A young dust covered ranger enters the room and looks around, apparently not finding what he is looking for a small sigh escapes from him. Seeing the dismay on his face a young empath rushes over"are you hurt fair ranger?" she asks. "Not at this time but I thank you for your concern, I was simply looking for someone I need to express my thanks to." Well, if you wish I can jot down a small note, I am sure it will reach the proper person." "That would be great" he replies, smiling broadly. Quickly he begins to recite as the young empath writes down his words.

Kilaana,
It was my great fortune to meet you on the barge to Muspari, I had decided to go to the sandpits to try my luck with the leeches. I had a sinking feeling that I had bitten off more than I could chew, so imagine my suprise when you offered to take me there. Now being a young ranger of a mere 15 circles, in a sandpit full of leeches is really not a good thing, and I would like to thank you for saving my life multiple times:)
Someday I would like to return to the pits to try again, maybe I shall see you there and you can save me again:) but also I would like to repay you, whether in coin or some task (making potions and salves, or bringing up a backpack full of goblin or ogre boxes for you). Please let me know if I can do anything, In closing let me say it was a pleasure to have your company and I thank you again for saving my life.
sincerely,
Kryllok-Elven ranger

Smiling broadly the young empath says "I am sure this shall reach her ears." The ranger smiles and replies, "I thank you for taking the time to write that down for me." Then with a graceful bow he quickly and quietly slips from the room.

When a knock comes to her door, Kilaani rises from where she was reading a book to answer it. She finds a young messenger, breathless after a long journey, who has a message to deliver. After reading through the note, Kilaana smiles and blushes a bit at the lavish thanks. She asks the messenger to sit and rest with a drink while she composes a reply.

Sitting down at the table she gathers a quill and a parchment and writes:

Dear Ranger Kyllok,

Thank you so much for your note. I was concerned for your safety, and felt it might be better to guide you and make sure you were not wandering the sandpits, lost. You know what they say about rangers! You sensed my worry, I am sure, but I did not want to try and dissuade you from your decision to try out the leeches.

I doubt you will find me in the sandpits, I rarely travel there. But, if you happen to wander by Shard some day, that fair city is where I make my home. As far as your note goes, certainly no repayment is needed, I was glad to be able to help!

I am happy to find that you left Muspar'i safely.

Be well on all your paths,

Kilaana
Sympath of Shard

After rolling up the parchment, she hands it to a messenger with a bit of coin for delivery and watches him as he jogs away tucking the scroll in his message pouch for safe keeping.

Scanning through her mail, Villya sees two letters together and opens them up. With a quick flip of her wrist, she takes out her reading glasses and begins to read. After a few moments, she looks up a little perplexed. Carefully taking out her stylus, she licks the tip and dips it swiftly into her quill. She then careful takes out a nice piece of vellum and begins to compose.

Dear Ranger Kyllok and Kilaana Sympath of Shard,

Why is your mail coming to my house? I find it rather odd to be getting your letters of thanks in my mailslot. I think someone messed up. Anyways, tell your carriers next time my house isn't the General Mail dropoff of Elanthia. Anyways, I hope your both doing well and I see you both sometime up in the leechpit yourselfs. And by the way Kyllok nice thank ya letter, it had me in tears almost...if I could cry.

Sincerly yours and all that Rubish,

~Villya

slipping the vellum in a crisp, white envelope, she gives it to a carrier boy with the other two letters, kicking him in the shin with specific instructions before he goes off.

Chaos, panic, and disorder... My work here is done.
