I just completed it. Took me a heck of a long time and lots of cursing, but I got it done :)
You feel certain that some field plate armor appears to impose great maneuvering hindrance and offers:
high protection and great damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and great damage absorption for slice attacks.
moderate protection and great damage absorption for impact attacks.
good protection and high damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and high damage absorption for cold attacks.
poor protection and high damage absorption for electrical attacks.

Congrats. That's a big achievement (the biggest in plate, I think).

To my knowledge it is. I know Relayer did the same stats at 385 stones.
I'm currently working on updating all my plate armors and compiling a website. Once that's done I'll be looking for a trader to sell my stuff again as well if any of you know one who may be interested. Until then if anyone would like to buy one of the new armors send my play.net addy an e-mail and we'll talk about price. For the next month or so I'll be willing to cut the cost down quite a bit for other paladins.

Yup it is; both his and mine are fairly sturdy. During my mixing I did see that there is quite a bit of room for me to bring it up to mod strong construction, but right now I can't tell if its lack of armor skill or mech skill that prevents me from getting the same stats at mod strong. Maybe with a few high lvl CJ's I can test it out to make sure, but it literally took an hour to mix and cool (and that's not counting reheating and pounding time).
If I need to add in CJ's to the equation to get the same stats, but bring the construstion up, the cost of the armor will probably be quite a bit more expensive.

Now that's interesting. Armor CJ's can play a part by raising your armor FF???
I heard somewhere a while ago that a mech CJ wouldn't work so I guess I assumed all CJs wouldn't work.

I have not had any luck using CJ's to enhance armor. Its like the effective ranks were ignored and only used base ranks. I've been told that to cap CJ's you need 250 MD, which I have, and I bought Mithyl created devices, I have to assume that those are capped as well.
The base for my test was the hinderance on high density chains; I was only able to get high hinderance, and with a 100 rank boost expected to see moderate, but it didn't happen. :/

I don't expect to raise protection stats or lower hinderance with CJ's, but I do believe they will work with when dealing with construction and armor. Its been a long while since I fiddled around with CJ's and forging.
