Blame Malzard. This is his fault. I owed him a favor and he cashed in.

Alright, here it is, part 8 of the Lunar Pow-wow series. They say 8 is a pretty unlucky number (at least for wizards), but I guess we'll see, eh?

This time we're going to focus on Urvkil and the strange and unusual portents revolving around his appearance. We'll look at his cryptic messages regarding the constellations as well as his reputation as being one that consorts with and summons Voidspawn (and worse, apparently). We'll also hopefully chat about some of the lore Armifer has recently provided us on the boards (which, I assume, is fair game to discuss ICly). This will hopefully be an interesting meeting.

The date I'm looking at now is Friday August 22nd at 8 EST, in the usual place (one west of Kssarh). I know it's shorter than usual notice, but this event is moving pretty quickly and I'd like to get more people up to speed on what's been happening and get some discussion going. I'm pretty happy about this date and time but if there are too many conflicts I'll change it. Voice your opinion now.

Hope to see you all at our one-more-than-seventh meeting.

I'd consider moving it to Sunday. I'm mostly trying to avoid other events that might conflict, but who cares about jousting and textweddings?

We could bump it to Sunday at 9 maybe? What do people think?

New date and time: Sunday August 24th at 9 PM EST. Spread the word and be there.

Well you already changed it, but I'll just add that Sunday is also better for me. Like, difference in whether I'll be at work or not better. So... yeah.

Long post here, log of the meeting. Enjoy.

Caelumia says, "Everyone have a seat and get comfortable. Drinks on the table."

[Observatory, Third Level]
A twisted framework of oak timbers and brass machinery nearly fills the room. At its center, the tremendous tube of a weer crystal telescope slants upward at a slight angle toward the dome's center, splitting the air like a precarious steel pillar gone askew. A thick glass lens extends a small space beneath the scope's circular base. You also see a sparkling white-grey sphere, a morose Shadow Servant, a stone seat, a wooden table with some stuff on it, a large wooden sign and a small bubbling cauldron of viscous gloop.
Also here: Ruffian Fintrial, Mermaid Aeviona, Mentalist Gelibat who is sitting, G'nar Pethian Marowko who is sitting, Contemplator Kelnorree who is sitting, Calsey, Shadowmancer Zaped, Prophet Kystrk, Kaiyven, Contemplator Maleficoris who is sitting, Reduvi, Shadowmancer Stolas who is in a globe of blue fire, Navigator Rekletiva, Student Teacher Peridema, Nomad Mondmorder who is sitting, Garden Seeker Dalbin, Spell Slinger Kevile, Fateweaver Caelumia, Arcane Researcher Erelieva, Imoti, Marsais, Master Moon Mage Wildluck, Tezirite Rivos who is sitting, Servaius, Dreamer Taluun, Mauler Suraek who is sitting, Web Weaver Mivoring, Shadowmancer Zelion who is sitting, Celestian Drayden, Vermire, Soothsayer Tralilah, Magess Onara who is sitting, Visitor Nynavea who is sitting, Dissident Valcrest who is sitting, Magus Malzard, Witch Doctor Kasrkyn, Celestian Skaen who is sitting, Scribe Terra, Theurgist Alexsei.
Obvious exits: east, south.

Caelumia says, "I am Caelumia Rippentropp, for those of you that don't know me, and the purpose of this meeting is to discuss recent happenings involving a certain fellow named Urvkil."

Caelumia says, "For those of you unfamiliar with the format of these meetings, I'm going to start off by giving everyone a general summary of the goings-on so far just so we're all on the same page. For those of you already passingly familiar with the reasons for why we are here, I encourage you to quietly philosophize about the existential nature of your navels."

Caelumia says, "This truly starts with a series of visions experienced some months ago by Seers all over Kermoria. The first presented us with, of all things, a clown, painted in an oddly macabre fashion. In the middle of an abandoned town square, he began to ineptly juggle three pins, each the color of a moon. He concluded it by throwing them into the air and allowing them to shatter against the ground."

Caelumia says, "The next had us experience the sensation of floating among a sea of stars, with scorching streams of mana dancing around us and a moon zipping past our vision. The streams began to grow in number as one threatened to collide with us before we were shielded by a strange force. It did not inspire a feeling of safety so much as one of being separated and vulnerable. That one ended with a nasty headache."

Caelumia says, "Finally, we were treated to the image of a vast, glittering web, each thread subtly shifting position. Something unseen struck this web, and tore a great hole in it, sending ripples cascading through the rest. Threads from every part began breaking and dissolving, and the whole began to collapse."

Caelumia says, "These visions were disturbing to many, needless to say. The commotion in front of the Observatory prompted Master Kssarh to come down and attempt to calm people down. After some talk, he mentioned something about a celestial event, but said no more as he went back to his office."

Caelumia says, "It was some time after this that Urvkil first arrived. He once served as an advisor to Lady Adisla's father, a Kaldar from far to the south. He was banished from his tribe for, I understand, consorting with Voidspawn."

Caelumia says, "He is rather conspicuous. He dresses sparingly and is covered in tattoos."

Caelumia says, "These tattoos depict Voidspawn, Tenebraelings and other such creatures. And it was soon discovered he had a talent for summoning these creatuers."

Malzard says, "As do we all."

Caelumia says, "I wish."

Zelion says, "a rather painful way to summon them though..."

Mivoring asks, "Was he able to control them or just summon them to your knowledge?"

Peridema says, "I'm not sure it's the same thing..."

Caelumia says, "Oh not control, no. His methods are very crude. And his mind is not quite...right."

Caelumia says, "He spoke of portents of the future."

Zelion quietly says, "he did have a tame tenebraeling walking by his side, last i saw him..."

Caelumia says, "I had heard about that one."

Caelumia says, "The Voidspawn he summons with rogue moongates. Rather typical."

Caelumia says, "He's summoned Shadow Masters as well, though, and in large numbers."

Zelion quietly says, "quite a few really, as well as some shillouetts i think..."

Caelumia says, "In any case, he said soon the Ox would no longer protect us, and the Nightingale would have to take its place. But the Nightingale was growing weak. And he was vehement that he meant constellations, not Immortals."

Mivoring asks, "The nightingale does not rise until next month can ye mages sense its power still?"

It has been 391 years, 288 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
It is the 8th month of Skullcleaver the Dwarven Axe in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare.
It is currently fall and from here you can only see that it's nighttime.

Caelumia shakes her head.

Rekletiva asks, "Do we have a Celestian present?"

Caelumia says, "We've experienced more visions since then. Of a nightingale staring at the sky, a weasel sneaking up on it."

Erelieva says, "I've been observing the Nightingale, and there is nothing noticeably different so far."

Zelion quietly says, "Urvkil imposed "the answer is in the heavens, study the skys" before his departure that one eve"

Caelumia says, "It's not just Urvkil now."

Caelumia says, "A priest named Fynes arrived in Therenborough. Devoted to Phelim. He offered a drop of blood to his god, and was chased by plague wraiths."

Mivoring says, "Well to match that with the hearsay cominf from the meeting witht he cleric in Theren and it would appear that a star could be fading, whatever that means."

Caelumia says, "He said he noticed certain stars had been fading and that he believed Phelim to be growing weaker."

Caelumia says, "This is in opposition to what Urvkil insists."

Mivoring says, "Confusing and confliting to be sure."

Caelumia says, "I believe Malzard knows first hand Urvkil's reaction to those who attempt to draw parallels to the Immortals... which is to say, not a good one."

Stolas says, "Mages and clerics find it hard to agree on things such as constellations and gods."

Malzard says, "One is a Seer, the other a Priest..."

Malzard shrugs.

Malzard says, "These are their lenses through which they view a Nexus."

Caelumia says, "Urvkil speaks of seeking favor, yet reacts to mention of the Immortals with derision and anger."

Alexsei quietly says, "Perhaps the answer lies somewhere in the middle."

Kystrk says, "hey, some things are just practical"

Caelumia says, "And this a gift."

Caelumia taps a stone mortar bearing an image of a nightingale screaming at the sky that she is holding.

Caelumia says, "Which Malzard has so kindly loaned to me."

Servaius says, "I might, if allowed note that this is not the first time those from the south have had an obsession with bird imagiry. Although, I have reason to make a strong parrallel."

Kystrk says, "oh yeah wren's back too"

Kystrk says, "side note"

Caelumia says, "It's more than just the south. He wanders all over. And Fynes comes from the deep desert."

Mivoring asks, "Is it possible that any of the planes are affected by these things, any noticiable differences that is?"

Peridema asks Kystrk, "Wren?"

Caelumia says, "Vecuto has experienced these visions. And apparently Tallis has as well."

Rekletiva says to Peridema, "Bard."

Caelumia says, "Those are Cleric guildleaders."

Malzard says, "He also seems to...challenge us? In his madness..."

Caelumia says, "Of course... According to Master Kssarh, the Immortals have nothing to do with it."

Caelumia says, "So what is the truth."

Mivoring says, "Good question."

Caelumia taps a stone mortar bearing an image of a nightingale screaming at the sky that she is holding.

Caelumia gets a weasel pestle from inside her stone mortar.

Suraek asks, "Could it be possible the events mentioned are independant? That we have our...issue, while the clerics have their own?"

Stolas says, "All things are connected in the Web of Fate."

Terra says to Suraek, "While probable, that seems unlikely."

Caelumia says, "Well."

Terra says to Suraek, "Possible, even."

Mivoring says, "The seem so have a common tie to the nightingale and the weasel."

Caelumia says, "As the Scion was so kind to point out, the Clerics tend to inject their religion into things."

Malzard says, "Their lens..."

Alexsei says, "Events seem to suggest a connection... Even through legends of our world's Creation. Phelim using Tamsine's tears to create the stars, symbolic or no, might have some relevance to this situation, all matters of faiths and beliefs aside."

Kougen says, "A simpler and more likely explanation is that the constellations which we attribute to the immortals are more than mere symbols."

Caelumia says to Alexsei, "Ah, there is another vision about that."

Caelumia says, "A cook - a clear metaphor for Tamsine - weeping over a spilled meal. An artist dabbing at her tears with a brush, and using it to paint a canvas with stars."

Caelumia says, "And a figure in the shadows stealing these points of light off the canvas."

Rekletiva quietly says, "A spilled pot."

Marsais asks, "Have you all seen the vision of the two figures arm wrestling in the Temple?"

Kystrk says, "yeah, lets place bets"

Tralilah says, "no"

Marowko says, "Quick thing to add in here i am totaly uselss and have no idea whats going on"

Marsais says, "Urvkil mentioned that vision as well. One of the figures has a knife under that table."

Marsais says, "And someone said that one of the figures plans to cheat."

Malzard asks, "Did he mention it....or did those he ask mention it?"

Malzard says, "He asks us...he wants to know what we know. What we see."

You say, "Those he spoke to brought up that specific vision."

Caelumia says, "He came here and believed us foolish for not seeing the signs sooner."

