Darkali arrived in Kaerna to guide a group to Sunfall Hub. The Hub is home to a small Prydaen village. There are new hunting areas nearby and new mining areas as well. Apparently there is also a small Estate Holder area adjacent. Long log below. Heavily edited to cut out smalltalk and repetitive actions.

[Kaerna Village, By the Well]
The Northern Trade road runs like an arrow through the small town of Kaerna. Composed mostly of ramshackle daub and wattle houses, the most distinguishing feature of Kaerna is its inn, which looms protectively over the other, smaller
establishments. Less a town and more a waystation than anything else, the tiny wooden-walled village hugs the road with a tenacious determination. You also see a town gate and the town well off to the side.
Also here: Larzick, Lore Keeper Ebeneizer, Petal of the Rose Mystyrain, Getrylight, Deadly Hunter Linessa, Vice-Speaker Aislynn, Holy Warrior Jofka, Doctor Tyler, Hodierna's Fist Kaelie, Visionist Miskton, Gemrardi, Nomad Ibakha, High Marshal Isharon, Councilor Longs, Safe Cracker Ezly, Tyx, Councilor Verrek and Darkali.
Obvious paths: north.
Darkali says, "Our warriors are on high alert, and the Claw members were more than a little leery, but we have all agreed."
Kaelie says to Darkali, "I can assure you that we will endeavor to be gracious guests."
Darkali says, "I suppose I should point that out. It is not a decision I made alone."
>look darka
You see Darkali Swiftclaws, a Prydaen.
Darkali has tufted pointed ears and cat-slitted crystal green eyes. Her blue-black mane is very long and thick, and is worn tousled. She has black fur with silver rosettes, a slender tail and a lithe figure.
She is short for a Prydaen.
She appears to be young.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a braided twine necklace dangling several teeth and claws, a hide shoulder tube with painted bone beading, a calf-length wolfskin tunic slit along the sides and belted with a beaded leather cord, a slender silver bangle threaded with a single silverwood triquetra bead, a mottled reaver-hide sack with bone-tipped strings and a crude doeskin pouch held by a silver triquetra clasp.
Darkali smiles at Klurn.
Klurn says, "Howdy Rabbit mam."
Darkali says, "The boulder returns."
Darkali says, "Hello again."
Klurn grins at Darkali.
Klurn gets a small boulder carved into the likeness of a mammoth's skull from inside his oilcloth rucksack.
Darkali says, "I have yet to see Pillow Head Boulder. Perhaps I will seek him out and offer him the fight he wished."
Darkali ponders that.
Klurn asks, "Oh ya mean Taytog?"
Darkali asks, "Was that his name?"
Kaelie says, "Taygar."
Kaelie winces.
Kaelie says to Darkali, "He .. well. He is a friend. But he has a lot of old hurt."
Jofka says, "Taygar? He's a softy once you get to know him."
Verrek says, "Afraid it isnt that easy old friend."
Darkali says, "He has strong memories of the darker past my father had."
Kaelie says to Jofka, "He has a history of some bad blood. He's not going to be silenced quickly.,."
Kaelie nods to Darkali.
Darkali says, "I understand such pain. It would do him honor to give him a fight, I think."
Darkali says, "Even if he is Pillow Hands."
Klurn says, "'well i had to start gettin along with King Raenilar so he can try this."
Tyx chuckles.
Kaelie says to Darkali, "I do as well. But I also remember your Father as a friend of Prayk and he helped me several times.
Saved my life even."
Tyx says, "Brothers slow to come around sometimes."
Darkali nods to Kaelie.
Klurn asks, "Youu heard Parnore's granddaughter is about Miss Rabbit?"
Tyler says, "Taygar is a good Tog. He will hold his grudge and will have to come to terms in his way."
Darkali says, "Now then. Those of you that have found you way here and are simply wondering at the crowd.."
Darkali says, "I am Darkali, current leader of Sunfall Hub."
Darkali says, "Today, I will be leading you all, if you choose to join me, into my home. Please be aware that the road is
unsafe."
Darkali says, "If you become separated, we may not realize. Find a buddy."
Darkali says, "Keep track of each other."
>join dark
You join Darkali's group.
Klurn says, "I'm not easily lost."
Verrek appears to be trying hard not to grin.
Darkali grins at Rileos.
Darkali says to Rileos, "Not too fancy. We live simply."
