I was going to ask for your email and email this to you, but you ran away before I could ask you for it.
It is shown clearly in my log IMO, that my song will not sing during yours. You had to stop singing for me to start. Which you did, and for some reason couldnt see/wouldn't admit when you scrolled up. I assumed the only way for you to stop singing at that point was if you were out of mana, because my song would not even try while you were singing. So when you stopped I assumed you were out of mana, and it wouldnt hurt for me to sing while you regen mana. So I do and you call me rude. I assumed and I guess I shouldnt have.
I have copied the log and I would like to email it to you so you can see what I saw... I was not being rude I thought I was doing something that would not cause you any problem. In the future I will just ask first. I have screwed up what other people were trying to do before accidentally, which we resolved quickly, but your the first to call me rude right off the bat instead of explaining game mechanics to me in a whisper like everyone else has done.

Probably a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Some people are overly sensitive about everything. Its one thing to make a mistake, its another things to immediatly resort to name calling when you have a problem with someone.
His song could have stopped, and the script that he was running might not have started it up before you started yours.
Did you try joining him with the same song? (i'm not sure how this works since I haven't seen any other bards in TF)

Joining in, sing with <name> or chant with <name> whatever, is kinda difficult. ::shrugs:: I figure the burden to do so is on whomever is not playing at the time, although it would be "rude" for a bard to sit there and consistently screw up another's enchante on purpose but meh, move.

I didnt even know he was there, and started trying to sing Faenella grace. It gave me the usual "listening to the songs already being sung you cannot mesh yours with them," or whatever. Next thing I know it says something to the effect of Hodierna's lilt stopping meaning someone else stopped singing Hodierna's Lilt. Now I have tried to sing while others were before and it has never caused them to stop, so I figured he ran out of mana.
I think I musta done something wrong because I am the new one not him-but I cant figure out what I did. Instead of trying to explain to me what caused this time to be different from the other dozens of times, he just basically kept saying I'm right your wrong <Smile>, then goodbye.
I have been a bard hmm 4 or 5 days
I post this not just to let him know, but also to learn anything else that might cause other bards problems. Some bards script a long time and if I screwed up their song it would not be good, I dont want that to happen again while at the same time I want to be able to sing magic songs every chance I can.

My experience with the new enchantes (limited be it may) is that if you have more mana being pumped into your song (ie. you have Mana Song 10 and he has Mana Song 2) you'll eventually kill their enchante.
That's just what I've experienced anyway.

The new enchante system is rough on young bards to mesh magics. You really can't. I'd say, just leave, and go work your music and magic somewhere else, where you dont have to compete for the use of a song. It'll take awhile, but you will be able to mesh with others. Just work them skills!

You're better off somewhere else anyways. Honestly it wouldn't have hurt him any to help you. He decided to be a jerk, even if you did something wrong, he was in the wrong in the end. Try making some friends outside the guild, that way you will beable to play any enchante you want, the majority of the time.

The moral of the story is no one should ever join the bitter, spiteful guild of entertainers. Or the moon mages, cause we're bad enough already. Everyone go be war mages, lets take it back to beta with 2/3 of the people around being of the real elemental persuasion.

Well, it's happened to me on a few occasions too. We at least have the option to be able to join other bards. Based on our skill.
He's not there yet.
It is rough on all of us, but, I'd think, it's perhaps a bit more frustrating and taxing on our younger members. they dont have the options we've grown into.

Well the system is easy to work around, but bards fighting over who sings is dumb. This does not happen much tho, because younger bards let the older ones sing w/o complaint. This situation I thought the older bard was out of mana and thought I was doing nothing wrong, but he was not. Anyway the system does not make things terribly difficult for me...I still learn Magic and Vocals pretty easily
