For those of you who dont read the IC events boards, Jomay has demanded the abandonment of the Dale! along with some other stuff. Something about Grishnok and something else unimportant. We must defend the Dale!

I say we keep the gates closed at all times. Only let citizens of Zoluren in our lil' town for the time being. Can't take too many precautions when it comes to crazy Empaths with close ties to scary twicelings trying to take over.
OOC: Most of the people that I find in Arthe Dale know nothing about her, or Olvi, the Bunglefoots, etc. and it drives me nuts. I hardly ever see any Olvi players in the town either. I could care less about ignorant folks that want in.

If it were possible to become a citizen of Arthe Dale, and control the gate that way, I'd be all for it. But, making it zoluren citizens only would not keep out the riff-raff you are trying to keep out. And it would keep me out! Nice thought behind the idea though.

it certainly would keep some out. good enough reason for me. also, i honestly dont see why anyone would have a problem with becoming a citizen of zoluren and simply roleplaying allegiance to arthe dale. it isn't very expensive, and gives you control over the entrance gate among other benefits. yes yes lanival gave olvi all the land. becoming a citizen of one province doesnt negate that. you can roleplay it countless different ways. just consider it the place where you can be found on most occasions. or the province your home is located. etc. etc.

Lots of traders come through that route. Remember that and don't forget about us Olvi from Ratha coming to visit and help! I would simply die if I could not get into the town!
