Please explain what you are arguing for, and against.
I have no idea what your point in posting anything is, other than to combat all comers.
Your comments about rezz are disproven both by GMs and players, and you seem to wish to continue using points which are, at best, disingenuous.
So please explain to me what you're wishing was different, and why.

First off nothing I said was disproven by anyone. Reene had mad a comment in a post that resurrection or departing without favors didn't ever cause experience loss to her knowledge. It most certainly did many years ago and no one rebutted that comment.
Next Reene said that there's still a heavy penalty for departing without favors. Compared to the original mechanics of death, the current penalties are a joke. Once again nothing was disproven.
Next I asked why alley thugs can walk and people can't. I got an explanation, and absolutely nothing was disproven there either. While I may find it odd, it's obvious the reason was to prevent characters from being randomly erased for not getting favors. However, when I was given the response of the immortals liking some things over others, I asked a very reasonable question as to why they'd grant solace to people who perpetually ignore them by not getting favors over the alley thugs. Dart however came up with a comical response to my inquiry, and I applaud him for it. I don't see what you're so upset about, or can't figure out.

I was not speaking relatively when I was speaking of death penalties, FYI.
I still do not remember death ever causing unavoidable experience loss, but then I've only been playing since around like '99.
Rev. Reene
You hear your mental voice echo, Axiarra, are you still around? We had um... an incident on the third floor.
Your mind hears Vermire thinking, "The screaming, angry souls of the damned count as an "incident?""

The gods are jerks. No, really.
The Immortals act in ways that are sometimes contrary to what the person standing in the Plane of Abiding would consider moral. Or rational. Or sane. That's because they're gods; they do not hold the same values we do and they have a vastly superior understanding of the universe and the repercussions of their actions.
Why do good men die, bad men live, and disease take them all? Because the gods, in their wisdom or their divine madness, think what they're doing now is better than the alternative. You're welcome to disagree with them, but their opinions carry a lot of weight.

You need to read Karl Popper.
Also, you need to be murdered regularly.

the only time it did was during the time magic was "turned off" during the magic 2.0 event with the heralds, <sometime in 2002 i believe?>, and rejuvenation was not possible.
The undead hordes would like to take this moment to remind you that they are quite happy to eat your brains so that you may test new depart. Please consider it.Hugs and kisses, Team Necro.

thats a question for the theologeans and the philosophers to debate, and the necromancers to try to overcome.

What's up for debate? They all die. Even the diseases.

>>So you tucked away this no longer rezzing favorless in some obscure post instead of maybe... you know... a major announcement? Not everyone plays a cleric and reads their spell reviews, maybe you should tell people in a MAJOR way when you change something that huge... You know a system thats been in the game since the beginning OF the game... when you take that out it might be a big deal... last night there were 4 clerics trying to raise me favorless because all of them thought it was still possible...
>>Thanks for hiding this major announcement in a guild forums not everyone will read... well done!
>>Barkar
I'm not a cleric. This is my first time in the cleric folder. I knew about the 0 favor resurrection thing when I first logged in. Was this news posted after your death? Plus... I think its kinda funny. Your death turned into a mini-event. Not really a bad thing.
Dateline 7/24/2009: RESURRECTION UPDATES
Greetings.
In light of the removal of perma-death from DragonRealms, it is no longer possible to resurrect players who are favorless. As such, it's more important than ever to seek favor with your god or goddess to protect yourself in the case of death.
The Fallen will receive this update when the new DEPART mechanics are released there.
END NEWS ITEM
[01:45] You matter-of-factly say, "I can't wait til I can wear the grand master moon mage title."
[01:45] Crounchmeyer darkly says, "My foraging is as bad as my pocket foraging."
[01:46] You matter-of-factly ask, "Pocket foraging?"

Cute verbs and speaking from hiding are excellent ways to catch a lightning bolt in the face regardless of mystical ninja abilities.

It's a pretty major change to the spell and something that should have been posted on the main page to begin with IMO.

Don't be favorless (This isn't new).
If you ARE favoreless you hafta depart, but won't walk or anything, or lose exp or... really anything other then get a time out of crummy stats that the clerics can then remove with uncurse.
*twirls finger*.
Heck the change to rez to allow you to rez with more major wounds and a brief stop to bleeding is more important then this change IMHO.

Are you arguing it just to argue? Unless they read the forums though they didn't know, it's something that was always an option then suddenly went away. It should have been announced. I don't disagree with the change it just should have been made public knowledge.
