Just curious, how does everyone feel about healing lists? Not sharing them I mean, but keeping a personal list?

I myself have recently begun keeping one. I base it on, how I'm treated when I heal and tips I'm given. If a person gives me a large tip, their name gets highlighted, so next time they ask for healing, they get prefered treatment. If however someone gives me no tip, or 1 gem especially if theyre cheap ones, they go on the stingy list. (Don't heal unless theyre dieing or you have nothing better to do) One person made that list simply by announcing that he never tips empaths, at all!

If someone is new, and doesn't tip, I make an exception, if theyre really nice, I also make an exception, and if they are on there, but they give me a big tip, I put em on the good list, I'm flexible :-). One person I healed, gave me absolutly nothing, even while she was popping boxes, and pulling coins an gems out. She made the slow service list, but got off by sitting there, chatting and giving me herbs for the next hour.

I kept a list for a while. Then I stopped healing people, so I don't keep one any more.

Hehe...sounds almost like me. I used to keep a list, then I got to where I rarely healed people, so I got rid of the majority of the list (I only kept ones who had specifically done something to me, as opposed to those who hadn't tipped me).

I do heal still, on very rare occasions, and when I do, I look at it as charity work. That way, if I don't get tipped, I'm not upset, and if I do, I'm pleasantly surprised. I actually did some charity work yesterday for the first time in months and had a pleasant experience. Strange as it may sound, I healed 2 people of non-deadly wounds....in Crossings....and was tipped 6 gold.

And I'm definitely NOT one of those empaths who will turn down a tip when it is offered, unless they are trying to tip me their room junk from hunting (no, I don't take stuffed frogs and lead belt knives). I enjoy shopping too much to be poor.

Healings lists are pretty useful...I've been keeping one for awhile now (dark green for good tippers and/or nice people, dark red mostly for just rude or mean people with the occasional bad tipper) and both sides have grown quite a bit.

Every now and then I'll go and browse through the red highlight list and if I can't remember what a person did to me I'll delete them. Though I normally keep my green highlighted people up there unless they do something to warrent being taken off. All and all a pretty good system.

I've kept a preferred patient/snert patient list for a long time. A huge tip or unusually gracious behavior will land you on the preferred list, but only unusually rude behavior will earn a spot on the snert list (I don't hold poverty against people).

Case in point: I had a brief conversation in the Infirmary a few weeks back with a youngster who was wondering 'which side' he should fight for if Jourok and Grishnok invaded. I politely explained a little of the history of those two figures, and Grishnok's history of killing Empaths in particular, whereupon the little snotrag stated that he would definitely consider joining their 'army'. Openly supporting enemies of our Guild, under our very roof, IMO earns a spot on the lifetime blacklist. Whenever I see that particular character in the guild I remove him.

For me its, Gold for people who tip well, Blue for people who have done me favors and who I owe, and Green for close family and friends. Red for GMs and guildleaders (Kalika, Tolle, Esuin, Annael...) Dark Blue for stingy tippers. And finally dark red for people who do nearly unforgivable things, like attack people in the empaths guild.

If they are really mean to me I won't heal them on general principle unless they're literally dumping plats on me. Not really enough people like that to warrent a whole new color. Besides, there are 6 colors already, tough keeping track of everything...Dark blue for GMPCs that I need to watch out for, Green for good tippers/nice people, Teal for friends, Dark red for the no-heal bunch, and bright red for people who I either need to hurt/kill on sight (for my other chars) or I really need to talk to (so they show up and I notice the color). Then I had purple for people in my old Order, and finally I had a sort of maroon color for Fortune's Path members...Both of those two are gone now though. Heh.

It was a joke, kinda, I think. Red for mean people, green for good tippers. If you mix the two colors together (and have a color for mean people who tip really well), it'd be brown. ;)

You could say the brown stands for something else, but I suppose that works rather well too.

I never make jokes. Am always either utterly serious or completely nonsensical. But joke? Now my feelings are hurt. Why must it be that I am ignored and when not ignored, misunderstood.

Now when I see any of your characters in game, I will sneer at them. You are on my brown list, ladies!

Hmph.

You only just now wonder this? For your information, I type very well with my tongue, thank you. And the padded keys are only a minor hinderence.

Ick...Typing with tongue, heh. If I tried to do that, I'd probably get some exotic illness even an empath couldn't cure.
