I've always seen humans in DR as the 'adaptable' race. Because of their short lifespan, those who embrace their mortality are able to bend to the needs of their times.

As the player of a human character, I'd like to be able to have him learn to speak (or even at least understand) other languages. I'd even be willing to spend TDPs on such. This might be too big of a benefit to be human only, but I figure something to this effect could be coded without too much hassle.

Most people see us like that. I hope we could move past the stereotype someday.

If that's the case, then four other races are equally or (in the case of the Rakash) even more adaptable than we are.

I believe that's already planned to be available to everyone.

Nilassa, I would appriciate it that when you reply, you offer at least something constructive rather than merely making an attack on every point of my post.

To further develop,
The GMs appeared to be hungrily seeking ideas to develop humans because, quite honestly, they're the baseline from which we perceive all other races. Humans in dragonrealms don't have to be precisely like humans in life, however. More easily, we can just examine the impact that the drastically different environment has on the race of humans between our lives and DR.

In the historical texts, many authors have described humans as adaptive for one reason or another. This has been far more the case for humans than any other. Lanival even led a clan (whose descendents are quite active) that embraced human mortality and the strengths of such. I propose that this be the foundation of what makes humans 'unique' and build new racial abilities, feats, and other ideas from this viewpoint.

Then please post something original. I'd love to see us get something new and interesting, but reiterating what we already know isn't much help.

Snapping makes me cry....
