Can anyone recommend a training area on the mainland for training at circle 33?

My old hunting choices are no longer an option, to be sure. I used to dance around two or three Black Leucros without taking more than harmless blows, but I've found them MUCH more dangerous now.

I will third that vote. Vines/creepers. Make runs to blood wolves to keep your skinning going.

Thanks. I will try it there again. Vines/creepers were ok in large quantities for defense but nearly worthless for weapons, which unfortunately is all I need to circle right now. Hopefully the marauders will make up for the gap in weapons.

You could hop down to Lang real quick and smack around some small pecs and swamp trolls for weapons.

Or go up toward the lake. I think the trolls there are about the same as marauders for weapons, if I recall. I seem to remember staying in vines for defenses, then going up there for just the marauders and trolls for weapons.

Other options may be: Vipers and Serpents in Haven. Vipers in Crossing. 1st tier Snow Goblins on Aesry. Silver leucros on Ratha. They would teach very nicely I would think.

I really appreciate everyone's input. I'll probably try vipers next before I head back to Ratha. Hopefully they teach armor a bit higher than Marauders.

Thanks again. :-)

Random Side Question:
I thought I heard at one time that spellcasters do not teach defenses?

<<I thought I heard at one time that spellcasters do not teach defenses?

They do, but some casters spend so much time casting non-TM spells instead of swinging or casting TM that they don't move it very fast.

Exactly. Rock trolls come to mind for this- Though when they do hit, they hit hard for their level.
