Cyclics that have an AOE component to them will interrupt app focus.

Sanctuary is room-based, not AoE. The distinction doesn't matter most of the time, but there is a mechanical difference. I.e. AoE affects multiple creatures and/or players at the same time, while room-based changes the room settings in some way.
