Okay here's an idea:
I've noticed lately that alot of players are really digging in deep to racial roots. Recent posts from many of the races have shown a huge shift in people who are attempting to understand the origins and social structures of their heritage. This is awesome in my honest opinion. But as if that wasnt enough, and it is, there are also a huge number of players stepping forward and offering up what lore/notes/logs/observations they have of their own. This is probably the greatest aspect of this game to me. When players step forward and act as a community. Its really great to see, even if it has nothing to do with any of my personas.
With that in mind I offer a suggestion. Once a year, a series of polls should be placed on the site for players to vote and elect those whom they feel best expressed the ideals of the race for that year. (ex:player choice awards)
Winners will recieve:
1. Custom racial weapon. No not the uber sepcial ones (EX: no warsword) just a voucher to craft an item in the style of their race.
2. Custom racial title. Custom title using the language of the winners race.
3. Patriot Badge. Little nifty badge that shows you were/are a racial patriot. (ex: coriks wall badge)

I would guess the human to win "racial patriot" would already know about this language and its useage.

Heh, if only it was so easy. However the idea here is that GM's put togeather a list of RP'ers based on thier observations (in Game and on Forums) the list would be tranfered into a poll, and players would choose the name from the list that they feel did the best job.
If you want those dibs, keep doing your tog-thing. You've gt my thumbs up even if this "patriot" idea doesnt even get off the ground.

I was making a comment on the fact that, as far as I'm aware, there are no weapons in the game at this time, either worded in gamgweth or otherwise, that denote any special 'human' style to them, or any special cultural significance to humans. It was also a joke based on the fact that human culture in DR is one of the least fleshed out in lore. And yeah, I'm quite aware of the language and its usage. There's really no need to be snide.

There's the taisgwelduan in the LTB tent. But then telo is Gamgweth for sword, except that it's a an Elven weapon. :(

I realize the person who said something along the lines of the human weapon would just be a sword was joking, but yeah, saying human culture is less fleshed out isn't really true. Everything that's NOT a dwarven whatever, or elven whatever, IS the human version. Human culture in this, as in all fantasy rpg's I'm familiar with, is the norm.
As for items titles or whatever with names in racial languages... personally, I find those to be jarringly out of character. On the one hand, as a dwarf (the character), who understands Haakish, I (the player) shouldn't have to look away from the game to look up what a word means, If I see someone with a Haakish title, it should be translated for me to understand. On the other hand, as a dwarf (the character), who doesn't understand ilithic (in a world where no amount of intelligence or scholarship will allow you to learn another races language), I (the player) should not be able to look away from the game and look up what a word means. If someone has an elven title, it should be gibberish to me. But maybe that's just me.

One could say there's really no need to make jokes on what you perceive as human culture in DR. It offers nothing to the topic or the suggestion and only serves to clutter the page with senseless rambling and ranting about one specfic race when this suggestion was for all the races.

Considering the amount of Elven Sects, and Elothean Houses, Human Tribes, and the various racial clans/packs/familes/prydes I think it would be best to just limit it to a broad subject of just race. I thought about what might happen if there were like a 5 Elven Patriots (Sand, Forest, Mountian, Snow, Bone) and how that would be confusing. I think it would be best to allow players to choose which single person would achieve the honor of patriot based on their entire RP regardless of faction. Also, to add to the perks of being chosen, I think perhaps the person voted as patriot should be able to set up one wedding style race party (no custom items) just food, drinks and entertainment.

i don't know if it should be a racial weapon only thing, i'd go more along the lines of
choice of racial weapon, armor, jewelry or clothing