Caelumia says, "And perhaps that is true."

Marsais says to Malzard, "I believe someone asked him and he praised them with that simple answer of cheating."

Caelumia says, "But I suspect we will not know for sure until the Nightingale and the Weasel rise."

Aeviona asks Caelumia, "I am no Moon Mage, but I know that your guild uses constellations to create enchantments, yes? Could there perhaps be some connection to the weakening stars and a recipe for a new spell?"

Malzard says, "Indeed he did, I was there."

Caelumia says to Aeviona, "Enchantments and spells are very different."

Calissa asks, "perhaps a weakening of some enchantment then?"

Alexsei says to Caelumia, "Whether the matters concern only one aspect or the other, it would seem that the visions use symbolism that connects both. The question remains, what is the thread that connects the two."

Kelnorree asks, "what if the patterns change?"

Servaius asks, "If I might be so bold as to ask why is Urvkil sharing this, is there any indication of the intent of his leads?"

Caelumia says, "He seems to want to warn us. But he is easily aggravated."

Mivoring says, "What I noticed the most is the undead sure seem attracted to these two folks, summoned or not. The undead appear when they are about."

Caelumia says, "I have never seen undead around Urvkil."

Zelion says, "only spawn of the void"

Caelumia says, "The Plane of Probability."

Caelumia says, "Living shadows."

Rekletiva says, "Shadows on the wall."

Caelumia says, "And Voidspawn in particular, the very embodiments of anger."

Mivoring says, "I understand more now, thank you."

Stolas says, "I know that shadow creatures exhibit a lot of tendencies of the undead."

Kelnorree asks, "if I recall correctly, does not the Nightingale set as the Weasel rises?"

Mivoring says, "Confusing for a ranger such as myself, good to clear those things up."

Caelumia says, "They come up at about the same time I believe."

Marsais says, "The Weasel comes up a bit before the Nightengale."

Caelumia says, "It's a common misconception since shadow creatures are hurt by blessed weapons. This is because light manifest itself harms them."

Marsais says, "The 28th day of this month."

Alexsei says, "One link that seems common to all od these visions, if I may say so, as that whatever their nature, it suggest a breach upon balance and order. All of these things seem to suggest an event that will shake the delicate balance of things as we know them."

Imoti says, "As per time of day, yes, the nightingaler sets as the weasel rises"

Caelumia says, "I'll note those starcharts are notoriously inaccurate."

Rekletiva says, "38th."

Imoti says, "Starwatch"

Caelumia says, "So don't rely on them too much."

Caelumia looks at Alexsei and shrugs.

Caelumia says, "The Web collapsing is certainly disturbing."

Malzard says, "What other visions have we seen that might be related. I know we've mentioned the temple, but I'm unconvinced of that...."

Kelnorree says, "I had a vision of ghouls turning into children"

Rekletiva says to Malzard, "A knife seems somewhat appropriate for a trickster."

Servaius asks, "Might I ask a novice what is it that threatens such shadow creatures, how can they be harmed?

Caelumia says, "Light manifest."

Caelumia says, "Dazzle, Burn. Bless, Divine Radiance."

Malzard says to Rekletiva, "A celestial temple, perhaps."

Maleficoris asks, "I'm not sure if I'm getting ahead of this meeting, but do the visions involving the tome and the shadowed figures have any connection?"

Marowko asks, "I dunno much about visions but i just had one of a man in with tatoos that walked by with someone and they were speaking about a meeting any one else get that?"

Caelumia says, "Partial Displacement works in a pinch."

Marsais says, "I think I should mention as well and I know most here don't give a rat's arse what Tallis thinks, but she did say she believed the gods were involved in a struggle amongst themselves."

Maleficoris says, "Maybe this tome has some way of effecting the balance"

Peridema asks Marowko, "When?"

Caelumia says to Marowko, "That would be this meeting here. The one you're at right now."

Taluun says to Peridema, "just before this meeting."

Marowko asks, "Really?"

Caelumia says, "Yes. Really."

Mivoring says, "That makes sense to me Marsais."

Marowko says, "I am slow"

Caelumia says, "Because I am -that- awesome."

Caelumia says, "Kystrk helped."

Kystrk says, "I think her notes actually say hold for applause after that line"

Servaius asks, "Is possiable the nightingale and whesle only intend to convey a sense of the passage of time rather then some greater meaning?"

Skaen asks, "Urvkil also mentioned observing the Nightingale would serve to strengthen it?"

Caelumia says to Servaius, "I toyed with that. I believe it does have to do with timing, but it's also more than that."

Caelumia says, "Since there are those that insist that the stars are literally fading."

Peridema asks Skaen, "I think Coralin mentioned that message?"

Caelumia says, "Yes. Observing them helps. Somehow. I don't know how Urvkil came to this conclusion."

Caelumia says, "The Web has been more forthcoming for him it seems. Perhaps that's why he's so mad."

Mivoring asks, "Has a star ever faded before?"

Rekletiva says, "Symbolism."

Stolas says, "Stars have faded and grown stronger in the past."

Servaius says, "And Yet the instance is the stars have nothing to do with the immortals is to put is midly suspicious given events over the last several years past."

Kelnorree says, "perhaps the act of observing has an effect on the observed"

Rekletiva says, "Or the observers."

Caelumia says, "Our visions are not divine in nature."

Caelumia says, "We are not vessels of the gods. We are not their mouthpieces. We are not granted foresight through the divine will and grace of the Immortals."

Kougen says, "It does kind of connect in that context. 'Awaiting the triumphant' in a struggle amongst the 'gods'."

Caelumia says, "There is nothing Holy about what we do. So I would say that there is more to it than religion."

Malzard says, "All my observations have never ceased the stars from moving in their natural way across the heavens."

Malzard says, "The Ox will fade soon enough..."

Alexsei asks Caelumia, "Forgive my ignorance of Astrology and its mechanisms, but in your lore, what does the Ox govern, if I may ask?"

Marowko says, "It will"

Malzard says, "...the Nightingale and Weasel will rise..."

Rekletiva asks, "Did the Cleric implore his fellows to take any actions?"

Marowko asks, "?"

Kelnorree says, "maybe your observations cause them to move"

Malzard says, "...and then..."

Malzard shrugs.

Servaius asks, "Might be so bold as to question drag this back to the foundation of the discussion and simply ask what does Urvkil get from this?"

Marowko exclaims, "I sure hope not i like my white sphere!"

Mivoring asks, "I heard that he said something about Phelim becoming weaker?"

Caelumia says to Alexsei, "It's all interrelated. The Ox symbolizes Truffenyi, but it also symbolizes the same things Truffenyi might."

Caelumia says, "Unless you meant that more literally."

Mivoring says, "Not sure how true that is."

Kelnorree says, "from what was said, this Urvkil wants the Nightingale to be observed"

Caelumia says to Rekletiva, "He spoke of converting people by blade, so."

Kelnorree says, "what happens when everyone is looking there and not elsewhere"

Rekletiva says, "Oh. So we'll help by dying."

Kystrk says, "maybe he means he'll carve us up some sweet tats"

Caelumia says, "Only heathens."

Rekletiva says, "That's you."

Mivoring says, "Aye, the sand elves and the slavers I heard that is who he was converting when he left the desert."

Caelumia says, "He was nice to me. I was careful not to mention my atheism."

Servaius asks, "Forgive my ignorence what does the nightingale represent?"

Stolas asks, "Damaris?"

Peridema says, "Phelim."

Valcrest asks Caelumia, "do you know if the rumors that the Shaman of Nomads of the Arid Steppe had a vision?"

Caelumia says, "The Nightingale is the avatar of Phelim."

Terra says, "Phelim"

Kystrk says, "er"

Mivoring says, "Phelim"

Kystrk says, "not nodding to that"

Valcrest asks Caelumia, "and if so what about?"

Alexsei says, "Phelim, the light aspect of Damaris."

Stolas says, "So ... Damaris."

Caelumia says to Valcrest, "I know of the rumors but I have heard no actual accounts of someone who had a vision."

Alexsei says, "The one people call upon when comes the time to exact righteous vengeance."

Caelumia says, "I hear Wulfcat is claiming to. Pardon while those of us who know Wulfcat snort a little bit into our drinks."

Peridema says to Stolas, "I'm not a cleric, but I think the distinction is important, even if they are aspects of each other."

Malzard says to Fintrial, "Tell them."

Gelibat says, "Very."

Stolas says, "An echo of the voice is Phelim to Damaris."

Marsais says to Servaius, "Phelim is said to have made the stars, so he holds a special place for some mages."

Malzard says to Fintrial, "A Cleric's interpretation is as good as any at this point."

Caelumia says, "Phelim is the painter in the vision, of course."

Kelnorree says, "and the Weasel represents Huldah"

Alexsei says to Peridema, "I agree as well, whether it is a matter of faith or not. There are nuances that might be lost in translation if one does not pay attention to detail."

Fintrial says, "It was Alexei's interpretation. I just had the vision."

Peridema says, "I've actually wanted to hear more of what the clerics have to say."

Mivoring says, "I think they both tie together in some way. This being such a powerful thing as to have an effect on the Moon Mages visons and the Clerical leads me to believe this."

Mivoring says, "To what end I am not sure."

Caelumia says, "It is natural that it would tie together. But how deep does the metaphor go."

Alexsei says, "In our lore, Phelim played a very different role than Damaris in the Creation of the world. Phelim spread the Stars across the Heavens, and it is also Phelim that put the World Dragon to sleep with his powder."

Marowko says, "How do you people know this stuff"

Pormithius says, "I apologize for my late arival."

Kelnorree says, "books"

Kystrk says, "we're making it up"

Terra says to Marowko, "Books."

Rekletiva says, "Quietly listening."

Suraek grins.

Mivoring says, "Study and research."

Caelumia offers Pormithius a thick silver signet ring bearing the Rippentropp crest.

Alexsei says, "Which might connect this to the vision you had of the moons shattering in the hands of this juggler."

Caelumia says, "Aah."

Kystrk exclaims, "a junior adventurers decoder ring!"

Kelnorree asks, "what enchantments can be made with the Nightingale?"

Servaius asks, "What is the planet associated with Damaris?"

Kystrk says, "empowerment"

Mivoring says, "That was the most dramatic vison, to see the moons explode n smash."

Zelion says, "unbend."

Gelibat says to Kelnorree, "Good question"

Kelnorree asks, "and with the Weasel?"

Caelumia says to Alexsei, "The Immortals are powerful symbols to be sure. I do not believe any modern astrologer truly believes that Phelim collected Tamsine's tears and spread them across the heavens, but it's a metaphor for something."

Mivoring says to Fintrial, "the jugglin clown n his pins."

Rekletiva asks, "Who is the clown?"

Taluun asks, "Clown is a bardic title is it not? Any issues involving bards of late?"

Fintrial says, "Hardly the most dramatic vision."

Tralilah says, "Kssarh"

Caelumia mutters into the air something about idiot.

