Its been a while so the numbers might be a bit off, but as I remember, it takes a paladin about 45 minutes to teach someone Joust.

Rangers learn combat from us, then see the Stable Master to learn "War" so they can teach the horses. This is "hearsay" since I don't play a Ranger and am just going by what I was told by Ranger friends.

Not sure about ALL the classes a Ranger has to teach the horse, but I know that "War" training of a horse takes somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half. I think the minimum time for any of the classes is 30 minutes. So figure conservatively an hour per class and total all the classes you want your horse taught.
