Can anyone tell me about the role Humans have in Elanthia? Ive played for almost 2 years now and all I know is that the human nations of Zoluren and Therengia people are ruled by a Prince and Barron respectively and that these leaders have zero impact on their lives. No taxes, no social welfare systems, the only militias are completely volunteer, and people can change their nationality by simply paying a few gold at any major city's "citizenship office."
My main character is a barbarian, so I think it would be interesting to have a background of coming from some tribal village, do such exist? Are all humans city dwellers, or are there any nomadic groups? Thanks in advance for any information.

You might try looking up some information on Wolf Clan in the in-game libraries. Wolf Clan comes to mind because they're humans, they live in a relatively remote area, they place more emphasis on hunting and less on agriculture, and they seem to hate Gor'Togs, especially Knife Clan. Fertile soil for regional role-playing, if you ask me.