Kystrk says, "I think Taluun is on to something"

Kystrk says, "the Bards are the key"

Caelumia says, "Strk just wants to kill Bards."

Kystrk says, "lets start taking some fingers off"

Kystrk says, "and see what they say"

Caelumia says to Kystrk, "There's one over there. You can start with her."

Caelumia points at Terra.

Aeviona smiles relieved it wasn't her.

Alexsei says to Caelumia, "Yes, I believe so as well. The point here, I believe lies in the imagery and the symbolism. Not all of us believe the legends to the letter either, but rather as a metaphor of the God's roles in the Creation of our lands."

Caelumia says to Alexsei, "Or other things."

Marowko says, "oppsie"

Marowko says, "Sorry bout dat"

Rekletiva asks Alexsei, "Then what were the tears, before they were strewn across the sky?"

Mivoring says, "Tasmines tears I believe."

Mivoring says, "I am not sure about that though, would have to gather my notes."

Rekletiva says, "A hearth. Interesting."

Caelumia glances outside a moment.

Caelumia shrugs.

Caelumia says, "The Ox will set soon."

Alexsei says to Mivoring, "You are correct. Tamsine, the Hearth."

Caelumia says, "And either way we will see."

Kelnorree asks Caelumia, "you expect something to happen when the Ox sets?"

Rekletiva quietly says, "}rekletiva Setting a boundary on the home. Hm."

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "Yes."

Caelumia says, "In short."

Kelnorree says, "then, we wait"

Peridema asks Alexsei, "You mentioned the World Dragon earlier. In the stories, could it be that a weakened Phelimm or nightingale means the Dragon will not fall asleep?"

Servaius asks, "Does Urvkil hope to stop or retard the events that will occur after the fall of the Ox?"

Kelnorree says, "Phelim does not keep the Dragon asleep"

Caelumia says, "We can't simply wait for it to come and not prepare."

Kystrk says, "can so"

Mivoring says, "Tis not Phelim that keeps the dragon asleep"

Kelnorree asks, "prepare for what?"

Terra says, "Peri'el keeps the dragon asleep with the aid of Phelim's sands, or so the legend goes."

Kelnorree asks, "prepare how?"

Peridema nods to Mivoring.

Mivoring says, "Tis Eluned sister PEri something I think"

Stolas says, "I would believe that Urvkil follows the path of shadow."

Servaius says, "Prepare implies a direction I fear."

Caelumia says, "That would be the myth yes."

Rekletiva says, "Hav'roth's Light Aspect, you mean."

Alexsei says to Peridema, "Phelim put the Dragon to sleep, but it is Per'iel that maintains him so, using her song and Phelim's powder to keep the Beast at bay. That is what Clerical lore states, in any case."

Peridema says, "Perhaps it's a tangent, then."

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "Whatever it is, it is... bad, it seems."

Caelumia says, "Prepare how you see fit, I suppose."

Alexsei says to Peridema, "She is the Guardian. Clerical legends paint her as staying at World Dragon's side, at the core of our planet."

Mivoring says, "Maybe the world dragon had a fit of gas in his sleep."

Kystrk says, "anyone want to do a group prediction"

Caelumia says, "We are not doing group predictions in the Observatory."

Servaius says, "Bad is rather defined term. Bad it may be however, bad appears to only be what the elusive Urvkil is implying."

Gelibat says, "I didnt know we could predict together.."

Kelnorree says to Caelumia, "so, when the Ox sets, our survival lessens and as the Nightingale weakens and the Weasel attacks, our ability to defend ourselves is lessened by trickery"

Caelumia says, "Our visions did not depict positive portents."

Malzard says to Gelibat, "We cannot."

Kelnorree asks, "is that how one should interpret these signs?"

Gelibat says, "Ah."

Marsais says, "And Urvkil is not the only one warning us."

Mivoring says to Caelumia, "Thank you for calling this meeting, I have learned much n see there is much more to learn. I must be going now."

Marsais says, "Kssarh seemed...concerned by the visions to me, though he did not let on."

Pormithius says, "There have been at least three others."

Pormithius says, "Fynes, Ealuik, and Vecuto."

Kelnorree asks, "Vecuto?"

Marsais says, "Tallis as well."

Caelumia says, "Ealuik merely hypthesized."

Pormithius says, "Yes, but he agreed that something was amiss."

Rekletiva says, "Guildleader Vecuto of the Forfedhar Cleric Guild."

Servaius says, "I apploguise, I am but a lowly novice and thus fail come to table with the full compliment of visions as such."

Caelumia says, "He pointed out that regardless of the lense as Malzard put it, the gist of it remains the same."

Malzard says, "Ealuik would only see what we see....unless he is completely turned to lead."

Malzard says, "The Clerics would have seen the same thing."

Caelumia says, "The Clerics do not see the same things."

Marsais says to Servaius, "That's quite alright, it's why we're all here. To learn."

You ask, "Are the clerics seeing visions as well, different from ours?"

Rekletiva asks, "What exactly was it that Vecuto informed us of?"

Caelumia says, "That is what Vecuto claims."

Fintrial nods to you.

Caelumia says, "That he noticed the stars fading."

Caelumia says, "And experienced a vision himself."

Kelnorree asks, "does what the Clerics see and what Moon Mages see paint a more clear picture?"

Malzard asks Caelumia, "Is that not what the forest priest said also?"

Caelumia nods to Malzard.

Rekletiva says, "Interesting. I wonder what exactly Esuin is asking people to fund."

Kasrkyn says, "Vecuto saw an army marching on an unknown town. Not a star was in the sky"

Malzard says to Caelumia, "I meant they would see the same thing as each other."

Terra asks Malzard, "What forest priest?"

You ask, "What exactly are the clerics seeing in their visions?"

Rekletiva says, "Because that sounds like a crusade."

Alexsei says, "In our lore, the Weasel is Botolf, and he governs dishonesty and trickery. He is Chadatru's dark counterpart."

Peridema says to Rekletiva, "I think it was an auction to benefit one of the temples."

Caelumia says, "The Weasel is Huldah."

Alexsei says, "Indeed, pardon this."

Rekletiva cheerfully says to Peridema, "I have no problem believing that a Cleric would lie."

Kelnorree says, "or other deceivers, like this Urvkil"

Caelumia asks, "Why do you say he is a deceiver?"

Servaius asks, "Is there any reason to label Urvkil a deceiver?"

Kystrk says, "yes"

Kystrk says, "to sell newsletters"

Kelnorree asks, "is there a reason to hear his words as truth?"

Caelumia says, "Unbalanced, yes, but his connection may render him more able to see the future."

Caelumia says, "He noticed it before the rest of us did."

Kelnorree asks, "connection to what?"

Caelumia says, "The Plane. The creatures there."

Peridema says, "It seems strange that he is the messenger or seer in this case."

Marsais says, "We have the clerics visions as well that coincide with what Urvkil has been saying, although Tallis mentioned that their divine visions may be tampered with."

Servaius says, "This is what nags me the creatures from the plane of Probability appear from whathas been said to be his greatest concern."

Rekletiva asks, "...tampered?"

Peridema asks Marsais, "Tampered?"

Aeviona asks, "If he has spent his life learning to control those creatures of shadow and now fears a change in the Nightingale, could it possibly mean that the manipulation of shadows might also weaken? Or at least what holds them back?"

Caelumia says, "The Voidspawn kill him as surely as they do anyone else."

Kelnorree asks, "then what is he warning us of?"

Peridema says, "And why."

Marsais says to Peridema, "She believed that the gods were involved in a struggle so the clerics could be getting misleading visions."

Alexsei quietly says, "There is no real way to verify whether he was mad before he received the visions, or whether it is the visions that rendered him mad."

Servaius asks, "Is Urvkil mad?"

Peridema says to Marsais, "I see."

Marsais says, "But those visions wouldn't apply to us."

Kelnorree says, "or if his madness allowed him to see more"

Malzard says, "His methods are madness....he himself...."

Malzard shrugs.

Kelnorree asks, "what if he does not understand what he is seeing?"

Malzard says, "What if we do not."

Marsais says, "And we can't forget that most of us have seen the visions he speaks of. So although he may be mad the fact is that there are the visions."

Kelnorree says, "one of which is the Web being manipulated and damaged"

Servaius says, "Then I might propse to assume he is not indeed mad."

Caelumia says, "I would say he is quite mad myself."

Peridema says, "What bothers me is that he claims a desire to preserve the Nightingale, yet his methods seem more appropriate to the Weasel."

Caelumia says, "He's articulate, certainly, but that is not really a fair indication of a person's sanity or lack thereof."

Malzard says to Caelumia, "Agreed."

Marowko says, "Ok well as much as i love being confushed i think i should go be confushed someone else"

G'nar Pethian Marowko just went east.

Servaius says, "However, due to my own hertaige. I will throw something unique to the floor. If he is indeed from the far south he may be accessing visions or knowledge from the set of Gods which do not grace this land."

Rekletiva quietly says to himself, "Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that the G'nar Pethian is confused."

Marsais says, "Our visions do not stem from the gods."

Alexsei asks, "One point that seems to be of import is that he is very much loathe to let anyone connect these events to the Immortals, or to any interpretation that includes such lore. Is that that he truly believes it is unconnected, or is it deceit, meant so that this connection is not made?"

Caelumia says, "He does not object to the deeper symbology I think."

Caelumia says, "Connecting the Weasel to trickery, for example."

Caelumia says, "Rather he refuses direct association with a diety."

You ask, "Has Urvkil done anything that would suggest to us that he has been deceitful in any way, now or in the past?"

Caelumia says, "And... well, we don't get our visions from gods. There's nothing holy about what we do. So there is clearly more going on here."

Caelumia says, "According to him and others this is something that can affect us all. More than Moon Mages, more than Clerics."

Skaen says to you, "The association he has with Voidspawn"

You say, "I've never seen voidspawn is being deceitful."

Caelumia says, "Voidspawn do not typically have the mental capacity..."

Kelnorree says, "if the boundaries between the Planes are weakening, that would affect all guilds I would think"

Rekletiva asks, "How far south is his tribe? Albaria?"

Skaen says, "Someone who would associate with the Voidspawn...I wasn't referring to the Voidspawn themselves"

Peridema says to Skaen, "It's the reason I question his motives."

Caelumia says to Rekletiva, "A good question, and I don't recall what Adisla said. Regardless, he parted company with them many many years ago."

Kelnorree asks Caelumia, "are you hoping Urvkil will appear when the Ox sets?"

Caelumia says, "He appears quite often, honestly."

Caelumia says, "Turns up all over. His visits usually end in violence."

Alexsei asks Terra, "You met with Lady Lothar before, did you not? I wonder if she would have insight to offer about Urkvil himself?"

You ask Caelumia, "On that point, have his visits ever ended without voidspawn?"

You nod in understanding as Terra fills you in on some of the obscure details of Targeted Magic you desperately need to know.

Marsais says, "She become angry when you speak his name aloud, at least I heard that."

