Hey team necro!

We were just curious if you could give us any updates on risen and a couple of other things? We are well aware that risen are in QC and that it is a huge project but any updates? Also is there any updates on our social outrage rewrites or states of being? It's been really quiet and that can be really scary! We appreciate everything you do for us and for everyone else!

Thanks so much!

Sure. Right now there's not much to say, but here's where we're at:

>>We are well aware that risen are in QC and that it is a huge project but any updates?

They're still in QC. There won't really be anything to update about them until the QC is finished. As soon as that happens, we'll absolutely let folks know.

>>Also is there any updates on our social outrage rewrites

These are also in QC now.

>>or states of being?

These aren't in the coding stage yet, but the bulk of the conceptual work for how to code them has been done.

>>It's been really quiet and that can be really scary!

I completely understand this. Honestly, I have to say that it is the biggest reason that I personally almost never give information on any projects I'm working on until they're at least in QC, and I don't generally give ETAs on projects even once they're in QC.

Abasha wanted to give tentative ETAs on the bigger projects this round, so we did, but please understand that any ETAs given on systems projects are extremely tentative. She (and I!) are super excited by all of these projects, and it's hard to not want to share that excitement with you all. This time we did, and gave the best projections we could at that time, but the coding process can often go very sideways and something that seemed like it'd be no issue then ends up taking a month or more to make work right. That's before QC begins, and with that the testing that can easily uncover a system-level issue or issues that, again, end up taking kind of a lot of bandwidth to resolve.

I know we're off of the tentative timelines on these projects by a couple of months now, but they were very tentative to begin with. Nothing terrible is going on, though, and everything is making good progress on the back end. They're just not quite ready for release yet.

Thank you Persida, appreciate the response and letting us know what's going! Big projects for us all around and I know you guys want to make sure they are all correct, saves from having 50 assists all at once when our risen eats our face or our social outrage choice explodes us.

As far as being quiet, maybe I can lure some people to the isle, it's my home away from home and who knows what might go on out there. Not tea and cupcakes for sure!

Thanks again!

Would it be possible to let us know the specifics of what the social outrage rewrite will entail? I recall that the Hounds will be going away and that non-Necromancers will be able to flag themselves as pro or anti Necromancer. With the changes in QC, is there any additional information that you could tell us at this point?