Rileos nods to Darkali.
Isharon dryly says to Zamara, "I was expecting you."
Zamara nods politely to Getrylight.
Aislynn quietly asks Ibakha, "Will you be my buddy?"
Aislynn gazes at Ibakha.
Ibakha says to Aislynn, "I was assuming I would have to fend for myself. But yes."
Zamara says to Isharon, "Gondola climbing was involved."
Zamara waves her hand distractedly.
Rileos says to Darkali, "Just cause it ain't fancy don't mean ya ain't got a fancy soundin job."
Rileos nods.
Darkali laughs!
Darkali exclaims to Rileos, "Fair enough!"
Darkali says, "Any of you that have not, please feel free to join me for the trip. If you haven't, I will leave you behind and I will not wait."
Darkali casually observes the area.
High overhead you hear the cry of a hawk. Looking up you spot the kestrel outlined against the sky, its wings outstretched as it floats on the wind.
Darkali exclaims to Zamara, "Ah, good to see you!"
Isharon asks Darkali, "Would the spell of Courage be of any use, Ms. Swiftclaws?"
Darkali grins.
Darkali says to Jofka, "I do not have a mate currently."
Darkali stretches her arms.
Darkali says, "I'll give you all another moment and then we'll head north."
Jofka gets a red-chested songbird from inside his enveloping pall.
Jofka offers Darkali a red-chested songbird.
Darkali grins.
Darkali declines Jofka's offer.
Darkali says to Jofka, "I couldn't begin to eat now. I'm just as nervous as most of you all."
Jofka says, "I get hungry when I'm nervous."
Jofka viciously tears the wings off his songbird, discards them and then slowly peels the feathers and skin away from the legs, revealing fresh meat. Jofka sinks his fangs into the poor creature as it shrieks painfully.
Jofka digs into the songbird's flesh, going after tender portions of meat under the feathers while avoiding its thrashing beak and feet.
Jofka asks, "I can't be expected to defend myself on an empty stomach now, can I?"
Jofka pops the remaining pieces of the red-chested songbird into his mouth, clearly savoring the meal. Afterward, he plucks a few stray feathers from his mouth.
Darkali says, "Alright. We're off! Join me now or be left behind."
To the north you can hear the bustle and clamor of the village of Kaerna.
You follow Darkali north.
[Kaerna Village, Intersection]
The main activity of the town seems to be concentrated here where traders, villagers, and travellers from afar gather to exchange information or engage in a bit of bartering. Presiding over all of this is the Gilded Unicorn Inn, the largest building in the village as well as the best kept. Far from the bustle and turmoil of the big city, its doors are always open, a lantern or candle always lit. You also see a roadsign.
Also here: Councilor Verrek, Tyx, Safe Cracker Ezly, Councilor Longs, High Marshal Isharon, Nomad Ibakha, Gemrardi, Visionist Miskton, Hodierna's Fist Kaelie, Holy Warrior Jofka who is shining with a dark golden glow, Vice-Speaker Aislynn, Deadly Hunter Linessa, Getrylight, Petal of the Rose Mystyrain, Larzick, Infiltrator Ebeneizer, Head Cracka Klurn, Lore Keeper Broichan, Professor Elryyk, Lolindyr, Paladin Rileos who is shining with a dark golden glow, Sun Dreamer Sissie who is emanating a bright holy aura, Dafo Zamara, Absolutely Fabulous Karissa, Sun Dreamer Andersen, Thaelwyn, Sticky Fingers Veela, Enef, Spirit Lord Evro who is shrouded in ghostly flames and Darkali.
Obvious paths: northeast, south, west.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Kaerna Village, By the General Store]
A few residences huddle here, alternately shouldered up against the back of the Gilded Unicorn Inn and the sides of the general store. The store is squat but neat, its exterior newly whitewashed and a small garden carefully cultivated outside it. You also see the town gate.
Also here: People
Obvious paths: southwest.
Darkali's group went through the town gate.
[Northern Trade Road, Kaerna Outskirts]
The wooden wall surrounding the tiny waystop of Kaerna is a visible line drawn between the plains and hamlet. Thick grasses and shrubs growing against the protective barrier seem intent upon reclaiming the village's side-by-side buildings for the prairie. Off to one side stands an abandoned militia shack, a silent casualty to the ongoing war between civilization and nature. You also see a weathered wooden sign and the town gate.