Terra says to Alexsei, "I believe she has returned South for a bit. My information could be incorrect though."

Peridema says, "In the visions I've seen, there are two major themes. One is that some treasure is uncovered. Another theme is that of betrayal. So, I have to wonder what the treasure in this case might be, and what the betrayl will be."

Caelumia says, "His name is an anathema to Adisla and her guard."

Caelumia says to you, "Once. Malzard talked him down."

Caelumia says, "And gave him the mortar."

Fateweaver Mozzik's group just arrived.

You also see a misshapen Shadow Servant, a looming Shadow Servant, a disagreeable Shadow Servant, a shadowling, a morose Shadow Servant, a stone seat, a wooden table with some stuff on it, a large wooden sign and a small bubbling cauldron of viscous gloop.
Also here: Scholar Aynga, Fateweaver Mozzik, Contemplator Kelnorree who is sitting, Scribe Terra who is sitting, Shadowmancer Stolas who is in a crazed black cage, Exorcist Niynon who is sitting, Navigator Rekletiva, Arcane Researcher Erelieva who is sitting, Dissident Valcrest who is sitting, Lyzalian, Dark Mystic Pormithius, Prophet Kystrk who is sitting, Raliena, Sage Kougen, Magus Malzard, Calissa who is sitting, Ruffian Fintrial who is sitting, Mermaid Aeviona who is sitting, Calsey, Kaiyven, Contemplator Maleficoris who is sitting, Reduvi who is sitting, Student Teacher Peridema, Nomad Mondmorder who is sitting, Garden Seeker Dalbin who is sitting, Fateweaver Caelumia, Marsais, Master Moon Mage Wildluck, Tezirite Rivos who is sitting, Servaius, Mauler Suraek who is sitting, Shadowmancer Zelion who is sitting, Vermire, Soothsayer Tralilah, Magess Onara who is sitting, Visitor Nynavea who is sitting, Witch Doctor Kasrkyn, Celestian Skaen who is sitting, Theurgist Alexsei.
Obvious exits: east, south.

Servaius asks, "I think the better question might be have the vists ever occured with someting trying to incite violence from Urvkil?"

Malzard says, "We had a conversation."

Caelumia says to Peridema, "Those visions are years and years old."

Servaius says, "Err without that is."

Caelumia says, "He gets irritated easily."

Malzard says, "It's probably meaningless, aside from the mortar."

Kelnorree asks, "have you used the mortar?"

Malzard says, "No."

Kelnorree says to Malzard, "maybe you should"

Kelnorree says, "see what happens"

Caelumia says, "It's a normal mortar and pestle."

Malzard says, "It isn't magical as far as I can tell. I suspect it will suitably crush whatever we'd like."

Peridema says, "I wonder if they're symbolic."

Alexsei says, "So it has no magical use... Symbolism is a likely conclusion, unless the mortar is meant to be some sort of key."

You say, "Does anyone know exactly what the clerics saw in their visions? I have not heard them yet."

Niynon says, "I never got one, or I'd gladly share."

Malzard asks, "I wonder...what do we think it could really mean?"

Malzard says, "We see a thief stealing the stars. The Clerics see them fading and falling to the Void..."

Malzard asks, "What would that mean?"

Kelnorree says, "that the stars are changing"

Malzard says, "Do we expect them to blink out of existence? I certainly don't...."

Kelnorree says, "or the pattern they make will"

Rekletiva asks, "The Bloodworm isn't due, is it?"

Zelion asks Malzard, "could those pins, the clown held, represent something else, other than our moons?"

Zelion says, "or has that been confirmed to be"

Malzard says, "The disgusting clown appeared to juggle the moons, the colors were rather distinct."

Caelumia says, "It is the likeliest conclusion."

You ask, "Well, it was a red pin, a black pin, and a blue pin. What else might you suggest?"

Rekletiva says, "No confirmation. We don't even know who, or what, the clown is."

Caelumia quietly says, "I hate clowns."

Aeviona asks, "Could it be the sun?"

Peridema asks Rekletiva, "The Weasel, perhaps?"

Rekletiva says to Peridema, "Hrm. Maybe, I suppose."

Peridema says to Rekletiva, "Not literally, I imagine, but..."

Kelnorree says, "if we are to take the visions, clerical and moon mage both, as unaltered, they all seem to point to some sort of heavenly upheaval"

Rekletiva says to Peridema, "All visions are metaphorical."

Caelumia says to Rekletiva, "Not all."

Rekletiva says, "Point."

Caelumia says, "My visions of Maelshyve's abyss ended up -quite- literal, which I discovered after I fell into it."

Caelumia says, "But I digress."

Alexsei says, "We should coordinate our efforts. When the time comes that the Ox constellation sets, our people should try to pray to and invoke Truffenyi, that we see if there is indeed a connection to be made or not."

Aeviona says to Caelumia, "That was a good story though."

Peridema says, "Could we hear more about Huldah, since the Weasel is tied into all this."

Erelieva asks, "If the pins do represent the moons, then the juggling would seem to represent the cycle they follow in the sky. Could this be as serious as something that could disrupt the movement of the moons, or at the very least their influence over Elanthia?"

Terra says, "Huldah is the Trickster, the Imp. Dark aspect of Truffenyi."

Terra says, "Trickster, imp, bedeviler, fouler up of best laid plans, Huldah's schemes can often appear very appealing at first, but quickly sour. Reasoning with him is dangerous, and few who strike a bargain with him have ever gotten out of it ahead. He despises mortals, and delights in seeing that which is pure become despoiled, especially by some act of his. Huldah can also cause terrible storms that resemble lightning storms, but are composed of magic instead of electricity."

Alexsei says, "Terra can give a good description of him, I believe... Ah well, here we are."

You say, "Straight from the book."

A pair of lumbering shadow servants trudge in. With a random grunt in Mozzik's general direction they pick up the large wooden table and head back out of the room.

Rekletiva says, "If he wins, I wonder if we could convince him to make us all immortal."

Kelnorree says, "I am suddenly thirstly"

Aeviona says, "I should have grabbed another egg."

Alexsei says, "Again, some of our lore suggest that Huldah might have cause Grahzir to shatter, since he, contrary to Truffenyi, despises the Immortals' creations and would wish to see them perish."

Suraek says, "I should have filled up my drink caddy"

Kelnorree asks, "what happened to the skies when Grazhir shattered?"

Kelnorree asks, "did they change?"

Rekletiva says, "They were replaced by a Dragon."

Alexsei says, "The World Dragon hatched from its shell."

Caelumia says, "The World Dragon is a myth."

Kelnorree says, "this I know but that was not the intent of my question"

Kelnorree says, "I am not asking what came out of the moon"

Kelnorree asks, "I am asking, what effect did it have upon the heavens once it fell?"

Stolas says, "Caelumia is a myth."

Mozzik says to Stolas, "The world is not that lucky."

Pormithius says, "Stolas is noisy."

Rekletiva says, "That's why we're all here, obviously."

Alexsei says, "Well, the key here seems to be in the interpretation of the symbols... True or not, the end of Grahzir and the tale of the World Dragon represent periods of great strife."

Raliena says, "oh tears! "

Stolas says, "And Rippentrops are all joined at the hip."

Peridema says, "From what I've read, the black moon Katamba used to be golden. When Grazhir shattered, it was scorched."

Raliena asks, "may I see them?"

Raliena peers quizzically at Zelion.

Pormithius says, "And Stolas isn't so noisy."

Rekletiva asks, "How long ago was the shattering of Grazhir? We have literature that predates that, no?"

Caelumia says, "...No."

Peridema says, "So there would have been at least two differences in the sky."

Caelumia says, "Thousands and thousands of years ago."

Rekletiva says, "My memory is faulty."

Raliena says, "very intrigueing"

Caelumia says, "It almost entirely destroyed what civilization there was."

Caelumia says, "What remains from that time is scant.."

Mozzik says, "We've a few stray references to the moon being golden... not much though."

Pormithius says to Stolas, "Pointless interuptions should be kept to a minimum."

Kelnorree says, "the Standing Stones were before Grazhir fell"

Caelumia says, "Some believe Thee Mottl'd Tyxte may have started around that time."

Caelumia says, "And the obelisks predate its fall."

Stolas asks, "Who pulled your string?"

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "No they were not."

Alexsei says, "In clerical lore, the battle against the World Dragon was a period where the collective efforts of the Immortals were needed to even preserve the world at all, and even then, much of it was lost."

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "The Stones are mid to late Imperial."

Kelnorree says, "I keep mixing up the Stones and the Obelisks"

Peridema asks, "But Kssarh said it wasn't a sign of the end of the world?"

Caelumia says, "I doubt the world is ending, no."

Pormithius asks Stolas, "Yes?"

Kelnorree says, "just maybe our role in it"

Raliena says, "one ending is another beginning"

Rekletiva cheerfully says, "Unless the sky falls."

Kelnorree says, "or changes"

Peridema says, "Well, I agree. I'm just wondering how we could tie that in."

Alexsei says, "The world might not end, but it does not mean it might not face a great change..."

Raliena says, "obviously the world didnt end before simply changed drastically"

Stolas asks Pormithius, "Are you interupting the meeting or just trying to pick a fight?"

Zelion says, "the visions we've received alone tell us something great will happen. we just have to decypher what...."

Zelion says, "and when"

You say, "When Kssarh came out after the visions, I got the impression that he wanted to quell mass hysteria - the visions were jarring - but that he was concerned about the future. This is something important, but not world ending."

Pormithius says to Stolas, "Sir, I am here to keep the peace and to help. I would appreciate it if you would keep your tongue and your magic to yourself."

Kelnorree asks, "if the stars changed their patterns, how much would we lose of our abilities?"

Raliena says, "loss could be gain"

Alexsei says, "End, death and change are often associated with each other in symbolism. End needs not be so litteral, it can only apply to certain aspects of a whole, thus bringing change."

Stolas asks, "I have done all of those things, so what is with you singling me out?"

Kelnorree says, "which may be why there were eggs on the table"

Pormithius says, "I am done with this conversation, please be quiet."

Stolas asks, "So, this is no longer a free exchange of ideas?"

Caelumia says, "Please be civil, people."

Caelumia says, "It is best if the topic is dropped."

Stolas says, "Please talk to your relative who is causing problems."

Pormithius says, "I asked you once sir."

Caelumia slowly says, "It is best if the topic is dropped."

Pormithius says, "Please do not speak of me anymore."

Stolas says, "No, you told me. There is a difference."

Zelion says, "death is only the begining of something greater. be it life reborn, or standing beside your chosen god, or even in between."

Raliena says, "not to be a stater of possible bad things, but could this potentially have to do in part with Necromancy as a whole."

Terra says to Alexsei, "I'm leaving, contact me if you need help out."

Peridema asks Raliena, "What would Urvkil's concern with necromancy be, though?"

Niynon says, "I didnt want to mention it myself."

Rekletiva says, "I have heard no indication of necromancy."

