Somethin' buggy with gangrene? on 01/18/2003 11:19 AM CST
Your body feels at full strength.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You feel a tingling sensation within as Lennede struggles to take the gangrene from you.
You scratch your head.
No messaging that I have the gangrene...But the "You have no significant injuries" line is missing...But obviously have it, cos she taking it. This intended?

Not sure if the lack of messaging is intentional or not, but I've hit that too. What I did discover is even though you can't see dormant infections via HEALTH, if you look at yourself, you can see that you have a dormant infection. Not quite sure why you can see it one way and not the other, so here's hoping it's just a messaging error in Health.

there are sometimes things that trained professional healer can see that others cannot. this is true in this game as well as in the world as we know it.

Fair enough...But like someone said, you can see it looking at yourself, and it also fails to show the "You have no significant injuries" messaging...So it's inconsistant in either way. I don't personally mind having it rough...If they wanna make it so only empaths can tell, dat's fine and dandy by me....But the way it is, anyone can tell...It just has messaging that disagrees with itsself.

This also happens with blood worms and black leeches (although not with the red leeches that I have seen). Sometimes you see them on you via health, othertime with 'health' you see the scuff, you see the vit/fatigue loss, you know they are there but you only see them when you look at yourself. I have always chalked it up to your peception skill vs. your 'intuitive health'...in that you might not feel the leech on you (health) but if you have enough perception, when you glance at yourself, your trained eyes pick up something that shouldn't be there...
On that note, I have also been surprised that we don't learn perception from tending off the blood creatures too...;P