Obvious paths: northwest.
You follow Darkali northwest.
[Northern Trade Road, Open Grasslands]
The wind rushes through the grass, making a soft shirring sound. Occasionally you catch the crackle of movement or the twitterings of birds, but any sounds of civilization generated by something other than yourself seem like the sort of thing you would think up in a dream.
Obvious paths: southeast, northwest.
You follow Darkali northwest.
[Northern Trade Road, Open Grasslands]
Miles upon miles of uncivilized land lie before you, devoid of any sign of humanity. A shifting sea of brown, green, and tan grasses rises about you, rustling with the movement of the occasional bird or butterfly that dares to plunge down into the vegetation. A line of dark mountains rises to the north, shadowed and gloomy, they climb abruptly from the grasslands.
Obvious paths: north, southeast.
You follow Darkali north.
[Northern Trade Road, Foothills]
The road rises along the curve of a low hill that slopes down to the south into open grasslands. The rocky crest of the hill rises sharply above you as you toil along the well-kept roadway. Local stones from the hillside have been smoothed and shaped to form the roadbed and the footing is good. Northwards though, the hills shift quickly into steep mountains.
Obvious paths: east, south.
You follow Darkali east.
[Northern Trade Road, Foothills]
You crest a low hill that gives a far-reaching view. To the north a line of mountains rises steeply from the surrounding hills, while southward the hills fade out to forest and plain. Far to the south, a heavy haze obscures the view, but you glimpse the occasional flash of open water. You also see a wrecked barricade.
Obvious paths: east, west.
You follow Darkali east.
[Northern Trade Road, Foothills]
You travel through a small dell that rises northwards into a narrow pass. You follow the path with your eyes until it fades from view among the steeply rising mountains. Southward a low hill rises, bearing the roadway along its shoulders. A Trader's Guild outpost sits alongside the stony trail. You also see a wrecked barricade, The Guild Stables, a stony trail, a stone marker and a weathered roadsign.
Obvious paths: north, west.
Darkali's group climbed up a stony trail.
[Foothills, Stony Incline]
Taking the opportunity to examine the distant countryside, large green forests in the southwest, flatlands to the south and the large ocean expanse to the southeast all catch the eye. All seem more attractive than the forbidding set of cliffs up ahead. You also see a weathered obsidian marker and a stony trail.
Obvious paths: up.
Darkali paces about in some tall grass for a moment. (searching for the path)
Darkali's group wandered down a small overgrown path.
[Foothills, Abandoned Road]
The path underfoot is overgrown with weeds and almost completely covered with dried, fallen branches yet still feels
surprisingly firm. A few pine saplings off to one side struggle to push up through the heavy soil.
Also here: People
Obvious paths: northeast, west.
Darkali says, "From here, please keep an eye on your buddies."
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Foothills, Abandoned Road]
Meandering rows of saplings impede your progress as the path seems to try to envelop you in foliage. Glancing northeast to get your bearings you see mountain brush beginning to take over the landscape. Occasionally, as you trudge along, your feet scuff up bits of dirt and clay.
Obvious paths: east, southwest.
You follow Darkali east.
[Foothills, Abandoned Road]
The rusted remains of an iron wagon, long abandoned by its owner, lay to one side of the path. You also see a wrecked barricade.
Obvious paths: northeast, west.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Foothills, Abandoned Road]
The road's never-ending battle to survive the onslaught of the foliage seems to be a losing one at this particularly
overgrown stretch. The rhythmic buzzing of insects serves as a reminder that, to some, this place is home. You also see a wrecked barricade.
Obvious paths: north, southwest.
You follow Darkali north.
[Foothills, Abandoned Road]
A single pine stands, aloof and deserted, like a lone soldier after the battle, forgotten but yet on guard. Gnarled and twisted roots cling to the poor soil in a desperate grasp, yet this guardian still manages to provide a place for a small nest. The road widens as it winds to the north. You also see a large sign.
Obvious paths: north, south.
You follow Darkali north.
[Foothills, Road]
The road here is composed of a chocolate-brown clay, cracked and chipped in places where it has dried after a season of heavy rains. From here it wends its way through hills covered in dry scrub, dropping from sight as it ducks behind a bend in the distance. To the north rises a range of stony mountains, their heights dominated by one particularly tall, looming crag whose shadow falls heavily upon the lesser hills around it.
