I wasn't sure where to put this since I didn't see a general races folder so I thought it would be best to put it here.
Recently I had post a question on the estate holders board talking about alterations and using racial names (Dwarven, Elven, etc.) in an alteration. Iocanthe answered the questions about why we couldn't use them and said it was due to the fact that none of the races had set styles for their specific crafts. No one would know this is how dwarves make a certain item, this is how elves make a certain item, and so on.
Is there anyway that we could get something about crafts and styles of different races made offical so we no longer have these barriers?
Just something simple giving an idea of how each race makes their clothing, weapons, armor, jewlery, and stuff like that.
I'm sure you could even get a large of amount of player input if it would be of assistance.
Thank you

Hi, there!
Believe it or not, this is on my agenda. To put things into perspective, I promised on the boards last year to gather the basic biological facts about the races and to release them to the players. I just now accomplished that, with the help of a half-ton of people.
We're working on guidelines for race alterations, and that's another big project. Race alterations are requested a lot, undeliverable by GMs unless they're SURE it's all right, and confusing all around. There are things out there that shouldn't be, things out there that are okay that not all alteration GMs are aware of, and things we'd like to be able to provide more of, but haven't sketched out yet.
Once this set of guidelines is developed, it'll be available to any GM who does alterations, including members of the wedding team. A player-suitable version will be released to the masses. Things should be a lot easier to understand then, but... it's going to be a little while.
Thanks for the suggestion. :)
