you make and thank you for all your hard work in making this guild and Elanthia better then it was before.

Thank you so much for all you have brought to the game over the years. All of your hard work and time, creativity etc are greatly appreciated. I am not sure anyone will ever be able to replace you in the minds of some of the players. If you have to leave, we wish you well and the best of luck in all your endeavors.
I am really going to miss you as an NPC. I have never seriously played a Barbarian much. From my interactions and the things I have heard you were one of the best GameMasters, though. I did not really know you as a player, I would have liked to.

I am sure I speak for most of us that play barbs when I say you will truly be missed.
I wish you all the best in what it is you are pursuing and I'd like to echo what Simon has said. Thank you for all your hard work in making this guild and Elanthia better then it was before.

Doogles,
You're one of my oldest DR friends. You'll be sorely missed on many, many fronts. Make sure and stay in touch via IM, and best of luck with your plans, bud.

I saw the Hitchhiker's Guide reference and was amused for a moment, then realized what it probably meant. It's never fun seeing these posts, but sadly they sometimes have to be made. Take care, man, and good luck to you.
I find it odd that you can be surrounded by both a mantle of flame and blades of ice.
Shush, it's magic.. suspend your disbelief

I saw the reference and knew what it meant too. First thing I thought was, "Oops. Lost another one." Thats nothing new so I didn't think much about it until I actualy looked at WHICH GM was leaving this time, and I got seriously bummed.
But! As its been said, life changes and one has to be able to roll with it. We all understand that. And I wish you the best of luck. Its GMs like you that make this game a blast to play, and made being a Barbarian something awesome. Things won't be the same without you and you're gonna be missed.