Obvious paths: north, south.
You follow Darkali north.
[Foothills, Road]
A rockslide of mud and stone almost seems to have brought an entire mountain to its knees a few paces to the west.
Obvious paths: northeast, south.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Foothills, Road]
The hard-packed dirt of the road has been broken into a thick layer of loose dust by the passage of many feet and hooves. An occasional roadside footprint, nearly knee-deep in hardened clay, indicates that mud must be a real problem in times of heavy rain.
Obvious paths: northeast, southwest.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Foothills, Road]
Tree-dotted hillsides rise on both sides of the path, providing ample high ground and cover for would-be attackers. The road here is mostly flat as it meanders along the valley floor, although there is the slightest incline to the north. One especially large tree lies fallen near the edge of the road, its roots helplessly exposed. You also see a large hole in the ground.
Obvious paths: north, southwest.
You follow Darkali north.
[Foothills, Road]
The road takes a sharp bend here where it begins to slope more steeply to the west. The rough hew of the road's northern wall and the beginnings of a dropoff to the southern valley floor indicate that the path here was not created by the simple passing of travellers, but was instead purposely cut into the hillside. You also see a S'lai scout.
Obvious paths: south, west.
You follow Darkali west.
[Foothills, Road]
The hard, brown clay of the road is pitted and rutted where it has been traveled during heavy rains. Although most of the footprints in the road are from human-like creatures or domesticated animals, there is on occasion a large print of a four-toed creature which appears to have a set of rather pointy claws. You also see a massive oak tree on the northern hilltop and a large root jutting from the north wall of the road.
Obvious paths: east, west.
You follow Darkali west.
[Foothills, Road]
The path takes a sharp east-northeast turn where it contorts to follow the ridge of the hill above. The bend offers a fine vantage point for watching the brush-covered valley to the west, far past which can be seen the stony fist of Sorrow's Reach, thrusting angrily into the sky. You also see a small footpath leading up the hillside.
Obvious paths: northeast, east.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[Foothills, Road]
A tall, regal pine stands watch here over a bend in the road formed by the tapered end of a ridgeline stretching off to the east. The vegetation in the valley below, somewhat dry and brown to the southwest, transitions into a deep green as it nears the valley floor to the north. You also see a tree-lined path.
Obvious paths: east, southwest.
You follow Darkali east.
[Foothills, Road]
A thick jungle of dry brush covers the hillside bordering the southern edge of the road, while downslope to the north lies an impenetrable mass of vine-laden oaks. Although the gathering of trees seems somewhat thinner to the east, the dense vegetation makes travel via the road your only real option.
Obvious paths: east, west.
You follow Darkali east.
[Foothills, Road]
Tall, moss-covered conifers rub shoulders with lush, green oak on the slopes bordering both sides of the road. An occasional glimpse through the curtain of trees on the northern downslope reveals the path to be paralleling a river. To the east you can see a break in the trees where the road turns to march down the hillside below.
Obvious paths: east, west.
You follow Darkali east.
[Foothills, Road]
Tall pines stand in silent vigil at a sharp west-north curve in the road. Steep hills curve protectively above to the south and east, while to the north the landscape drops sharply as it descends to meet the river below. A slight smell of charred wood hangs upon the air.
Obvious paths: north, west.
Darkali's group wandered over to a wooded trail.
[Foothills, Wooded Path]
Cutting through the thick pines, an unkempt path climbs the hill southward at a steep incline, while to the north it descends to a dusty road. Gnarled, brittle branches reach out at all angles, threatening to grab and trip at any opportunity. Light filters through skeletal limbs, casting shadows on the ground litter in random patterns that change as the sun moves through the sky.
Obvious paths: up.
Darkali asks, "Everyone make it through?"
Darkali casually observes the area.
Darkali nods.
Gemrardi says, "Many nods."
Darkali says, "Some of you know this trail as the way to the altar for the Triquetra."
You follow Darkali up.
[Foothills, Wooded Path]
The angle of the path gives travelers a workout, navigating through the trees that thin toward the rise to the south. Ground litter makes footing treacherous at times as well as noticeably muffling noise underfoot. Despite the obvious lack of use to the area, the abundant sounds of wildlife indicate it is quite a thriving environment.
Obvious paths: up, down.
