Just out of curiousity because I've seen it a few times, if thrown isn't allowed in the pits, than why is throwing dirt allowed? I don't have a real problem with it because I suppose it could be considered brawling. I'm just curious to know if it is intended or not.

Heh, good question, I know I used it myself in the pits a few nights ago in plat. Granted it was from my left hand. But I was still able to. Dirt in left hand, throw left. It missed, but it still worked.
