Greetings Everyone,

Two days, two apologies! I'm on a roll! I apologize for not posting this sooner. As you all know, we're looking for ideas and concepts for pets. The paladin guild is no exception. The one difference with us is one of our pets is predetermined (War Horse). With that being said, 1 chasis has been determined. You guys can still fill in the blanks on what it can do. So, please feel free to make suggestions on what you would like to see from it along with your other ideas. Don't worry about the current limitations (Fights better when unmounted... etc...). We'll deal with that later. Let's get some stuff on paper for what we'd like to see from it.

I'll lay some ground rules regarding what we're looking for but I'm then going to leave it up to you to be as creative as possible.

1. Looking for pets and abilities that make sense for the guild
2. Pets can function in four phases
- aggressive (attacking)
- defensive
- utility (performing helpful tasks)
- standard (cute fluffy stuff)
3. Pets do not have to make use of all 4 phases. As a matter of fact, if they do use all 4 phases, they probably will be mediocre at them. They can excel at one thing, or be good at a couple or so-so at all of them.
4. Pets will only be able to make use of one phase at a time. It won't be fluffy huggy bunny while attacking an orc.
5. Pets can have more than one function in a phase (translation: perhaps they can do 2-3 utility functions)

So, please feel free to start a brainstorming session in this thread. Let's avoid the GvG arguments. Let's avoid attacking other peoples ideas/suggestions. Be as creative as you can. I actually want you to think outside of the box. General Note: No reason why a paladin pet can't use magic. It probably won't be the ubber fireball-o-doom though.

Try not to worry about the details, right now we're looking for pet concepts in general. Please try to avoid bickering and fighting. Those extraneous posts will muddy the waters and good ideas may get lost in the shuffle. Just leave GvG posts alone or start another thread on it.

I'll throw out some examples to get you started. Please keep in mind that this is just something off the top of my head and not the template you have to follow. Feel free to think outside of the box and be as creative as you want to with your suggestions.

Example: Regal Lion
- Aggressive (suffocate - chance to clamp the targets neck, forcing it to submission/unconsciousness)
- Utility [enhanced 6th sense - chance to detect hiders and pull them out]]

Example: Wiley Mongoose
- Aggressive [stealth]
- Aggrssive [ambush - can attack from hiding]
- Standard [fluff verbs - the options are too many!]

Example: Redeamed Spirit
- Defensive [ spirit shield- boosts resistance to magical attacks for a period of time. Cool-down timer]
- Standard [fluff verbs]
