So this happened a few times when I tried to cast Alb, all when I was prepping at cap:
Your attempt to weave so many different types of matrices together collapses and dissipates without warning.
I checked that I wasn't using a symbiosis, not that it should have mattered, since Alb is pure debil.
Then I tried casting it at min, and that worked. And then I was able to cast it again at max. Kodius mentioned there might be combat oddities from his Shaping rollout, but would that cause this?

I'm now seeing the same thing. Cast, cast area, and cast creatures all fail when I had the strengthen symbiosis on.
Now I have absolutely no problem with allowing some cyclics to work with symbiosis.

I didn't mean to sound contradictory (although I see how it read like I did). I'm just pointing out that it's a debil/util hybrid.
You're right that this shouldn't matter with symbiosis (not that there's anything wrong with a symbiosis cyclic - nudge nudge).
