Since I haven't seen anything new about S'kra in months I figured I would post. S'kra is a great race. The GM's should put more effort into them. We need more tail skills and a swimming bonus due to our tails. Sooo....can we at least get that? My char feels neglected.

There was a weapon at the festival auction that was from a certain group of S'kra Mur, it was a Munga-khura or something... I think in RL it is an African weapon.

I'm not sure that selling a single weapon at a festival auction (for 6,000 platinum Dokoras) qualifies as racial development.

<<S'kra is a great race.>>
Glad you feel that way!
<<The GM's should put more effort into them.>>
Funny you should mention it... we are! Not just me, either. There's another highly talented GM working on a few things that I really think you guys will love. I'd say I'm just as excited for their release as you are, but that's not entirely true. (Because I know what they are already. Nya nya.)
<<We need more tail skills and a swimming bonus due to our tails.>>
Define "tail skills." And when you do, don't forget that the tail is a deeply personal part of the S'Kra Mur. It is the embodiment of your living spirit, and to be given the utmost respect. (Tripping people with your tail will never happen, nor will the snuggly-messages the Prydaen get.)
Swimming bonus isn't an awful idea, but it's also stepping into two areas I'd rather avoid. One being racial-based skill bonuses, which are often ill-received, and the other being swimming code, which gives me nightmares. I make no promises, but I'll think about it.
I do have some more S'Kra Mur 'movement-based' abilities in mind, however. They're currently in the design phase, but I hope to start work on them (dun dun dunnnn) soon. Right now I'm pretty well tied up in a comparatively larger area release project that's coming along very nicely. Technically speaking it has nothing to do with the S'Kra Mur, but... geographically... it might. ;-) I'll let y'all stew about what that means.
<<it was a Munga-khura>>
What Terra said. Though, munga-khura sounds cool too, and has a distinctly S'Kra Mur ring.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely absolutely do not want the prydaen tail skills. I just mean more ways to express emotion. Maybe very very basic things that other races may not "observe." Something like a tail movement that would mean "be cautious" to other S'kra. Perhaps if a S'kra has lost their tail they would gain the "smozh" title in the eyes of other S'kra.
Would also be nice to have racial items. Maybe ru'at jewelry that you can actually link to other S'kra. That way you could communicate just within your ru'at?
Anyways, it is good to hear some things are in store for the S'kra. Oh yea, any way we can get a few more options for scales and underbellies?

Our current tail verbs do exactly that, though S'Kra players must learn the meaning of each gesture.
>>Wisertime: Perhaps if a S'kra has lost their tail they would gain the "smozh" title in the eyes of other S'kra.
Although it would be nice for S'Kra Mur to be able to wear the title "Smozh," I don't think it should be automatically bestowed on every S'Kra whose tail is missing. Being a smozh is more than simply losing your tail (during an accident, for example). A smozh has undergone the permanent, ritual removal of his tail as punishment -- a fate that is arguably worse than death.
