1. Avoid Cities as much as possible.
2. Use spells when needed, not in plain sight of other hunters. Nearly all the spells give something away visually.
3. Dressing in black is fine. Dressing in White and Yellow is even better.
4. Know the lore.
5. Focus on what being a Necromancer really means to you. Not just EVIL GUILD OF DOOM. They are seekers of a forbidden knowledge, they want to fix what they consider broken, the cycle of life. No matter how insane that might sound to many, to a necromancer its the ultimate goal.
6. Above all else...

You make good points. However, as a counter-argument, the ones who just don't get it are providing no end of hilarity to me, and that has a certain value. As such, I should like to suppress your message of common sense and basic insights on how to approach this guild, if for no other reason than my own amusement.

By all means, please wear more necromancer titles in town while scripting forbidden magic at the NE gate. Especially if you wear minimal armor and talk blatantly about preserving corpses for the sake of performing rituals and the like. These elements form an essential foundation toward a path that I feel needs to be explored more.