Darkali says, "I suggest you learn this particular spot very well."
Isharon jots down some notes.
Darkali says, "While the first hidden path into the foothills is known, the next one is here."
Darkali searches around for a moment.
>search
After a careful search of the area, you discover a hidden trail!
Darkali points at a hidden trail, revealing it to everyone.
Darkali grins.
Darkali's group wandered down a hidden trail.
[High Mountains, Obscured Trail]
Dense, flower-laden bushes obscure the trail to the north, and a wide, rocky path leads toward the southeast. Several pockets in the face of the mountain look as if someone were recently mining in the area, leaving the path covered with various bits of metals.
Obvious paths: east, southeast.
You follow Darkali southeast.
[High Mountains, Rocky Path]
Unblemished by trees, the trail here gives a clear view of the sky. Splitting off to the south, a steep slope leads down to a small gully while the main trail continues eastward. The pathway hugs the side of the mountain tightly as it wends its way around, creating blind corners and steep drop offs. You also see a malodorous bucca, a malodorous bucca and a malodorous bucca.
Obvious paths: northeast, east, northwest.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[High Mountains, Waterfall]
Seeming to end here, the trail runs directly toward a waterfall that crashes down from a cave high up. Plummeting down forcefully with gouts of water, the trail washes away as a river flows from the falls and off another cliff toward the east.
You also see a malodorous bucca, a malodorous bucca and a malodorous bucca.
Obvious paths: southeast, southwest, west.
Ibakha says, "Oh. Buccas."
Darkali grins.
Darkali points at a waterfall.
Aislynn quietly asks, "Oof. What's that smell?"
Klurn asks, "A bucca?"
Aislynn squints.
Jofka asks, "What's a Bucca?"
Darkali's group went through a waterfall.
[High Mountains, Behind the Waterfall]
Hidden behind crashing torrents of water, the cavern opens up into a large area filled with stalactites and stalagmites. The echoing sound of dripping water is interrupted only by the occasional loud crash from the waterfall outside. Uneven ground leads further back into the mountain. You also see a waterfall, a malodorous bucca and a malodorous bucca.
Obvious exits: northeast.
Tyx sniffs at a malodorous bucca.
Ibakha says, "Um. Mostly an annoyance."
Darkali says, "Smelly horrid things."
Gemrardi says, "So cross between a goblin and a kobold."
Darkali says, "Mostly just pests."
Tyx says, "Yup, smelly."
Tyx frowns.
You follow Darkali northeast.
[High Mountains, Cavern]
Humid and stale air fills the cave along with the echos of dripping water and the distant sound of the roaring waterfall. Broken ground falls away in several areas, while others seem impassable due to the stalagmites in the area. A small flicker of light high up near the roof catches the eye, revealing a cliff with rudimentary footholds. You also see a malodorous bucca, a malodorous bucca and a malodorous bucca.
Obvious exits: southwest.
Darkali points up.
Darkali points at a flicker of light.
Darkali's group climbed up a cliff.
[High Mountains, Sunfall Hub]
Breaking open from the dank cavern below is a wide meadow neatly tucked in a valley between several surrounding mountains. Visible from this perch, a collection of huts and tents and rising smoke reveal signs of life from somewhere betwixt the structures. In the distance, several figures wander in and out of the circle of the buildings. You also see a cliff leading down into a cavern.
Also here: Vice-Speaker Aislynn, Deadly Hunter Linessa, Nomad Ibakha, Hodierna's Fist Kaelie, Councilor Longs, High Marshal Isharon, Getrylight, Tyx, Visionist Miskton, Councilor Verrek, Holy Warrior Jofka who is shining with a dark golden glow, Safe Cracker Ezly, Gemrardi, Sun Dreamer Sissie, Lore Keeper Broichan, Infiltrator Ebeneizer, Paladin Rileos who is shining with a dark golden glow, Head Cracka Klurn, Larzick, Dafo Zamara, Lolindyr, Absolutely Fabulous Karissa, Sticky Fingers Veela, Spirit Lord Evro who is shrouded in ghostly flames, Enef, Desperado Powerhaus who has a fiery visage, Night Hunter Meganlique and Darkali.
Obvious paths: southeast.
Darkali says, "Everyone check for your buddies."
Darkali says, "We lost several."
Dafo Zamara climbed down a cliff leading down into a cavern.