Caelumia asks, "Necromancy?"

Alexsei says to Zelion, "I follow Eylhaar as the harbinger of change, and so I could not agree more."

Raliena says, "I mean it seems from what is being shown to us is the birth of a new magic."

Raliena says, "potentially a dark and dangerous magic. but still"

Stolas says, "Well, I did come here to discuss problems facing our guild. But if the Rippentrops feel they need to badger people, I do not need to be here."

Rekletiva asks Raliena, "From where do you draw this delightful conclusion?"

Rekletiva says, "Necromancy is not new."

Raliena says, "new old magic "

Raliena asks, "better?"

Rekletiva says, "No."

Dalbin says, "Ugh so much nitpicking"

Pormithius says, "Stolas you are being given one more chance to keep your mouth shut unless you have something helpful to say."

Rekletiva asks, "I'd like to hear why you think a new magic will be born, based on these visions?"

Zelion says, "maybe not birth of new, but a combining of what we know into something else"

Pormithius slowly says to Stolas, "You heard me."

Stolas says, "Must be a Celestian to be giving such orders in the Observatory."
R>
Raliena says, "well"

Pormithius gestures at Stolas.
The shimmering globe of blue fire surrounding Stolas flares brightly!
The shimmering globe of blue fire suddenly extinguishes.
Glistening blue lines floating in the air shudder with the force of the spell!
Stolas jerks his head, grimaces, and clenches his fists.

Pormithius grabs Stolas's arm and drags him east with him.

Dark Mystic Pormithius just arrived.

Rekletiva says, "And that's why he was spelling up."

Caelumia quietly asks, "Anyone else want to create a ruckus?"

Raliena asks, "being the fact that there is deffinate shifting in the lunar planes... and potentially some in the holy magic planes of the clerics... forgive me if im wrong but isnt necromancy a combination of said magics?"

Caelumia slaps a hand to her cheek and looks about in confusion.

Caelumia jumps back, looking startled!

Rekletiva says, "No, it is not."

Raliena asks, "it isnt huh?"

Caelumia gets a pitted gold sigil from inside a black velvet sundries bag embellished with fine embroidery.

As Caelumia drops her gold sigil, it makes a high-pitched whistle and then explodes into a thousand multicolored splinters.
You sense a massively powerful wave of Lunar mana pulse through the area, originating at the point where the gold sigil fell.

Caelumia says, "Disgusting creatures."

Kelnorree asks Caelumia, "what was that?"

Raliena asks, "well then would someone like to explain to me what necro magic is then since i evidently have it wrong?"

Rekletiva says, "Perverted Life magic."

Caelumia says to you, "Something licking me."

Caelumia babbles incoherently.

Caelumia glances at you.

Caelumia glances at Kelnorree.

Caelumia sighs.

Raliena says, "life being.. holy"

Raliena says, "or light"

Caelumia says, "Life being Life."

Kelnorree says, "I did not lick you"

Kelnorree says, "I have ale for that"

Kasrkyn says, "life being the magic used by Empaths and Rangers"

Rekletiva says, "Go ask a Cleric to cast a Life magic spell."

Niynon quietly says, "that would hurt.."

Raliena asks, "but the magic they use is a combination of all magics is it not?"

Rekletiva asks, "Woman, are you even a mage?"

Alexsei says, "In any case, I also need to be on my way. I will continue to ponder these events and portends further, and thank you kindly for the information."

Vermire says, "Yes, she is."

Raliena says, "do not give me an additude for asking questions ... i have yet to be rude to you you need keep your temper in check with me too "

Shadowmancer Stolas just arrived.

Marsais says to Raliena, "Necromancy can be a mixture of either Life and Lunar mana or life and elemental mana. So i've read."

Caelumia says to Raliena, "Holy mana is not involved in the creation of necromancy, to be plain."

Raliena says, "that is all i was asking I was under the impression that it was a compilation of all magics be them dark or light."

Kasrkyn says, "Holy mana and Life mana are to different to mix. I't been attempted, and it just does nothing"

Raliena says, "thank you both for explaining that without hostility"

Wildluck says, "An interesting meeting as usual. But I think it's time for me to go."

Kelnorree asks, "can you combine Life, Elemental, and Holy magics?"

Caelumia says, "You can't combine Life and Holy."

Caelumia asks, "And how is it people feel this is relevant to recent portents?"

Zelion says, "it is the act of necromancy, undoing of the gods natural plan of life, that makes people thing it is "evil" or unholy"

Caelumia says, "Urvkil is not a necromancer."

Zelion asks, "am i right?"

Mozzik says, "It can, but that is not universally true."

Marsais says, "Urvkil said that sometimes the simplest answer is the correct answer. I think we can apply that to these visions."

Kelnorree says, "oil and water do not mix, yet if you add flour they do"

Caelumia says, "Mages do what is unnatural all the time."

Kasrkyn says, "unoly only that it goes against the edicts of the Immortals, it does not involve holy mana"

Mozzik says, "However, Caelumia is right, this seems fairly unrelated to the topic at han."

Mozzik says, "Hand, excuse me."

Peridema says, "It seems for the most part what we've managed is an exchange of information about current events, and the visions that have been floating around."

Caelumia says, "It is...typically... best to go with the simplest answer."

Kelnorree asks Mozzik, "very well, then how should we interpret these visions in order to act with some semblance of a plan?"

Zelion says, "going back to my comment earlier... saying the pins represent other than our moons.... life, lunar, elemental mana..."

Zelion says, "shattering on the floor"

Zelion says, "the webs failing"

Zelion says, "comining"

Zelion says, "leaving us with a sense of seperation from what we know"

Zelion says, "er combining rather"

Raliena says, "like....necromancy"

Zelion says, "no one will know untill the events shown to us unfold"

You say, "What would the black pin represent? Holy is generally represented by white, life by green."

Raliena asks, "sorcery?"

Rekletiva says, "And Lunar is represented by a rainbow."

Zelion asks, "opposite of white is what?"

Zelion says, "black..."

Caelumia says, "Obviously."

Zelion says, "opposite of holy is unholy"

Caelumia says, "I practically crap rainbows."

Dalbin asks, "Anything else represented by a rainbow?"

Zelion says, "opposite of clerics would be necromancy, in that terms"

Raliena says, "empaths"

Raliena laughs!

Rekletiva asks Caelumia, "A prismatic spray?"

Zelion asks, "the pin tho, recite that vision?"

Vermire says to Zelion, "The opposite of a Cleric is a Moon Mage."

Mozzik says to Rekletiva, "Depends on what she's had to eat recently."

You say, "All Im' saying is that it's like trying to get a metaphor out of a metaphor. You can come up with anything that way."

Rekletiva says to Mozzik, "Naturally."

Raliena says, "just kills me to see everyone being so obtuse "

Zelion says, "indeed but in light of events of the past..."

Rekletiva says to Raliena, "Now you know how I feel."

Caelumia says to Raliena, "Funny, I know the feeling."

Zelion says, "this... weasel whoever it, he, she, they are"

Niynon says, "God of trickery"

Zelion says, "are seeking someone, something"

Zelion says, "the nightingale"

Kelnorree asks, "is the Nightingale then a person?"

Zelion says, "urvkil spoke well when he said stufy the sky"

Caelumia says, "Urvkil is very insistent about it being the constellation itself."

Caelumia says, "The priests believe it is to do with Immortals."

Zelion says, "person, item, creature, planet, moon.,.... who knows"

Stolas says, "Of course he is."

Caelumia says, "Which you believe, well, it's up to you I suppose."

Zelion says, "indeed"

Caelumia says, "I do suspect the answer is somewhere in between. That the stars lead to some greater metaphor."

Raliena says, "im just saying, why is everyone so completely biased against the idea that this could potentially be about a combined magic source. such as necromany or a dark magic like sorcery im not understand why this could be unfathable."

Pormithius says, "As it has been said though, even though they believe that it has to do with the gods, or doesn't. They're concern is drastically the same."

Stolas says, "Urvkil, believes that the constellation is seperate from the god. "

Niynon says to Raliena, "People don't like to think about necromancy."

Stolas says, "Constellations are a metephor and expression of the god they represent."

Raliena says, "Its ignorance like that that will have people dead if it does happen to be about it."

Caelumia says to Raliena, "Because I have not heard anything to support this assertion."

Stolas says, "Much like the planets."

Kelnorree says, "then, if Urvkil is urging us to separate the godly aspects of the constellation, perhaps we should dwell on the magical aspects it represents"

Kelnorree says, "that of magic and defense"

Stolas says, "You do yourself a disservice if you remove all interaction between a god and the constellation."

Zelion says, "let the clerics concern themselves with the godly aspect they see"

Kelnorree says, "I do myself a disservice if I do not consider all possible aspects I would think"

Peridema says, "I think we've been pretty open so far about discussing the symbolic aspects of the constellations."

Stolas asks, "Perhaps you should concern yourself with the element of the gods within yourself?"

Raliena says to Caelumia, "I do not think all things have been revealed concerning this just yet. I think it is still wise to keep minds open"

Erelieva says, "What relationship, if any, has the Nightingale shared with the Ox, or the Weasel? Or from the religious viewpoint, Phelim with Truffenyi or his dark aspect? The relation between the Ox and the Weasel seems significant."

Kelnorree says, "perhaps I should"

Stolas says, "But, then everyone should."

Kelnorree says, "though I think that perhaps you are not the one to judge that matter"

Caelumia says, "I will look toward the most likely and logical conclusion. I will not whip myself up into a hysteria without evidence."

Zelion says, "they rise soon, the heavens will reveal to us what we need to know to survive"

Stolas says, "I am the only one who can judge myself."

Rekletiva says to Stolas, "I am quite capable of judging you, sir."

Rekletiva says, "Just thought you should know."

Stolas asks, "But, would it be a proper or just judgement?"

Kelnorree says, "then allow that I can judge for myself"

Raliena says, "No one said anything about hysteria."

Peridema says to Erelieva, "I believe they mentioned earlier that the Ox is a symbol of Truffenyi, the Weasel a symbol of Huldah, Truffenyi's dark aspect."

Stolas says, "You can judge yourself."

Stolas says, "Playing with Huldah is like playing with a Shadowmaster, both end up with someone crying."

Erelieva asks Peridema, "Yes, that I realize. The connection to the Nightingale is the one thats curious. Why does it become significant when the Ox sets?"

Rekletiva says, "I do not recall any relationships drawn between the patron of our planet and the patron of our night sky."

Caelumia says, "Shadow Masters do not really -cry- in my experience."

Stolas says, "The planets are all domains of the gods."

Stolas says, "No, but Shadowmasters and sorrow go hand in hand."

Caelumia says to Rekletiva, "Look at what each diety represents. On a more basic level. Do not look at them as entities, but as symbols."

Peridema says to Erelieva, "I suppose that connection has not been drawn clearly."

You say, "When they get blasted by a ray of light, the shards of shadow sort of look like tears."

Caelumia says, "That may be more helpful."

