Attention Paladins: As a quality of life release, TRACE and GLYPH have been reworked.

You will now find that GLYPH does all the things you used to rely on TRACE for, but better. TRACE will still work of course -- mostly for the benefit of returning Paladins who don't see this post -- but GLYPH is 100% more efficient. To show you what I mean, here's a bit of GLYPH HELP.

>glyph help
Syntax:
GLYPH -- Tells you what glyphs you know.
GLYPH <type> -- Performs the proper glyph on yourself, if possible.
GLYPH <type> [person|object] -- Performs the proper glyph on the target.

As you can see, the point here is that you have to type a bit less to get the results you want. This is live in Plat/Prime as of right now, and will move to Fallen when I'm content I didn't break anything.

Nice, thanks! I always thought <trace mana jerid> was a little silly needing to name myself.

Now changing the habit of using trace, that I suspect will take months.

I tried glyph 'renew bastard sword' last night and it did not work. Had to go back to trace renew.

Did I do it wrong. Perhaps just 'glyph renew' and it performs it on my held weapon?

did you try:

glyph renew sword

I havnt tried renew yet, but perhaps using the base item name only might make it work?

I was going to ask about/suggest the use of just 'glyph renew sword' as well. I think that will work, though clearly it's still broken. (I mean that glyph renew [descriptive] [item] should be an option.) Also, what message do you get from the failed attempt?

When I get home tonight I'll take a look at it.

"stop being stupid" would be awesome but it's not very paladin-ish

Alright, all the glyphs should recognize descriptors (first, second, blue, red) now. If you notice any more oddities, post away.

I'm satisfied that this is working cleanly, so it's now live in Fallen.
