Hey Guys,
Anyone know how the festival Olvi leathers compare to the rest of the leather world? Weight matters too, naturally. Currently Zen wears the Shard racial leathers, but lets face it, the plaid leathers are to SWOON for!! (Note that she might have to go more sedate, that ranger thing after all. Wasn't there polka-dots too?) So, should she spend her last few coppers, or are they just another pretty face?

(Oh and I am asking here 'cause you all are way more friendly than in combat land! ;)
not sure how much THIS festivals olvi leathers weigh, but my bard got the olvi leathers last time when there was the olvi only tent in arthe dale, and they weigh less than anything else I've had with the exception of the miladys cloak. <however, i sold that at an auction, so no longer have it. It had so many things that are illegal in an alteration now. :-)>

I'm in the same boat here. I bought mine from the fest in Arthe Dale and they are light for leathers, but I found a chain robe that's even lighter. So my beautiful leathers are sitting cozily in my vault waiting for me to gain a few more ranks, and a few more stamina points.
And YES! Those plaid leathers are to-die-for!

I'm in the same boat here. I bought mine from the fest in Arthe Dale and they are light for leathers, but I found a chain robe that's even lighter. So my beautiful leathers are sitting cozily in my vault waiting for me to gain a few more ranks, and a few more stamina points.
And YES! Those plaid leathers are to-die-for!

Ah, I thought the plaid would be perfect for my new stealth mode of rangerliness! And now she gets to make a subtle-visual-reference to all those awesomely-costumed-bad-girls in the old, old Batman shows!! (You know, the really good bad women that Batman always went goo-goo-wimpy-la-la over so that really he lost but they let him think he won because they didn't need to prove their superior skills and they gave him points for trying plus they thought he was sorta cute? We all know they were Olvi.)
Anywho...
Slave-to-fashion Zen did indeed have to get some new russet leathers. (And then she decided on plaid for stealth and party wear... Sometimes she wonders where her coppers go, HAH!) Anyway, they weigh 320 stones, compared to 350 for the Shard racial leathers. As far as I could tell from many careful appraisals, they are basically the same as the shard leathers for protection. (I got the same confident readings on the protections and certain/exacts on the others. Had to run to Haven to weigh them though.)
So I am happy, typecast, but happy!