Stolas asks, "Are you not going to police her tongue?"

Pormithius says to Stolas, "Stop while you're ahead."

Stolas asks, "Or are you here for only the benifit of the few?"

Caelumia says, "I planned and organized this meeting. And it's like herding cats."

Stolas says, "Any group with free form discussion will be that way."

You also see a disagreeable Shadow Servant, a misshapen Shadow Servant, a looming Shadow Servant, a shadowling, a large wooden sign and a small bubbling cauldron of viscous gloop.
Also here: Fateweaver Mozzik, Navigator Rekletiva, Lyzalian, Shadowmancer Stolas, Dissident Valcrest who is sitting, Dark Mystic Pormithius, Scholar Aynga, Magus Malzard, Contemplator Kelnorree who is sitting, Arcane Researcher Erelieva who is sitting, Exorcist Niynon who is sitting, Sage Kougen, Mermaid Aeviona who is sitting, Kaiyven, Reduvi who is sitting, Student Teacher Peridema, Fateweaver Caelumia, Marsais, Tezirite Rivos who is sitting, Shadowmancer Zelion who is sitting, Vermire, Witch Doctor Kasrkyn, Celestian Skaen who is sitting.
Obvious exits: east, south.

Stolas says, "Democracy and equality are hard on leaders."

Mozzik says to Caelumia, "Welcome to any organization task involving more then three people in the history of ever."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "They usually don't go too bad."

Stolas asks, "It takes a stern fist to bring the rabble in line, isnt that correct Pormithus?"

Pormithius says to Stolas, "Quite. But as I said, stop while you're ahead. You are only interupting at this point."

Kelnorree asks, "if Truffenyi represents strength and power, when his symbol sets, power lessens yes?"

Caelumia says, "Truffenyi is the great protector of mortals."

Stolas asks, "Interrupting is a crime in Zoluren now?"

Malzard says, "I'm going to rest. Thank you all for the conversation."

Kelnorree says, "so mortals are at risk in these visions"

Stolas asks, "Especially when interjecting views are expressed?"

Reduvi says, "If everyone's power lessens, how would you tell? It would still be relative."

Rekletiva says to Kelnorree, "Yes."

Mozzik says to Caelumia, "I think we should hold the meeting on the Astral Plane. Would make people think quickly and concisely."

Malzard quietly asks Caelumia, "His things...?"

Zelion says to Caelumia, "this is why i inquired about your notes the other eve, to clarify myself alittle more on what we speak of tonight"

Caelumia gets a misty-grey haversack from inside her suede haversack.

Caelumia offers Malzard a misty-grey haversack.

Malzard accepts Caelumia's haversack.

Malzard nods graciously at Caelumia, giving her a polite smile.

Kelnorree asks, "what if the power did not lesson for everyone?"

Caelumia says, "My notes, eh."

Malzard says to Caelumia, "Thank you for calling us together."

Caelumia says, "And the way Urvkil speaks of it..."

Caelumia says, "The Ox setting is inevitable. The Nightingale -must- take its place."

Zelion says, "of the visions"

Peridema says to Stolas, "I think what's being asked of you is to contribute to the topic at hand, rather than an injustice you may feel was inflicted on you."

Kelnorree says, "so Phelim arises"

Stolas says, "I think I am done being attacked and bullied by Rippentrops this evening."

Shadowmancer Stolas just went east.

Pormithius says, "Thankfully."

Kelnorree says, "and is threatened by trickery"

Peridema says, "Well, that's your perogative..."

Servaius says, "I apperaently missed the excitment."

Mozzik says, "Okay I arrived a little late..."

Mozzik asks, "But has anyone else recalled their basic astrology?"

Rekletiva asks Caelumia, "Is there a connection between Truffenyi and the Sun that I'm not aware of?"

Kandalas says, "I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, but I'm most curious about how this unsettling change in the heavens correlates to an upheaval of sorts with the Gods... If this has been discussed, just dismiss my inquiry."

Caelumia says to Rekletiva, "In the old myth, Truffenyi rallied the gods by pointing out that the World Dragon would consume the sun. That is all I can think of."

Mozzik says, "The Ox does set just a few andu before the Nightingale rises."

Mozzik says, "It's just an astrological fact."

Peridema says, "So each of these gods had a role in the World Dragon story."

Kelnorree asks, "what other interpretations are there for the Nightingale fading from view?"

Marsais asks Mozzik, "And the Weasel rises a bit before the nightengale, correct?"

Caelumia says, "Well keep in mind some believe the stars are -literally- fading away in the sky."

Mozzik says, "It does."

Skaen says to Marsais, "Near the end of this month"

Kelnorree says, "I still think the Weasel rises after"

Mozzik says, "The Ox will set on the 337th day."

It has been 391 years, 289 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
It is the 8th month of Skullcleaver the Dwarven Axe in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare.
It is currently fall and from here you can only see that it's nighttime.

Mozzik says, "The Nightingale rises on the 342nd."

Mozzik says, "And the weasel the 318th."

Kelnorree says, "I mean over the course of a night, the Nightingale rises first"

Caelumia says, "I believe we will see either way soon enough."

Caelumia says, "In part because it does refer to timing."

Caelumia says, "And who knows then."

Kelnorree says, "hence the juggling pins"

Caelumia says, "I suppose we observe...and hope it helps protect against whatever it is we're supposed to be afraid of."

Mozzik says, "Yes. It seems logical to use it as a timing system."

Mozzik says, "Far from certain."

Kelnorree asks, "a countdown perhaps?"

Mozzik says, "But it's a reasonably narrow band of time."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "It is my best guess."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "Though I wonder what role the Voidspawn have to play in it directly."

Caelumia says, "It is not unprecedented for Plane creatures to converse with mortals."

Mozzik says, "That I do not know, I'm not well versed in all we're discussing here."

Kandalas asks, "With members of the Clerigy?"

Kandalas asks, "Er, Clergy?"

Mozzik says, "I just cannot avoid pointing out simple facts when they're in front of me."

Kelnorree asks, "do not these creatures lie?"

Caelumia says, "No. With Seers."

Caelumia says, "I'm sure they are capable of lying, in some capacity."

Kandalas asks, "And the man in Riverhaven. He was no Seer, right?"

Caelumia says, "Urvkil is a Seer."

Kandalas asks, "Are we only discussing Urvkil here?"

Caelumia says, "And he is who speaks with Voidspawn, and goes by that title."

Caelumia says, "That is what I am talking about right now."

Mozzik asks Caelumia, "Again, I've not delt with Urvkil myself, but does he speak to voidspawn, or claim to speak to voidspawn?"

Kelnorree says, "it would be interesting to hear from him on this subject"

Caelumia says, "No one has seen it."

Caelumia says, "But it was the crime he was convicted for."

Caelumia says, "Consider what Voidspawn are, though."

Marsais says, "Hm, the Ox is the symbol of protection for mortals. While the Weasel despsies mortals."

Caelumia says, "They are not... intelligent creatures, as we measure the shadows."

Skaen says, "The tame tenebraeling suggests communication or domination"

Kelnorree says, "or partnership"

Caelumia says, "They are not the same thing, though."

Caelumia says, "Voidspawn are embodiments of pure anger."

Kelnorree asks, "could they not be manifestations of his own madness then?"

Caelumia says, "Ealuik ventured a guess that he may use his own anger to help summon them."

Kelnorree asks, "could the tenebraeling be dominating Urvkil?"

Caelumia says, "Though... him creating them... an interesting thought. It is said Voidspawn are created occasionally by a particular spirit of the Plane."

Caelumia says, "It would be completely unprecedented by a mortal man though."

Kelnorree asks, "what if he is no longer fully mortal?"

Mozzik dryly says, "An easy enough theory to test."

You ask, "Tenebraelings are really far down on the whole shadow-creature-ladder though, yes? So if someone were to try to create a shadow creature, they would likely start with a tenebraeling?"

Servaius says, "That would bend the boundries of speculation though would it not? "

Caelumia says, "Goes back to the whole created-versus-summoned argument for shadowlings."

You say, "Well, not really trying to debate that. Create. Summon. Dominate. Point being that it may be worth considering at greater length how Urkvil 'got' a tenebraeling."

Rivos asks, "Are shadowling of the same sort as tenebraelings and other shadow beings?"

Kelnorree says, "and I am wondering if a tenebraeling 'got' Urvkil"

Mozzik says to Rivos, "They share some traits... though they rather lack the claws."

Peridema says, "I'm trying to remember who said this. I overhead that Urvkil compared it to our shadowlings."

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "Tenebraelings are not powerful. Or particularly intelligent. They are like animals."

Caelumia says, "Worse than the Voidspawn even."

Caelumia says, "Not entirely shocking he could keep one as a pet."

Marsais says, "We summon Shadow Creatures all the time."

Niynon says, "Maybe he's simply come to teach you all how to do what he's done. And keep tenebraelings as pets."

Rekletiva asks, "They're shards, aren't they?"

Mozzik says, "If anyone wishes to know more about void spawn... I'll happily escort you to Taisgath."

Kelnorree asks, "would they be useful as pets?"

Niynon says, "Well you already fine shadowlings useful"

Niynon says, "And the Shadow Servants"

Kelnorree says, "I have no direct experience with either"

Kelnorree says, "except when one tries to eat my footwear"

Rivos asks, "I was thinking, if we can control shadowling, would extending that control to other shadow beings really be that difficult?"

Mozzik says to Caelumia, "Now do that with a Shadow Master. Clearly demonstrate the difference."

Peridema says to Kelnorree, "Shadowlings help us recover attunement."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "I find the masters to be beautiful creatures but not given to displays of affection."

Mozzik says, "While that's a logical extention, it's pure guesswork."

Caelumia says, "Control is a touchy word."

Niynon says, "Its all guesswork at this point"

Mozzik asks, "Are they even from the same source? Are they connected?"

Niynon says, "So why not guess."

Caelumia says, "To an extent. There are some who can kind of manage it."

Mozzik asks, "For that sake... do we even control shadowlings?"

Marsais says to Mozzik, "I pet one of Urvkil's Tenebraelings."

Rivos says, "That's what I was wondering."

Kelnorree asks, "so, is it the consensus that this Urvkil is acting on his own motives?"

Mozzik says, "We can summon and dismiss them... but aside from that..."

Kelnorree asks, "for our benefit?"

Caelumia says, "People give the creatures of the Plane far too little credit."

Marsais says, "I think they are just misunderstood."

Peridema says, "I'm still really not sure what his motivation is in warning us."

Caelumia says, "Recall if you would the stories of godlike spirits that inhabit it. Devastatingly powerful and intelligent creatures."

Rekletiva asks Caelumia, "The Shadow Plane? Or the Astral?"

Caelumia says, "The Plane of Probability, in the whole."

Kelnorree says, "which is why I am wondering if the tenebraeling is not some sort of leash on this Urvkil"

Rekletiva says, "Hm."

Caelumia says, "Though Pelag in the Astral Plane..."

