I don't see this really as a Paladin thing. But- Perhaps when you get your horse, you can NAME it. And if you want to know where it is or want it to come to you, you can WHISTLE for it (similar to Ranger companions now). If you're a paladin and are bonded to your horse, if your horse is stabled and you WHISTLE, you can hear it calling to you from (direction).
