I've long since forgotten what its original form was intended to be.

But seeing as I feel clerics need a leech-spirit-health-thing like chill spirit although that had a huge set of problems. I suggest a revision to aldauth's scythe.

Aldauth's Scythe
Pre-req: Elyhaar's Feast
Much like how Elyhaar's Feast turns spiritual energy into other forms, Aldauth's Scythe does the reverse. It forms a spectral scythe which will attack a targets vitality direction and redirect the loss into spiritual energy for the caster.

I.E. TM spell that attacks vitality directly, the damage done feedsback in the form of spirit refilling your spirit pool.

This allows a cleric to refill their spirit on mobs and use it for abilities (ef, ae, and Meraud's cry if that ever comes out)

It also circumvents the problem Chill Spirit had since it did damage to peoples spirits causing 5 minute depart times since they will die of a vit death instead.

Alternatively it can cause damage all the same and just cause a damage -> spirit loop.

I like the basic concept. My caveats are only that I wouldn't want EF to be the pre-requisite- depending on the tier it was supposed to be, I would suggest Vigil or AE. Secondly, I would want the vitality/spirit drain to be a secondary effect- the spell should do enough damage to stand on its own without the secondary effect.

Or leave it as the primary affect, and be able to choose, ala EF, whether to syphon off the opponents vitality and have the caster gain either spirit or vitality.
