Hello,
Returning player here. I was wondering two questions:
1) Is there's way without the IC awkwardness or OOCness of getting a cleric etc. to check - not DO, but State of Being?
A bit of background..
I came back and had an extra character that I didn't remember and was going to reroll that, until I realized I had a SECOND leveled Necro. Not sure why I would have spent time leveling two characters of the same class, as its not something I normally do in any game.. but I thought to myself, past self probably knew what he was doing, self, don't undo what past self did.
Today after getting my main necro smote for using SRE.. I may have learned why in a possibly regrettable way.
I think I planned for one to go Transcendi and one to go Lichdom.. I'm a bit worried I may have, in my forgetfulness from returning to the game, made both my necros forsaken - especially given the fact that I have the entire forsaken and smiting messaging already on highlight!
2) I can't seem t find information on this anymore, but I seem to remember reading once a forsaken, always a forsaken - correct?

1) I believe some of the guild leader speech is different if you've become forsaken. My necromancer isn't forsaken yet, but I believe he is on the test server, so I could go check I suppose.
2) There is not currently any way to change being forsaken once... achieved, I guess is the word. Eventually, the redeemed state will exist which will allow you to back away from it, but I'm not sure if that path will allow eventual transcendence or not.

If it's any consolation, you're forced into being Forsaken once you hit 100th. I don't know if it's an explicit forcing of the flag that says you're Forsaken or if your DO floor gets high enough to force it, a mix of both, or whatever.
But I went to 100th without using SRE or Zombies, and was divine-warned and divine-smote automatically shortly after.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

If you invest slots in a specific way.
AFAIK, most do work toward SRE and CF right out the gate, but it's not a guarantee.

<<Ah, I didn't realize that was circle dependent, I thought it was DO dependent.
It is DO dependent, which itself has a minimum level which is circle dependent. So the answer is sort of both.

It's number 2 on the list, so happens relatively early in a necromancer's career.

Not if you do things the hard way.. :(

This. Short answer though is that around ~30th circle you lose your ability to get new favors. You can still use the ones you got prior to that though, until you go on the naughty list.
