Your weapons are fine. However, my evasion/shield/multi/armors are all up to snuff with my weapons.
I would personally suggest making this a reality before you attempt to move upwards. The longer you wait the harder it gets. Best to train shield now, though, when you're in deficit of 100 ranks, rather then waiting until it's 300 ranks and beyond hopeless. Don't settle for never having shield. Go back and train it. Back-train some new weapons while you do, get some shiny TDPs.
I'd recommend using a ranged weapon too, instead of two melees. Something else to train. Trust me, I feel your pain. I was ME/HE primary forever, and then I had to back-train about 110 ranks to switch to 2HE/HT/Comp bow primaries (each). It takes commitment, but it's worthwhile.

Yeah and when your shield catches up to your multi you can get that up to your weapons. Not sure how long you've been gone but Multi is a must now. I made that mistake with Strange by not training it much along time ago and it hurts now, big time.

yeah i mean when i was a young barb shield was just a burden but there have been so many changes since that to the way shields are being used especially with the arm-worn ones and i use SB as my tertiary weapon close to 65 in it ME after that at about 60 LE at 40 also training HB MB and LB at 30+ each just got a new DSX that i'm gonna start working on i've heard some nice things about shields and HX that i like so far not to mention my DSX is one of the best hitting HX in the realms...however back to needing advice what would work the best for training my shield and MO i'm usually around Theren/Haven area preferably around there if not Ratha would be nice too for the sumple fact that i could also train my picking and disarm with sand sprites... what would be the best places to get my defenses up to par with my weapon ability... as far as hinderance goes with 36 strength and 30 stamina will that be a problem?

I can't remember what your shield ranks are but you can squeeze some more MO outa Blood Wolves and when you're done there shoot over to Vines/Creepers. You might even be able to quickly lock your shield in Blood Wolves without getting torn up too much although you might have to stance down evasion

Or just head straight to vines and creepers. Watch out for the marauders until you get good enough weapons to kill em quick.

Yep, gotta love those vines and creepers. Lucky for me, I have nuff skill with my scimitar to take the marauders down pretty quick. Pretty much learned all the shield I could from them, but I started training other armor, plus the multiple opponent, parry and evasion is nice too.
