This isn't a Rant, but a friendly advice for any "new" empath that reads these boards...
The priority of healing is as follow.
Vitality
then wounds...
I see way too many empaths take wounds, but can't do it very well, while the person bleeds to death. Even with an empath using the crutch program, I still see it often. Even if you don't have the spell heal that heals your vitality, keeping a patient "some-what" stable will not kill ya. =)
Just a friendly reminder.
Yes, my 8th circle warmie just died tonight because of the same reason, and if I count correctly, that is about the 7th time in general that has happened to me overall.

Excellent advice, but I would add that after starting a vitality transfer, a good move is to tend your patient's wounds to stop the bleeding, as long as you have enough FA skill of course. But first you need to get your patient to sit or lie down. Infirmary Pet Peeve #243 is people who come in screaming that they're about to die from six bleeders, but don't have the sense to sit down so I can tend them.
