There is nothing like a good head-fake with the wrong directional for 'helping' create room to advance 1 car length in Mass pike traffic.

Some people are catching onto my tactics.

Now see, you were lucky enough first of all, to be on a highway that had lines designated as a 4 lane highway. In some parts of Mass and Rhode Island, they don't put any lines on the roads to show the lanes, but its a four lane highway so stay on your side.

I'm still adjusting to down here in Florida, where the red and green lights actually stay lit longer, the off ramps are long enough to give you ample time to come in, and there are U-turns everywhere.

We are trying to hurry up so we don't get hit by a hurricane or Blizzard, or someone doesn't take our parking spot, or we need to get to work but need to head to the DD first for coffee...you get the idea. Thats why I miss it up there so much.

AHAHA, I use to do that going into 95 north into Providence, I'd try to fake someone into another lane and then skip ahead.

After living there for oh 19 years...I was pretty much brought up on the tactics..and Mass drivers are worse then RI drivers any day, if we actually see eachother on the roads this is what is said in each car at the same time.
"Stupid <beep> Mass drivers..", "Stupid <Beep> RI drivers.."

To be fair, if we could actually get away from the bumper to bumper parking on our freeways, CA drivers would show you what it is to drive fast.

Just as long as those semi trucks stay put fixed in the right lane with their 55 mph limit! ::mutters something about being stuck behind a big rig going 57 mph that's trying to pass a line of semis going 54 mph::

Thats my biggest difference comming down here. Down here in Florida you get MORE THEN ENOUGH room to merge into a lane, in Providence we had about 3 seconds to merge or you were in an accident.

I suppose things can't stay the same forever. I'm just glad that the one time out of a hundred when we went to Magic Kingdom that 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea was open and running. That ride was a little boring, but I'm glad I got to ride on it before they replaced it. There's a few others that have gone on..Dreamflight for one. I miss that one, although the new Buzz Lightyear is a hilarious ride. I think I have more fun on it than the little kids do. It's always fun when you hold the rotating joystick to one side so that the car spins round, and a-round, and a-round, and a-round...lol
