I believe that your mojo pool will regen passively, even without playing instruments, so depending on how quickly you're firing off the screams it may be possible that it's refreshing itself fully between uses.

I'm certain that they do drain mojo though, as I routinely tank my mojo pool completely while firing off multiple screams in rapid succession during PvP conflicts.
