After waking up, reading the boards, then crawling back into bed for another two hours, I figured that I may as well respond although I don't believe one should ever be forced to explain their roleplaying choices.
<<- She's an "event-chaser". Apparently, when the recent events were more centered on Haven (like when it was still just figure sightings), she was planning on moving (buying a house?) in Haven to "be closer to the center of things" (From a source I trust fully)
As for this, its true that I originally thought "Wonder if they need help up north" when the figures began to be seen. However, as a player I was also looking for reasons to get Aisyn out of Crossing because of advice to get out and meet more people. A good friend who is also a bard suggested the north because it is where usually spend most of their time so the figure sightings gave me an excuse as a player to bring my character up there. Little did I know that I'd actually enjoy the city. The current events have little to do with where I plan to buy a house--only that its in the north, a city with people that Aisyn happens to enjoy, and there are friends nearby (not to mention the fact that there are more houses available for sale there than in Crossing).
<<- She drags her mule Empath around and does little/nothing to hide the fact that it's her behind both characters.
If anyone ever bothered to ask either characters their histories one would realize that they are indeed two separate people with two separate personalities. Because of Aisyn's past she acts like a child at times, she is sometimes spoiled, she is definately high strung, has a temper, and devotes herself to certain things with a child's tenacity with no other reason than its what feels right. Aisyn is an elf that was treated like a child for so long that her mind has difficulty catching up at times when she's suddenly thrust into situations that call for her to act like an adult.
As for the empath, she is Aisyn's cousin through adoption and best friend, besides. It is her calming influence that keeps Aisyn's temper in check most of the time and so she travels with her. If one watches closely they can see that its the empath that whispers to Aisyn or does little things that remind her of how she should be reacting. She's also been involved with the current event since a figure has spoken to her by name and she's been attacked by thugs when by herself. And was it not requested that an empath accompany the groups that branch off and attempt to "lure" the thugs or some such?
<<- She verbally attacked my character in Dirge simply because my character is involved with someone who is publicly sided with the Guild leaders.
<<- She (in the Dirge Attack), decided that it was NOT all right for my character to be sitting on the fence, and thus, decided for her, which side she was on, and then began attacking her anew. (Once again, verbally. Don't get confused.)
<<- She, basically, called my characters fiance a cold-blooded killer, who would sit around waiting for the figures to show up in order to kill them. (No offense to those of you who do that. Nothing wrong with that kind of RP, it would just be OOC for the fiance.)
Again, two roleplaying decisions that fit for Aisyn's character especially at time where bards were uncertain of who was supporting who. It makes sense (in her eyes at least) that if one person is adamant about supporting one side that someone as close to them as a fiancee would share that view, and thus warrants suspicion, especially when that person appears suddenly in Dirge after she'd heard from a trusted source while IG that he had been one waiting to attack and kill the figures. You and the fiance both said that what Aisyn had heard was incorrect and Aisyn already apologized and said she was sorry if she misinterpretted information or was given information that was false. Out of character I offer the same apology and state that Aisyn in this situation has only reacted to what she was given from someone she trusts and that if it was untrue, we both sincerely regret any discomfort it has caused.
<<- She has a herd of lackeys who follow her blindly around and start insulting my character when she's trying to make her opinion of Aisyn clear to Aisyn.
Heh, I just find that amusing cause I've never seen Aisyn with any lackeys. If anything, she's a lackey to her own passion and the few close friends she has. Never seen it be the other way around, unless you consider the few people that stick up for her as a friend lackeys...I'd hope not, cause then I'm a huge lackey OOC. :(
<<- She thinks she's important enough to warrant killing, despite my character telling her, several times, that "I'm no murderer". She also thinks that she, if killed, would become a martyr (she said it, not me) for 'the cause'.
Aisyn responded this way because she knew that people would refrain from killing her if she mentioned it would martyr her. She and I both know that she's not worth killing--she doesn't even have a large role in whats happening besides having scrolls and logs of conversations with the figures from the earlier stages of this event.
Anyways, feel free to respond and rant more if you'd like. As far as I'm concerned, I've explained my actions and roleplaying decisions. Email me or send a pigeon if you'd like to discuss this more. I'm always willing to discuss my character and any roleplaying advice as long as its in a civil context. Again, as a player, I apologize for any discomfort I as a player may have caused and hope that this can be settled peacefully.
Hope everyone else wakes up to better tidings and has a good day ahead of them.

>>I don't believe one should ever be forced to explain their roleplaying choices
Didn't say you should.
>>two roleplaying decisions that fit for Aisyn's character
That's fine. It's just those traits that make my characters skin crawl when Aisyn's in the room. (And tend to irritate me, the player, as well.)
>>said she was sorry if she misinterpretted information or was given information that was false
My main beef (not the characters) with it was that Aisyn said that the fiance TOLD her he was going to kill the figures if he saw them. From what he's told me, the only time the two of you spoke on the subject was in AIM. ::shrug::
My character, however, is incredibly pissed off. (Murder's a touchy subject with the two of them, so she knows for a FACT that what Aisyn said was impossible.) The fact that Aisyn was so adamant about what she 'knew' only made it worse. ::shrugs again::
>>hope that this can be settled peacefully
Well I'm not going to go and attack Aisyn for being irritating (To me and the character. Everyone else, feel free to like her if you want to. I'm just not going to.)

>>Gad's post
Ok. I sincerely hope you are joking, but in the event that you're not... There are some responses below.
>>1. No such thing as event chasers. We need more people involved in IG events. More power to you all.
There IS such thing. They're the kind of people who move halfway (or all the way) across Elanthia to take part in something the character has no reason to.
>>2. Mule empaths are delightful.
Too ridiculous to respond to properly.
>>3. Did you steal her man or something Aisyn? That post was dripping with jealousy.
HAH. Yeah. Right. Point out, precisly, if you will, where you see jealousy in my post.

I just thought I would toss a little note in here... there may be event chasers, but in this event I don't really think there are. This event has been taking place in Shard, Crossing, Haven, Ratha, Langenfirth, suffice it to say pretty much everywhere. Its hard to travel at all without running into it, so how can you "chase" it? Now if these figures suddenly show up in Haven and a resident of Mer'Kresh were to come arunnin', that might be different, but they wouldn't get there in time anyways, heehee. So yeah, anyways... these events are made for everyone, not just whoever happens to be in the area, so if someone wants to be involved and they have a gweth or know people with gweths to hear about it, then props to them for enjoying themselves. :) Okay, I'm done, back to the beer!!!!

By the way, anyone that refers to me as one of "Aisyn's lackeys" will get a bolt to the head of their character in game <g> (I'm kidding of course! Maybe.)
Heck, I'm the one who has gotten her killed quite a bit in the last week, you should be buying me rounds! (I'm not kidding...buy me rounds!)
That is all.
Thanks to Nimeesha for acknowledging the boozehound, I feel all warm and fuzzy now, I think I need an ale.

Me too. And I'm not kidding. Bolt will be followed by a shield or two, also. And if that doesn't work, I've plenty of boxes to kill us all, muwahhaaahaaaa.

eesh...i go out to talk to people not realizing they're already a bit on edge, my usual attitude towards everything rubs 'em slightly the wrong way, and i'm gettin pointed at for insighting riots? granted, once i'd been insulted once or twice, i did return fire, but anything before that was purely unintentional (i'm not going to point out exactly when in the conversation, so don't ask)

See ya'll need to have more conflicts in here like Aisyn's lackey is starting.
