What do the apostrophies in S'kra signify? Are they glottal stops, or do they mean you stress the preceding syllable? How is the work "S'kra" pronounced?

' in S'Kra is called a pishra or 'little stop'. A short intake of air, or skip in verbiage.
A whole sentence may be connected by a pishra, or everything may be completely seperated. It depends on how it's intended to be said/read.
At least, that's what I've understood it to be for something close to ten years.

'Ss krah' is how I say it, but I'm sure there are others that have come up with different pronunciations or slightly varying ones. :)

I pronounce S'Kra the same way as Inauri does, with a bit of aspiration of the first syllable.
The language is fairly mellifluous and flowing, and if you ask me, not that difficult to pronounce. I am a bit of a linguophile though.
To that end, (and because I am a huge audiophile as well) I've been toying around with recording S'Kra, then running it through a range of effects/filters to try and produce a S'Kra voice. (All of this brought on by listening to the audio manipulation done for the Turian and Drell voices in Mass Effect 2).
Now that I've gotten that nerdy aside done: I too would recommend looking at NPC names in Muspar'i, Ratha, Surleanis'a, etc, and aim for a sinuous, hissing, reptilian sound. S'Kra names to me have a 'cold' tone, for what that says.

I definitely agree. Though when you look at S'kra Mur names and then look at Names of Eloths, they don't seem that close.
Perhaps I am not looking hard, but they seem different to me.