Zamara just climbed up a cliff leading down into a cavern, dragging Andersen behind her.

A copperhead viper hisses and spits a stream of venom at Andersen's face, but she skillfully dodges out of the way.
Darkali glances at a copperhead viper.
You follow Darkali southeast.
[Sunfall Hub, Claw District]
Three large huts, constructed of stretched hide and wood encircle the area. Each marked with its own symbol, the huts appear to house both resident and visiting members of the Claws. Prydaen filter in and out each hut a few at a time, occasionally accompanied by an Elder. You also see a copperhead viper, a copperhead viper, a copperhead viper and a copperhead viper.
Obvious paths: east, southeast, south, northwest.
You follow Darkali southeast.
[Sunfall Hub, Firepit Circle]
At the dead center of the Hub, an expansive bonfire blazes, tended to by the resident Prydaen. Several groups gather in the area to exchange trade, words, or to simply stop and share a meal. Nearby, a small group of well-protected kits take instruction from two Claw members while nearby warriors keep a watchful eye on the area. You also see a low platform with several things on it.
Obvious paths: northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest.

Powerhaus sniffs at a wooden bowl full of snake eggs.
Darkali belts out, "Head towards the southeast until you find us."
Kaelie says, "Vipers look a little aggressive."
Darkali says, "We don't mind them too much. They're free lunch."
Darkali looks at Kaelie and shrugs.
Zamara mutters something into the air about lost kits.
Gemrardi says, "Are these nastier then the vipers near ummm..."
Gemrardi asks, "Genies?"
Darkali says to Gemrardi, "They are more pitiful. Our kits often attack them."
Ibakha says, "They appear to be a bit less nasty."
Using a claw, Jofka splits his viper along the belly and removes the scales. Slowly, he tears off strips of meat, watching the viper squirm in pain as he gobbles the pieces down.
Jofka slowly tears strips of meat off his still-living viper, watching it squirm in pain as he gobbles the pieces down.
>target do at viper
As you attempt to prepare the spell, a sense of overwhelming peace washes over you.
Jofka frowns and gives his viper a shake to remove some of the excess blood and then continues tearing into its meat. As he realizes the viper is no longer squirming in pain, he looks slightly sad before he devours the stripped carcass.
Darkali says, "Now then, from that hidden trail we came in, the next way towards here is through the waterfall. It looks a bit like you wouldn't be able to go through it, but it opens up into that cavern we were in."
Darkali says, "You can mine things in the cavern, if you choose. We usually do."
Darkali says, "In the back of the cavern, we have footholds up the cliff that lead to our little mountain valley."
Darkali says, "This area, the center of our Hub is the only area where you will find protection."
Darkali says, "Primarily, to keep the kits protected."
Darkali points at a group of kits.
>look kit
Crouching and sitting before two Elder Prydaen, the kits appear to paying more attention to the snake that one of them has managed to throttle than to the lesson being taught to them.
Rileos asks, "This been here the whole time and I didn't notice?"
Darkali says, "Also because, we enjoy relaxing without having to worry about some annoying snake."
Darkali says to Rileos, "Indeed. We've hidden ourselves well."
Verrek asks, "Is there also local economy we can see?"
Darkali says to Verrek, "I'm afraid we're not currently selling any goods, as we use everything we bring in."
>look on platf
On the low platform you see a wooden bowl full of snake eggs, some raw bear haunches set atop a woven reed platter, a thick basket of woven reed painted with a coiled viper, a round woven basket painted with a stylized bird and a clay pot of aged Prydaen bloodwyne.
Darkali says, "To the southwest, we have a hut with some bedding, if you choose, but don't expect to be able to rest without the occasional copperhead viper coming in."
Darkali says, "You are of course welcome to wander through the hub. No one will bother you aside from the snakes."
Darkali says, "The only places you will find you are forbidden are the huts where our Claw members reside."
Larzick says to Darkali, "Thank you very much for trusting us and show us the path."
Darkali smiles at Larzick.
Klurn asks, "Ya got shops?"
Darkali chortles softly at some secret joke.
Darkali shakes her head at Klurn.
Klurn says, "Might open some."
Darkali says, "It will be considered."
Darkali says, "Also, yes, we do have food available here. You're very welcome to it."
Darkali points at a low platform.
