are we to assume that this gathering took place in the other instances as well, or is there going to be something different happening there?

As mister book's "book" is in the Throne city library there, but we haven't seen him as a living entity.

On the topic of Philosophers vs. Perverse:

Know what happens to a thief trying to meet up with their guild leader when their rep gets a little hot with the provincial officials? And that's just over a little shoplifting.

Seems like although your classic, perverse, zombie...."grrr grrrr!" necromancer is always fun remaining in that happy medium could be hard to play, but also fun. Redeemed? Nah, I think not for my character. Somewhere in between that and perverse could be a load of good times. Always being tempted to take that one extra step, but not doing it because you want to remain in that sweet safe spot.....that's awesomeness and evil GM plotting.

Actually I don't really know, I only ever played a thief for a few circles, back when Kalag was still around. They are killed, refused promotion, thrown out of the guildhall?

Sadly all of my guildleaders are rather docile, even Kssarh has been mechnically made mostly harmless and more calm, since before I started playing.

yeah, we have one guy who messed up his rep shoplifting in muspar'i that can't get in the haven guildhall for about a RL year already. <else he gets killed>.

So I'd think the necro guildleader, who would know where the bodies are buried - would be very much ... p.o.'ed - if anyone got in too much trouble.
