The Squire Program (Patron Program? I am confused) will be hosting its first ever meeting on January 18th at 5 PM EST. The intention of this meeting is to introduce the lovely, perfect Patrons to the vast multitude of potential Squires and try to come up with some pairings.
If you are a Paladin of 10th-ish circle or below, show up at the Great Cgamber of the Crossing's Paladins' Guildhall. If you're just curious about the Squire Program (Patron Program?), show up as well, but bring a few low-circle buddies.

Or send them to the meeting on the 18th, or have them post here. I dont know the entire ten, and will let each of them post here if they want to be suggested to new squires. I am one of the Patrons, and currently spending some time in Haven, can try to have someone gweth me if I am about, or I am doing a bunch of back training in orgres out the west gate, the young ones probably wont want to go in there, or ocassionally I sit up in the west housing area by the spring to do mundane things like braid with my Wife and niece. unfortunately my niece is one of those rangers that gets lost all the time so hates sitting in town.

Really looking for a bit more input about how to make it as easy as possible on the novice without them running all over Elanthia. For example, do you have scheduled meetings or do you have a particular person heading it up or would the patrons prefer to have them post a message in this folder?
Thanks in advance.

<<Really looking for a bit more input about how to make it as easy as possible on the novice without them running all over Elanthia.>>
Really, at the moment, there's no way to do that.
<<do you have scheduled meetings>>
No.
<<do you have a particular person heading it up>>
No, not counting Maece.
<<would the patrons prefer to have them post a message in this folder>>
Maece seems to want to do this entirely IC, which would rule out the boards. Additionally, while many of the Patrons are low on Squires, many of us are also relatively choosy about who we will accept and suchlike. For example, Drongol will only accept as a Squire a Dwarven Paladin who knows at least a rudimentary bit about the culture of Dwarves and chooses to worship Kertigen (or, at least, is willing to be taught in such methods).
Basically, it's a good idea to just have them come and find us, or for them/you to post in this folder. If a Patron is interested, we can always come and find them, I suppose.

The Paladin council is heading it up. The meeting on the 18th is currently the only planned meeting. This folder was made specifically for those squires who wish a patron to post in. Patrons are all over I am currently in Haven back training som weapons and armor, and will be making trips down to Crossings. So basically current methods are the get together in Crossing Guild Great Chamber at 5 eastern the 18th, this board, gweth, or just lucky running into each other.

>>>I am a 10th circle Paladin but I cant make the meeting at that time. I log on at about 10pm cst. I would like to get involved in this program, as a Squire of course, but cant do the meeting. What should I do?
I'll be in the crossing guild hall for a day or two after the meeting. I'm running this one with some help and I can fill you in on what we're doing and what was said during the meeting.
you can also reach my pigeon at: laythor
The meeting on the 18th is basically a chance for Patrons and potential squires to get together and meet for the first time, some things will be discussed and food, as always, will be on the table outside the great room. (punch and pie!)
Brittany, The patron program has been discussed in pretty good detail on the boards so far, but in a nut shell it is a way for new paladins to get the help they need/want in understanding the guild and it's teachings. 10 of us are in it right now and Maece has already said that once we're able to flesh things out it should be expanded.

Show up late. Seriously, it's possible, perhaps even likely, that we'll be hanging out around that time. Laythor gave you his AIM handle--if you play a Dwarf and want to roleplay it "properly," give me an IM at Drongol2.
<<Anyone mide explaining what the whole patron thing is about?>>
It's been mentioned at almost every Council meeting thus far. Basically, a few of us hand-picked Paladins get to go around and "officially" help shape the younger folks into the great people Paladins should be. This is the test phase, and if it seems to be successful, there might be a chance for some other folks to get involved.

Oh and when I show up I have alot of stuff so it looks like I have been around for awhile, but the thing is I was a seller for this guy and made quite alot of money when I was new.