Caelumia looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Marsais asks, "If the Tenebraelings had control of Urvkil what would it matter?"

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "You need to understand something."

Caelumia says to Kelnorree, "Listen to me. The difference between a tenebraeling and an umbramagus or a shadow master is the difference between a small terrier and myself."

Kelnorree asks, "better grooming habits?"

Mozzik says, "Which is to say, it barks and pees on things."

Niynon gags horribly and gasps for air!

(Rekletiva bites his tongue.)

Caelumia shuns Kelnorree. A small tinge of loneliness touches you.

Caelumia says, "So anyway."

Kelnorree says, "sorry, that way unfounded"

Kelnorree says, "was unfounded"

Kelnorree says, "I have had perhaps had too much ale"

Marsais says, "I've been thinking of that that mortar and pestle that Urvkil has."

Marsais says, "I'm thinking it's rather simple."

Caelumia says, "It's just a mortar and pestle."

Marsais says, "The Ox is the symbol of protection for mortals. The Weasel despises mortals."

Caelumia says, "It's just a mortar and pestle."

Marsais says, "Yes I realize that."

Caelumia says, "You are repeating the same things over and over."

Kelnorree softly says, "apparently not all things are acceptable metaphors"

Marsais says, "Let me get to my point."

Rekletiva says, "Let him finish."

Marsais says, "Which is simple."

Caelumia says, "We are aware of what the Ox and Truffenyi are. Please, get to your point."

Marsais says, "A pestle stirs and crushes whatever is in the mortar."

Marsais says, "The Weasel is stirring up trouble for us mortals."

Marsais says, "Simple."

Mozzik asks, "So Stolas is a pestle?"

Caelumia asks, "...and?"

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "Clearly."

Kandalas says, "We've all had visions of two men armwrestling in a temple. Fynes babbled about stars fading."

Servaius says, "My apploguies I fail to follow the meaning of what you are implying."

You quietly say to Mozzik, "No, Stolis is the jadice flower. Pormithius is the pestle.."

Aeviona asks, "Do any enchantments ever require any time of alchemy or other lore when being made?"

Mozzik says to you, "Stolas does not heal."

Aeviona says, "Type, I mean."

Caelumia says to Marsais, "The Ox is not depicted on either."

Pormithius says, "Fynes appeared to be afflicted with a peculiar ailment as well."

Caelumia says, "Yes, that is true."

Mozzik says, "Either way... if I could butcher theology for a moment..."

Peridema asks Pormithius, "Oh? He's not well?"

Pormithius says, "It caused him to tremble and shake quite violently."

Pormithius says, "So much that he had to excuse himself."

Caelumia says, "He's from the desert. I wonder if the damp wasn't affecting him."

Rekletiva says to Mozzik, "With relish."

Caelumia says, "Making it worse."

Mozzik asks, "We've established the Nightingale will replace the Ox... at least as far as stars in the sky right?"

Mozzik quietly says, "This really shouldn't be a question..."

Mozzik says, "Anyhow."

Kougen says, "I think I'll excuse myself as the productive part of the meeting seems to be over."

Mozzik says, "If we are to assume that we're dealing with the stars a representations of the Gods."

Servaius asks, "Is this Fynes also a Kaldar or one of the Outcast tribes or neither?"

Caelumia says to Kougen, "Thanks for coming, anyway."

Mozzik says, "And, no, I'm not touching if they are or are not..."

Pormithius says to Kougen, "Good day to you."

Caelumia says, "Fynes is Elven."

Caelumia says, "And not an Outcast."

Rekletiva says, "Vecuto is a Dwarf."

Mozzik asks, "Is the God weakened when the reflection of their aspect, or aspects, are not in the sky?"

Mozzik asks, "In which case, it would be more of a struggle among the Immortals for relative power then a simple natural movement of the stars?"

Marsais says to Mozzik, "Which would support what Tallis spoke of."

Mozzik says, "Still... nothing unique or noteworthy, nor at all founded in anything except conjecture."

Peridema says, "Our clerical visitors may all have left."

Niynon coughs.

Peridema says, "Ah, sorry."

Mozzik says, "At least to my knowledge we've no real indication that this transition will be any different then past ones..."

Aeviona says, "Seems to be daytime now."

Caelumia says, "Tallis by her own words does not believe in the Web."

Servaius asks, "I apploguise there are several names I am not familuer with, and won't ask for you all to waste your time catching me up is not Vecuto that so called avatar of one of the gods?"

Mozzik says, "So I'm still inclined to think of it as a time line."

Caelumia says, "Vecuto is a guildleader."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "Tallis is a special kind of heathen."

Kandalas asks, "Didn't Fynes say he was seeking the heathen?"

Marsais says to Mozzik, "I agree it's a timeline, though what part would the Weasel play? To me it simply means that trouble will stir when the nightengale rises. Trouble for us mortals."

Caelumia says, "After I mentioned Urvkil's attitude toward the Immortals Fynes called him a heathen yes."

Niynon says, "And that could be anything"

Rekletiva says to Caelumia, "The heathen."

Mozzik says to Marsais, "I don't know."

Pormithius says, "And mentioned conversion by means of the sword."

Caelumia says, "Yes. He seemed a violent sort."

Caelumia says, "Felt the same way about Sand Elve and slavers."

Caelumia says, "Sand Elves, pardon."

Marsais asks Mozzik, "What part would the Weasel play in the timeline? Isn't it up just before the nightengale and overlaps with it?"

Peridema asks, "What did he have to say about them?"

Mozzik says, "Yah."

Rekletiva says, "Conversion by the sword."

Caelumia says to Peridema, "What we just said."

Mozzik says, "Weasel rises on the 318th, Ox sets on the 337th, Nightingale rises on the 342nd."

Rekletiva says, "5 days of mischief. Sounds fun."

Erelieva asks, "The Weasels role may just be pinpointing the time of greatest strife - the andaen between the setting of the Ox and the rising of the Nightingale, when the Weasel will have unopposed influence?"

Marsais says, "That actually makes sense."

Mozzik says, "I don't see how that can be right..."

Mozzik says, "There are a lot of stars in the sky."

Erelieva says, "Well, unopposed by the only other constellations that have been mentioned so far. Which brings me back to why must the Nightingale be the new guardian."

You say, "The weasel is the only aspect of Truffenyi in the sky during that time is the point... so to wax theological, we no longer have the protection of Truffenyi or Alamhif. Huldah reigns."

Rekletiva cheerfully says to Mozzik, "Obviously, it's only the constellations we recognize that matter."

Marsais says, "And Urvkil said that the Nightengale must replace the Ox."

Marsais says, "Perhaps as guardian of mortal man."

Mozzik says, "Well..."

Mozzik says, "I was thinking of the planets."

Mozzik says, "Elanthia is Truffenyi's... take that how you will."

Rekletiva says, "The planets don't have aspects, though."

Mozzik says, "They're tied to the Thirteen."

Peridema asks, "How would you tie in Huldah and Phelim, then?"

Niynon says, "I never noticed how closely our two guilds were intertwined."

Mozzik says, "Huldah is an aspect of Truffenyi, which as I said, is Elanthia."

Rekletiva asks, "So what was the name of the black planet again?"

Mozzik says, "Yoakena would be Damaris."

Caelumia says, "Which one."

Caelumia says, "Yoakena is green."

Rekletiva says, "Hrm."

Mozzik says, "I assume Er'quatra is what they mean, which is Urrem'tier's."

Rekletiva says, "I don't like planets."

Caelumia says, "Er'qutra and Durgaulda are both black."

Rekletiva asks, "Whose spinning balls of dirt are those?"

Caelumia says, "Szeldia is also mostly black."

Mozzik says, "Durgaulda is Meraud's."

You say, "I think in the end we just don't have enough information to make any sort of preparation for whatever havok is about to come. We've had a lot of sharing of information and a great deal of speculation. In all of us knowing what has happened, we're now better equipped to react to what will come."

Caelumia asks Mozzik, "Want to know something funny?"

Mozzik says to Caelumia, "Sure."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "My kinship is Verena."

Mozzik says to Caelumia, "Boar."

Caelumia says, "That's so fitting."

Kandalas says, "Cobra."

Rivos asks, "Is there an easy way to tell that?"

Caelumia says, "Observe until you find it."

Marsais says, "Mine is the Scorpian."

Caelumia says, "Bastard."

Caelumia says to Pormithius, "I told you I'd tell you if I found anything."

Caelumia says to Pormithius, "In the library in Throne there are old books detailing an account a Grandmaster had with a spirit of the Plane."

Pormithius asks Caelumia, "Oh?"

Caelumia says to Pormithius, "He called it the Abyssal Child and something observed was that it threw off strange sparks that manifested into Voidspawn."

Caelumia says, "Just as an aside."

Pormithius says, "The Abyssal Child.."

Caelumia says, "Same vein as Pelag and the Arbiter, sounds like."

Caelumia says, "I wonder if there are more."

Caelumia says, "There must be more."

Rekletiva asks, "The Pelag is a denizen of the Shadow Plane, right?"

Rekletiva says, "Oh, here. I'm never going to use this."

Caelumia says, "I will."

Kelnorree says, "to apologize for my loose tongue"

Mozzik asks Caelumia, "It looks like things have wound down... would you be terribly offended if I took my leave?"

Caelumia asks Mozzik, "You were late in the first place, why are you asking me if I'd be offended?"

Mozzik asks Caelumia, "Because if I offended you once by mistake, I shouldn't care if I do it again?"

Kelnorree says to Caelumia, "thank you for hosting this meeting; it was frustratingly informative"

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "How disturbingly considerate of you."

Rekletiva quietly says to himself, "Life is like that."

Mivoring waves.

Servaius says, "Indeed thank you for hosting, I found it quite informative."

Caelumia says, "That wound up nicely I suppose."

You say to Mozzik, "That she has clearly demonstrated that she has greater capability to weave fate in her favor."

Mozzik rolls his eyes.

Rekletiva winces.

Caelumia whistles low.

Caelumia twiddles her thumbs.

You ask Marsais, "Don't you agree?"

Marsais says to you, "Hm? I wasn't listening."

Mozzik quietly says, "I'll match her control over Fate with mine any day."

Caelumia says to Mozzik, "I told you they call me the Fateweaver now. I took your title."

Kandalas asks Caelumia something in Ilithic.

Rekletiva innocently asks, "I see three Fateweavers. Who's got scissors?"

Mozzik says, "She's beeing fussy about a capital."

Kandalas says, "Be seein' you all."

Caelumia says, "There's being -a- fateweaver, and being -the- Fateweaver."

Caelumia gives Mozzik a little prod between the shoulder blades.

Caelumia says, "You'll pry it out of my cold dead hands, pinky."

Mozzik slowly says, "I'll get right on caring."

Pormithius says, "Such as a shadebringer and The Shadbringer."

Marsais nods at Pormithius, obviously agreeing with his views.

Marsais says, "Big difference."

