Spells |
>Targeted |
- Multi-shot vs. living, HH upgrade |
- DoT spells & held mana AoE/single target TM spells. Think old Soul Attrition or planned Winds of Asketi. |
- Autonomous attack spell like Starlight Sphere or Ball Lightning that summons mythological creatures (not avatars -- magma vipers, banshees, fae, etc.) |
- Lethal spiritual combat. (Chill Spirit, Soul Attrition, etc.) |
- EF-type spell that takes target's spirit and turns it into vitality/mana/fatigue/concentration. |
- TM spells that do cold/slice/electrical damage. |
>Disablers |
- More SvSp disablers, including AoE one. |
- Metamagic spell to work with the curses. (Turn them into area of effect, auto-triggering when something moves into engagement range etc.) |
- Mass dispel/single target cast of Meraud's Cry if that's not feasible. Should be able to be self-cast as well. |
- Nerve/scar damager. Perhaps a curse that increases nerve damage from harnessing. |
- Curse to drain harnessed mana & prevent caster from harnessing mana. |
- Disarming curse to drop held items and prevent holding stuff for duration of the curse. Could be added to CoZ by working in function with above metamagic curse enhancer. |
- Stat debuff that focuses on spirit/magic stats. |
>Miscellaneous |
- Clerical Sorcery. (Summoning spirits/god-approved undead, tearing spiritual energy from different parts of the Spiritual Plane for appropriate effects, etc.) |
- A general magic barrier spell along the lines of Shear, SoD, ES, SP. Either one takes incoming spell power and adds it to Cleric's attunement or refreshes Cleric's spirit or one that turns spell back around on caster using Cleric's stats/skills. |
- Utility summoning spells. (Passive OM refill, lower OM/devotion drain, commune without ritual components, boost devotion gain from rituals, etc.) |
- Spirit Walk. (Vigil prereq, scrying spell for Vigil links, slow additional spirit drain) |
- Anlaesmir. (Old planned spell, basically Shear for nonmagical attacks) |
- Undead gen booster. (Themed along forcing undead out into the open as they flee holy energy emanating from Cleric.) |
- TM bless that allows non-Holy spells to act as Holy against undead. For Holy casters it boosts their TM skill. |
- Spell to swap target's attunement with caster's. Think Vigil for Harness. |
- Room mana raiser that allows combat. (like Glyph of Mana/Compost/Ethereal Fissure/Raise Power) |
- PP & AR boosters. |
- SvSp stat boosters. (Wisdom/Discipline/Charisma) |
- Teaching booster. |
- Weapon enhancing/creating spell. Possibly summon versions of Ushnish's and Firulf's staves, Harawep's twin swords, etc. |
- Unleash type spell. |
- Spell with DB-style trigger, focusing on one of the guild specialties (Metamagic, Harness, Spirit, Undead). |
Infusion |
- Infusion that acts as if you are harnessing less mana than you actually are. |
- Infusion that reduces the minimum prep of spells. |
- Infusion to only use certain amount of held mana when casting, never going above a spell's cap. So if you're holding 60 mana and cast a spell that caps at 50 you're left holding 10 mana. You could also specify CAST SPELL 40 and be left with 20. |
- Infusion that regards your harness as always at base level for regeneration calculations. As I understand it it's tougher to regenerate mana at the lower ends of attunement than it is at the higher, so this would let you stay at a constant recovery rate no matter how low your attunement goes. |
- Infusion to avoid the concentration/fatigue hit when casting PoM or spells in general. |
- Infusion to reduce harnessing roundtime/prep time. |
- Infuse a room to raise room mana. |
- Infusion to tap specific amounts of mana from people harnessing for you instead of all of it. |
- Infusion that "infuses" TM spells with a piece of the Cleric's spirit. It would just be a spirit hit that adds cold damage to the spell and not be an actual lethal vs. spirit spell. |
- Infusion that increases to-hit/damage of TM. Not sure if this should be undead/cursed only. |
- Know exactly how much mana leaks from a spell pattern |
- Ability to "mana tap" specific amount of mana from people harnessing for you instead of all of it and the ability to "reserve" mana. |
- Metamagic infusion that modifies casting higher level spells to also cast certain prereq spells at the same time. Will use the mana a cleric has harnessed; if he hasn't harnessed enough for all of them it will only cast the spells in ascending order up until the mana's exhausted. I.e. casting a capped MaPP will also cast PFE & MPP at the same time; if there isn't enough mana PFE will be cast up to the cap with the remainder going to MPP. |
- Infusion to make instant disablers (PS, Sick, etc., not curses) AoE when cast. |
Communes and Rituals |
- The overall feel of communes should be more along the lines of calling the gods' attention to the Cleric rather than abstract nimbi etc. |
- Urrem'tier Commune that adds poison (a version of Urrem'tier's Blood) to attacks for a short number of strikes. Should be learned after the Rezz quest has been completed. Use mobar blood as the ritual component. |
- Faenella's Commune causes successfully parried/blocked attacks to burn undead (also causes skin burns when Cleric touches the undead). |
- Concentration, Fatigue, Vitality boosting communes. |
- Pacts/Boons. (calling on dark/light gods for powers) |
- Brands. (offensive communes of the dark gods) |
- Sacrifice creature before skin/loot in exchange for devotion. |
- Give Clerics the option of accepting a favor orb or not after making a sacrifice. I.e. if the Cleric doesn't pick up the favor orb when it appears have it grant some devotion when it disappears. |
- Cut palm with blessed weapon and touch dark god altar for devotion. |
- Remove devotion tanking for killing on holy ground. |
- Sacrifice special attack. Need to use a ritually prepared weapon. If the attack lands the killing blow it grants devotion & takes the deceased's remaining vitality or spirit (depending on the sacrifice attack used) for later use by the Cleric, a la AO with the weapon in place of the orb. |
Cleric Perceive |
- Perceive altar to determine which god it's dedicated to and what sacrifices it will take. Minor scholarship/theosophy for this, similar to recall. |
- Perceive <person> should show both their spirit health and their last favor god. |
- Perceive <undead> should tell whether it's cursed, corporeal or incorporeal. |