Elryyk says to Darkali, "Hard to find comfort anywhere in this region with the Elpalzi."
Elryyk pushes his spectacles up the bridge of his nose.
Darkali says to Elryyk, "We are protected against them here."
Darkali says, "They have never been to our home."
Verrek says, "The Elpalzi dont frighten the Hub."
Verrek pats Elryyk on the back.
Verrek says, "Wait till you see their warriors."
Elryyk says to Verrek, "Well ... I mean in a general sense. Not the Hub persay."
Verrek grins at Elryyk.
Elryyk smiles.
Darkali grins.
Verrek says, "Im just sayin if I was an enemy, I would be anywhere hear here."
Darkali says, "Now lastly, before we begin to head back.."
Darkali says, "The mountain trail has an area that is patrolled by my warriors. We're allowing Estate Holders into the area and providing aid to any that die there, but only in that area. It is down a slope."
Gemrardi asks, "And what is within that 'slope'?"
Darkali says, "A looping track of a path, with a nice mountain view and several bucca."
Darkali grins.
Darkali belts out, "If you have wandered, please come back to the firepit if you wish to be led back to Kaerna."
You ask Darkali, "You wouldn't happen to know any backtrails to Sorrow's Keep by any chance?"
Darkali shakes her head at you.
You follow Darkali northwest.

A small flicker of light high up near the roof catches the eye, revealing a cliff with rudimentary footholds.
Obvious exits: southwest.
You follow Darkali southwest.
You also see a waterfall.
Obvious exits: northeast.
Darkali's group went through a waterfall.
[High Mountains, Waterfall]
Seeming to end here, the trail runs directly toward a waterfall that crashes down from a cave high up. Plummeting down forcefully with gouts of water, the trail washes away as a river flows from the falls and off another cliff toward the east.
Obvious paths: southeast, southwest, west.
You follow Darkali west.
Darkali's group wandered over to a trail.
Darkali asks, "Still have everyone?"
You follow Darkali down.
Darkali's group wandered over to a dusty road.
(BACK TO KAERNA)
[Kaerna Village, By the Well]
The Northern Trade road runs like an arrow through the small town of Kaerna. Composed mostly of ramshackle daub and wattle houses, the most distinguishing feature of Kaerna is its inn, which looms protectively over the other, smaller establishments. Less a town and more a waystation than anything else, the tiny wooden-walled village hugs the road with a tenacious determination. You also see a town gate and the town well off to the side.
Also here: Nomad Ibakha, Hodierna's Fist Kaelie, Councilor Longs, High Marshal Isharon, Getrylight, Visionist Miskton, Councilor Verrek, Safe Cracker Ezly, Gemrardi, Lore Keeper Broichan, Infiltrator Ebeneizer, Head Cracka Klurn, Larzick, Lolindyr, Absolutely Fabulous Karissa, Spirit Lord Evro who is shrouded in ghostly flames, Night Hunter Meganlique, Sticky Fingers Veela, Bedlight, Professor Elryyk, Dafo Zamara, Petal of the Rose Mystyrain, Sun Dreamer Andersen, Deadly Hunter Linessa, Sun Dreamer Sissie, Paladin Rileos who is shining with a dark golden glow, Enef, Vice-Speaker Aislynn, Tyx, Holy Warrior Jofka who is shining with a dark golden glow and Darkali.
Obvious paths: north.
Darkali says, "Now that we're back. I'll go over the directions back."
Darkali says, "From Kaerna, travel north and take the stone trail upwards. Search for the hidden path into the foothills and follow it to the north and then to the east, looking for a wooded trail."
Darkali says, "Take the trail towards the altar to the Triquetra, and go up the path somewhat. You'll have to search for the hidden trail here, and then travel to the east and find the waterfall."
Darkali says, "Go through the waterfall and then to the back of the cavern. Once you find the light near the ceiling, you'll have found the cliff to climb. There are footholds to help."
Darkali says, "Once you're up, you can head southeast into the Hub."
Darkali smiles.
Evro says to Darkali, "Yas have any protection from filthy necromancers up there? I know they are particularly disliked by your people."
Darkali says to Evro, "Our warriors are quite proficient."
Darkali says to Evro, "I have no doubts in them."
Darkali says to Evro, "There's a cliff we enjoy throwing them (necromancers) from."
Ibakha says to Darkali, "Is there anything else we should be aware of? Etiquette, that sort of thing."