Aeviona says to Caelumia, "I think I will be heading back myself, but thank you for inviting me. I look forward to seeing what happens when the constellations start to appear."

Mozzik says, "Anyhow..."

Pormithius says, "I will hold my tongue on that matter though."

Fateweaver Mozzik's group just went east.

Caelumia says to Pormithius, "Well, we know about your aspirations."

Caelumia says, "Ah well, thank you for coming everyone."

You also see a large wooden sign and a small bubbling cauldron of viscous gloop.
Also here: Voidwalker Itaro, Arcane Researcher Erelieva who is sitting, Tezirite Rivos who is sitting, Student Teacher Peridema, Navigator Rekletiva, Gakatari Vayato Seine, Dissident Valcrest, Dark Mystic Pormithius who is in a globe of blue fire, Exorcist Niynon who is sitting, Kaiyven, Fateweaver Caelumia, Marsais, Vermire.
Obvious exits: east, south.

Rivos says, "I was interesting for sure."

Erelieva says to Caelumia, "Thank you very much for hosting."

Rivos says, "Err it."

Rivos says, "I'm not quite that self-centered."

Peridema says to Caelumia, "Yes, there was quite a bit of information to be had."

Caelumia says, "I will be around of course if there are any new developments."

Caelumia says, "I do love keeping up on things."

Pormithius says, "Thank you all for being kind and courteous, for the most part."

Urvkil made a follow up visit this afternoon, but between the combat scroll at the end and my Stormfront crashing twice I don't have any meaningful log for you all. Just this -

>obs nightingale
You scan the skies for a few moments.
The Nightingale is unobscured by clouds.
Visible in the early winter skies, this symbol of Phelim sits perched a few hours each night low on the northern horizon.
Though there is no visual change, you sense that the prophetic significance of the Nightingale has waned. While it still provides some insight into the weave of fate, if this depletion of meaning continues it will eventually be no more relevant than any random handful of stars.
You learned something useful from your observation.
Roundtime: 5 seconds.

Kssarh uses a night light. Not because Kssarh is afraid of the dark, but the dark is afraid of Kssarh.

Observation of weasel

>Ob weasel

You scan the skies for a few moments.
The Weasel is unobscured by clouds.
The Weasel is the symbol of Huldah the trickster, and is found scampering across the early-morning southern horizon of the winter Elanthian skies.
Looking upon the Weasel causes your head to swim. You sense an already intense and growing activity among the distant stars. Though your sight reaches beyond time and your mind can navigate the geometry of the planes, the nature of this change is incomprehensible.
You learned something useful from your observation.

And the log of Urvkil's latest visit compliments of Valcrest.

You get an odd feeling that someone is watching you. It quickly passes.

Xibar and Yavash are dominant, while Katamba's influence is moderate.
Stellar Magic and Psychic Projection spells are favored.
You sense that Urvkil just located Rivos here, and you are able to backtrace his location to Tiger Clan Home, Dirt Pathway.

Rivos says, "Oh crud."

You chuckle.

Kougen glances at Rivos.

Seine says, "urvkil.."

Maleficoris says, "Uh oh"

You ponder.

Maleficoris gestures at a tiny mouse.

You happen to sense a Xibar moonbeam moving into the area.

Rivos says, "Incoming."

Seine strikes a heroic pose.

Kougen chuckles.

[Middens, Crossbow Bend]
Before you stands the Observatory of the Southern Crossbow. It is a three-story edifice, its sixteen-sided walls capped with a crystal dome. The top floor is also the nerve center of the Moon Mages' Guild, a most powerful and revered arcane circle throughout Elanthia. All in all a rather quirky structure, it manages to inspire awe and curiosity at the same time. A carved ivory door leads inside. You also see a blue moonbeam, a tiny mouse, a looming Shadow Servant, some copper coins, some bronze coins, some copper coins, some bronze coins, an ivory urn and some junk.
Also here: Sage Kougen, Traveler Vojhen, Gakatari Vayato Seine, Tezirite Rivos, Contemplator Maleficoris who is sitting and hiding.
Obvious paths: northeast.

Kougen frowns.

Kougen asks, "Where did it go?"

Rivos's cloak flutters softly in the breeze.

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Its hiding"

Maleficoris searches around for a moment.

Maleficoris ponders.

Urvkil steps out of the Moongate, which collapses immediately behind him.

You see Voidspawn Urvkil, a Kaldaran Moon Mage.
Wild eyes peer from a mass of unkempt hair and beard. Tattoos cover every square inch of Urvkil's skin, even his hawk-like nose. Depictions of the constellations of the Elanthian sky cover his neck, arms, torso, and legs with images of shadowmasters, tenebraeling, and other voidspawn filling the spaces between.
Urvkil is past his prime. He is tall and gaunt for a Kaldar.
He is in good shape.

He is wearing some soft tan leather pants.

Urvkil says, "Well, well. Quite a group here."

Rivos says, "Fairly decent, I suppose."

Urvkil says, "Time is short. "

Urvkil says, "The Weasel strengths. "

Urvkil says, "The Weasel strengthens"

Urvkil says, "The foolish clerics say the stars are fading. But they do not know half."

Rivos says, "They seem to inject their own agenda into the mix."

Urvkil says, "They do."

You nod to Rivos.

Zelion nods to Urvkil.

Urvkil asks, "And Kssarh. What of him? Has he instructed his sect not to report what they see?"

Kougen frowns.

Zelion asks, "the compact?"

Kougen says, "He hasn't instructed anything in this regards."

Zelion ponders.

Urvkil asks, "Then why have they reported nothing to you?"

Zelion says, "they never tell us anything"

You nod to Zelion.

Kalyra says, "How do you think I feel? At least you get visions"

Zelion rubs Kalyra gently, massaging her muscles.

Kougen says, "Kssarh instructed everyone not to panic and get themselves worked up, and that was that."

Urvkil cackles!

Urvkil asks, "Did he?"

Kalyra nods.

Zelion nods to Urvkil.

Kougen says, "Nobody else seems to have any insightful information to add."

Zelion says, "said the visions were nothing to be concerned with"

Kalyra says, "Gauthus hasnt said a word to any of us about anything."

Urvkil sighs.

Kalyra says, "which is concerning to say the least."

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "The consensus is to prepare, though for what no one can agree"

Urvkil says, "Members of this "Compact" you speak of. They know a trick that should reveal much to them."

Urvkil glances up at the sky.
After a few moments he lowers his gaze.

Kougen frowns.

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "I don't know what the Compact is"

Kalyra says, "It seems that our guild has really no place in anything going on. At least according to our ever silent Teacher."

Zelion says, "Gauthus does tend to keep to himself "

Zelion looks at Kalyra and shrugs.

Kalyra says, "Which is essance is semi reassuring I suppose."

Kougen frowns.

Zelion says, "unless riled"

Kalyra nods.

Kougen gazes at Urvkil.

Urvkil says, "There is no hope here, I see."

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Everyone seems to look at things as a war against gods or at least a metaphor for such a thing. Though in the end they both seem to not be the case from what I've heard you have to say"

Kougen says, "The Nightingale is..."

Kalyra says, "some of us choose to be prepared regardless."

Kalyra nods to Urvkil.

Zelion says to Urvkil, "people are more concerned with the clerical aspect than the visions we've seen"

Urvkil gazes intently at Kougen.

Kougen asks, "Losing its prophetic meaning?"

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Most, without direction for what to prepare for, have to sit idley until things make more sense"

Urvkil says to Kougen, "Aha. So Kssarh has not stolen your tongue after all."

Kalyra says, "Things never make sense in my guild till its time to go to war."

Zelion grins.

Zelion says, "this is why you are War mages, and we are Moon mages..."

Zelion nods to Kalyra.

Kalyra says, "indeed"

Kougen says, "No, I would certainly say he hasn't."

Urvkil asks, "And what do you see?"

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "I see trivial things. I feel i'm not experienced enough to notice the change"

Kougen says, "Nothing has changed visually yet, but..."

Kalyra says, "Zel why dont you give him your hypothesis"

Kougen says, "I guess 'weaker' is the simplest way to describe it."

Kalyra says, "im sure he'd find it intrigueing to say the least"

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "And from what i hear, most others seem content to wait to see the nightengale and ox and weasel in the sky before they judge"

Kougen says, "And there does seem to be some danger that it will become little more than another handful of stars if this continues."

Zelion says, "the ox falls before the nightingale rises"

Zelion says, "never in the sky at the same time"

Zelion shrugs.

Zelion says, "the weasel is just waiting to pull his trickery"

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Aye, in a single night, but they both can appear during a given night"

Urvkil says, "Yes. The ox has been valient. But the nightingale feels the wrath of the weasel most strongly."

Zelion says, "in a night, but never at the same time.... not that i've seen"

Kougen asks, "How can we help it?"

Urvkil says, "Observe."

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "I suppose that symbolizes that the weasel waits for the ox to lower its guard before he acts on his trickery"

Kougen asks, "Then it's up to the Compact for now?"

Rivos says, "Which means the Compact, since most of us are lacking the ability to observe it before it's too late... I suppose."

Kalyra says to Zelion, "sometimes I am most happy being a warrior mage."

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Though those more experienced then i feel that if this is a battle of stars and not a battle of gods, then it is cyclical and no real harm would arise"

Urvkil utters a few harsh words in a guttural tongue!

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "I suppose that why we feel the need to listen to what the clerics see, since logically this can all be looked at as a metaphor for the gods"

Zelion gazes intently at Urvkil.

Zelion says, "ugh"

Urvkil seems to be concentrating intently on something.

Kalyra peers quizzically at Zelion.

Urvkil searches around for a moment.

You hear the voice of Maleficoris say, "Since to even us, that's what the stars represent"

Kalyra says, "do I want to know"

Urvkil points at Maleficoris, ruining his hiding place.

Maleficoris chuckles.

Maleficoris says, "I'm afraid I don't hide well"

Urvkil gestures.

A brief wave of disorientation washes outward as reality itself tears wide open, forming a rogue Moongate tinged with blackfire.

A passerby runs off, screaming for the militia to arrest Urvkil on the charge of endangering the public!

Huldah is an aspect that has undead "followers"? Arent the fenrea reavers and stalkers echos of undead and trickery? Hmmmm ... almost sounds like a prelude to the necromancer guild.

All Faenrae are followers of Huldah, I could be mistaken but i'm fairly sure they are just cursed and not undead

This is correct.

I've always found this misnomer to be odd, but the Fae are supposed to be named after Faenella, suggesting that she created them. (Anything Guardian Spirit summons, or the woodfae noticed by Rangers as they trail through Central Therengia.)

I've never heard anything about the qualitative difference between fae and faenrae, though there seems to be one.

Good lord people not every event that happens now is a wind-up to the necro guild.

I can understand thinking the Veyne event was but people have gone from reasonable speculation into wild conspiracy theories at this point.

Do you think it means anything?

I suppose it's possible that they were created by Faenella and corrupted by huldah, he's a trickster
