I have 435 Empathy, and can Manipulate two first tier gryphons just fine, but only one second tier gryphon.

Here are my stats:

Strength : 34 Reflex : 50
Agility : 31 Charisma : 30
Discipline : 41 Wisdom : 41
Intelligence : 41 Stamina : 40

Casting GoL, MeF, and Tranq doesn't let met Manipulate a second middle tier gryphons, so I'm wondering what's involved in the check? EPedia says Empathy, obviously, but also Intelligence and Charisma? Should I pump Charisma (That would kind of suck, being involved only in Compel and Innocence)?

It's just Empathy and Charisma, but Empathy is the most important.