Darkali says to Ibakha, "Primarily, do not try to go into the Claw huts, and do not try to take any of the kits."
Ibakha says, "Common sense, then."
Ibakha smiles.
Darkali says, "No one will hurt you, but you will likely be stopped."
Darkali says, "Also, while we do have a work station.. typically our people are using them, and we do not currently have plans to allow visitors to do so."
Isharon says to Darkali, "It saddens me that 'do not try to take any of the kits' has to be an explicit instruction."
Darkali says to Isharon, "Young Prydaen are a treasure to us. Sometimes they are a treasure to others that mistakenly and stupidly see them as house pets."
Darkali says to Ibakha, "Not that I thought you would. It was only that you asked about what not to do."
Ibakha nods to Darkali.
Ibakha says, "No, I understand, of course."
Ibakha smiles.
Ibakha says, "I should very much like to take my clanmates up there, I am certain they will appreciate it as well."
Darkali smiles.
Darkali says to Ibakha, "We would of course welcome them."
Darkali asks, "There are other questions?"
Darkali tilts her head, clearly curious about something.
Sissie softly says to Darkali, "Thank you so much for the tour this is a most exciting time."
Darkali smiles at Sissie.
Darkali says to Sissie, "Thank you for joining in for it."
Klurn says, "Aye thankya Miss Rabbit."
Kaelie asks Darkali, "Do you know if there will ever be a time when perhaps some of the Prydaen from this area can house there as well?"
Gemrardi asks, "You all get hit by Elpalzi attacks?"
Darkali says to Gemrardi, "We do not."
Darkali says to Kaelie, "We are considering this."
Darkali says, "Nervous, excited, happy, proud. I am all of these things."
Aislynn quietly asks Darkali, "Would anyone take it amiss if the kits were spoiled rotten on sugar?"
Ibakha says, "Oh, that is a mean trick to play on their parents."
Darkali grins at Ibakha.
Darkali says to Ibakha, "They do not always go home with their birth parents. Our kits are taught by the Claws and the village as a whole."
Darkali says to Ibakha, "Once they are able to walk on their own and eat on their own, they become part of the Hub, and less just being someone's child."
Darkali whispers to your group, "OOC: Also, for those of you wishing for a map and impatient for someone to create a much better one on elanthipedia. Here is a temporary one of just the new area: http://i.imgur.com/7Fe2VIZ.jpg Enjoy."
Ibakha says to Darkali, "Ahh, I see. So you do not rear them as long as Humans do. That is very interesting."
Darkali nods to Ibakha.
Isharon whispers to your group, "OOC: Thanks! I will be adding the area to Genie's map repository soon."
Darkali says to Ibakha, "Some Prydaen do, and that is quite fine. It is just not how we do things. We've stuck as much to the traditions of the past as possible."
Meganlique says, "Knew we could count on you."
Meganlique nods to Isharon.
Darkali says, "Any last questions? If not, I will be returning home."
Linessa says to Darkali, "Thank you for showing us the way there."
Darkali says, "Thank you all for coming, and for making this rather unique event so special for me."
Darkali puts on a blood-red rose.
Ibakha says to Darkali, "We are honored. May the spirits bless you and yours with good hunting and long lives."
Ibakha bows to Darkali.
>l darkal
You see Darkali Swiftclaws, a Prydaen.
Darkali has tufted pointed ears and cat-slitted crystal green eyes. Her blue-black mane is very long and thick, and is worn tousled. She has black fur with silver rosettes, a slender tail and a lithe figure.
She is short for a Prydaen.
She appears to be young.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a blood-red rose, a braided twine necklace dangling several teeth and claws, a hide shoulder tube with painted bone beading, a calf-length wolfskin tunic slit along the sides and belted with a beaded leather cord, a slender silver bangle threaded with a single silverwood triquetra bead, a mottled reaver-hide sack with bone-tipped strings and a crude doeskin pouch held by a silver triquetra clasp.
Darkali says to Jofka, "No one threatened the kits, I am pleased."
Kaelie says, "Thank you again, Rabbit."
Darkali says, "I'll be heading home, myself. Enjoy your evenings."
Darkali waves.
Zamara says to Darkali, "Swift hunting."
Darkali smiles at Zamara.
Darkali says to Zamara, "The same to you."
Darkali goes north.
