Expanded Gerenshuge Dictionary Release Event! on 10/28/2006 09:58 PM CDT

For those of you who don't often check the calendar:

Novemember 8th at 9:30pm EST, there will be an IG event for the release of the Expanded Gerenshuge Dictionary. There will be a short ceremony in which the author presents it to Ferdahl Aemmin, followed by a reception. It'll take place in the Great Tower of Shard.

It is my understanding that prepositions come after a word, such as Surlaenis'a, Tayeu'a, Alec'i'neir. Is there any reason that Aemmin, daughter of Kulainik Emaylian, has the last name of a'Emaylian instead of Emaylian'a?

What does the 'a' denote for her? "Daughter"? If so, whats used for "Son"?

The a means of, however, there is inconsistency about whether it is supposed to be before or after the word.

Aesry Surlaenis'a (aesry = place, surlae = ocean, nis = song, a = of)

Chyolvea Tayeu'a (chyolvea = mountain, tayeu = magic, a = of)

When I checked Elanthipedia, the closest I found was the word for angry, which is upletea. But then, my feeling is that the language isn't all the way developed yet.

What connotation of 'grim?' Stern? Cruel? Death-like?

Not enough information to attempt a translation.

Though yeah depending on what you want there might not be enough information to translate into, either.
