You can enter a moongate from either side of the singularity with items in the At-Feet inventory slot. If you try to drag someone else through the moongate while items are in your At-Feet inventory slot, At-Feet stops you. It does not stop you unless you're attempting to drag something or someone through the moongate. Not sure if this is an At-Feet bug or a Moongate bug or both.

>go moongate
As you cross the Moongate's threshold you are drawn through to the other side...

[Ranger Guild, Tree Grove]
Nature's soothing embrace surrounds this private reserve of young felenok pines. The rare trees bear golden-tipped cones and the aromatic scent of their needles fills the air. Near the center of the grove, a mature pine rises majestically above the others, its branches supporting a small treehouse that is accessed by a dangling rope. A tattered note is tacked to the wall of the guildhall between the large picture window and the door. You also see a black Moongate, a pool of black shadows, a chipmunk and a waste bin.
Also here: the body of Permethrim who is lying down
Obvious paths: west.
>drag perm moongate
You notice a faded white leather-bound sigilbook at your feet, and do not wish to leave it behind.
>
>get sigilbook
You pick up the sigilbook lying at your feet.
>drag perm moongate
You grab Permethrim's body and drag it with you . . .

[Northwall Trail, Wooded Grove]
The sounds of the river splash through the trees from the southeast, where the woods end abruptly in a tangle of felled trees. The massive deadfall looks like the remains of some giant creature, its weather-bleached bones laying in a great heap beside the river. You also see a black Moongate and a surly Shadow Servant.
Also here: the body of Permethrim who is lying down
Obvious paths: west.
Roundtime: 3 seconds.

It's an engine limitation of how AtFeet was implemented.

I think all portals work like this.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.
