Should be an overhead loop.

As someone who doesn't play a MM, does this just prevent the drop-and-vanish? Or can you still use it? It's pretty cool either way.

Haven't gotten a chance to play with this yet, but it looks neat and should be a nice QoL improvement. Always hate it when I need to drop a moonblade because I forgot to do something that requires two hands. Thanks Raesh!
