>>Racially-based bonuses like this won't be changing in the immediate future, but they are something we're aware of.
Any chance of getting more information about what racial bonuses currently exist? I could probably guess some bonuses for Dwarves but PAFO doesn't really work too well in these cases.

Yes seeing in the Dark, very fitting.
>>Would negate many guild abilities, spells, and enchantments.
So does anything you can light on fire. Perhaps it would just mean that Dwarf would choose not to get those abilities, spells or enchantment, or if they did maybe they would gain something else such as bonus to perception instead.

Come on now. Everything has a cost be it mana, use of a charge, or burning that 'something'. (Not sure what the cost is on those abilities, but you hopefully get the point) If its reasonable, and not game shaking, and it is fitting, and other races will get something simular as well...(We can be the trend setters.) Why not?

While Darkvision/infravision sounds nice, I have to pass on it. Theres no complaint from me about not having a racial sight thing for mines and such. I can see in the dark with a nifty thief ability.

I'd like to see some Dwarf recipes in the new crafting.
One in particular that I would be interested in is a forged lamellar armor. So far as I know, there are only two available, one in Stone Clan, and neither compares to my current forged light chain shirt. Lamellar seems like a good Dwarven niche.

A few proper ways to express the famed Dwarven rage... (Course my hope would be it would do something tangible, but just some sort of rp verb would be purely awesome to.)
Oh and the famed discipline and stamina...
Maybe something along the lines that would be for all three... This would just be in look alone, and still be based on your normal parry mechanics, we'd just have a different message. Perhaps we could catch an incoming blade/attack and toss it aside, levels of success would be based on your parry/discipline/stamina. Kinda like the different levels of crits, you'd just land the catch/toss better in messaging alone.
With a snarl on your face you reach out and catch the sword with your free hand. Staring grimly into the eyes of the troll, you clench the blade in defiance for a brief moment then toss it aside readying yourself to assault the troll.
You slap the sword aside with an armored fist.
You lower your axe and stare at the troll with a look of extreame confidence. The troll's sword hits your right arm, and bounces off causing no damage.(maybe a little too much, I dunnoe you tell me)

Hate to bust yer bubble on this Worr, but since the concentration added to the thief khri, the few of us Dwarven thieves, We are in hog heaven with that stat. Ive had discussions with people that think of playing a dwarven thief simply because of the discipline. They usually dont last because the reflex and agility hits are brutal. But Dwarven discipline in thieves guild....Rock On!

Hey Worr, I was going through an old email account of mine a few hours ago and guess what I found tucked away where I wouldnt loose it, and I didnt loose it...I forgot I had it. Ive got the email he sent out to each of the winners telling us how to see about gettin the prize from the contest. It doesnt list the names of the winners or what the item was that they won...Remember when we talked about that contest about 18 months to 2 years ago and you couldnt remember if I had a winning entry because you couldnt find it mentioned on the board? Well, I finally have proof I did win one of the catagories. The e-mail from Tribanin. Heres the email without any of the addresses of the winners...btw, there were 5 people that got this same email and far as I know Im the only one that never was able to talk to Tribanin about it.
>>Greetings everyone,
>>Rather than offer another apology for my inability to get your prizes to you, I'm going to see if I can't speed things up.
>>I'm going to ask that if everyone could send me what your alteration idea is, or a small (2 or 3) list of what you want to pick from, and I'll get the alterations done and back to you, rather than forcing you to wait till I can find the time to get back in to the game world from Dev. I find very little time to sneak over there these days with everything I have, and this way if you have anything that might not work for an alteration, I can send you some possible fixes without the interruption of regular IC life.
>>Some of you have already sent me your list, and you should be getting yours here this week. The rest of you, as soon as I get yours, I'll get with you asap.
>>I am sorry this has taken so long - I should have gotten them done as soon as the contest was over, but I got overwhelmed out of the blue, and it hasn't let up much yet for both RL and IC situations.
>>Any questions let me know.
>>Tribanin
Why I bring that up, well, Ive seen the entry that I had win in its catagory. Ive seen it in a shop in Forfedhdar. I dont recall seeing all the other winners though.

Uhh okay, but how about paste what the entries were if they are in that email to? Your mention of email reminded me I had found a partial list for the cruise/auction we did when we first got the Skeg. Well at least I think its a partial list, but I swear there were more things that won, unfortunately I don't have names attached to any of the entries. Which one of these if any was yours? (Oh and your right I believe a lot of these do exist out there in the realms now.)
In the large sack you see some stuffed mushrooms, some beisswurm blood sausage, some beisswurm stew, a pan of taffelberry pie and somebarbecued S'lai wings.
a trencher of stuffed mushrooms
You eat some of the mushrooms. The warm, earthy taste of deep-cave mushroom caps stuffed with strong, spicy sausage and melted goat cheese floods your mouth with an explosive mix of sharp and subtle flavors. Delicious!
some beisswurm blood sausage
You take a bite of the sausage.
Your eyes begin to water as the strong mix of hearty blood sausage and fiery horseradish cause a wave of heat that clears the sinuses and quickens the pulse. Tastes just like mom's recipe.
some beisswurm stew
You take a bite of the stew.
Warm and thick as paste, the delicious mix of meats and spices makes the stew satisfying and definitely filling. Better find something to wash it down with before it hardens!
some S'lai wings
You take a bite of the wings. Mmmmm! A delicious mix of sweet blocil sauce and spicy herbs awakens your tastebuds to the distinct smoky flavor of the tender wings. It's enough to bring a tear to one's eye.
a slice of taffelberry pie
You take a bite of the pie. Tart and sweet! Your lips would pucker if you weren't smiling from the flavor of delicious berries and warm, flaky crust. Mom would be jealous.

How about the map on the front page being updated for Forfedhdar... though thats probably more of an onsite thing. Also I was wondering if there was any info on Nenav Dalar? I kinda figured when that 'preview map' came out that it was actually the area my group designed for a simucon contest many many years ago, but never could confirm.

I was recently thinking about this topic (no comments from the peanut gallery) and this thought came directly because of the Locksmith Union event and places that events are held such as weddings and gatherings that someone is willing to fork over the money on...Anyway, what about a mine or large smithy for a possible future location that would feel more natural for a Dwarf that was looking at getting hitched or throw a party.
